    Absolutely amazing! I'm a soapmaker. My first time seeing candles being made and let me tell you, your attention to detail with the fragrance oils and using a lot at one time is mind blowing. I max out at 4 fragrance oils at one time when I make soap. Beautiful work!

    They all look amazing!! Where do you get your candle tins from ,candle store supplier or amazon

    • @earthglow
      @earthglow  ปีที่แล้ว

      I got these on Alibaba but I would recommend Amazon honestly. When things go wrong on Alibaba the claims process is very difficult to get anything back and tins often can come dented. Price wise, these were close to $1/tin after shipping on Alibaba (and with an order of 2,000 pieces) and I believe you can get them on Amazon for that price and a much lower quantity if you don’t want as many.

    Hello Allen,
    New subscriber, love your tutorials!
    I was wondering if I could reuse the same melting pot I mixed fragrance oil in and maybe color dye, if it happened to be the same fragrance and color? Was wanting to make a few candles at the same time, but scared of scent residue or coloration and changing the candles?? Any tips?

    • @earthglow
      @earthglow  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t see any issues with this personally and I’d say give it a shot and test your candles at different intervals-i.e. do a test after a week or two, after a month or two, and maybe one after 6 months.

    • @earthglow
      @earthglow  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Bobbi! I seal these tins only on fragrances with very high vanillin like the Flaming Candle Cashmere Cedar. I use Earth Safe Finishes Non-Toxic Preserver/Sealer and I do two coats about 30 minutes apart. 🌱💛

    Hey Allen I couldn't help but notice that your "After The Rain" candle is a blend of French Lavender and Fresh Cut Grass (as stated in the description of this video). But I couldn't find French Lavender anywhere on CS's website and was wondering if maybe you meant French Lilac instead of French Lavender?

    • @earthglow
      @earthglow  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You are correct--it is a blend of French Lilac and Fresh Cut Grass. Good catch!

    So beautiful , Allen I have a question I believe you said you used 2 cd 4, for the tins? Ty for sharing

    • @earthglow
      @earthglow  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you, Ivon! Which ones? The wholesale order used one CD 12 and the Summer Lovin’ candles use two CDN 2.

    • @ivonvalle2683
      @ivonvalle2683 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello Allen I’ve watched your video I just love to see how you make those beautiful candles.
      Ok question you mentioned the SP487 which is a vegetable wax that has to be mixed with another wax, do you mix with soy bliss or coconut soy bliss I believe these are from 16/17.
      The wicks for golden girls are cdn2.
      For your wholesale order which did you use and why? I’m learning from you, I’m not trying to copy anything,
      Lol I’ve used the cdn 2 and for me they do mushrooming a lot don’t know why. Thank you for you support, and for sharing your videos. Love you

    • @earthglow
      @earthglow  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ivonvalle2683 Hi Ivon! I blended Sp 487 with No 7/Soy Bliss, using 25% Sp 487 and 75% No 7. The main reason for this is to raise the meltpoint of the No 7 wax for shipping purposes, however this may also help make the candles last a little longer in the tins since they'll burn a little slower (higher meltpoints require more thermal energy).
      You could certainly use No 7 on its own; the hot throw is good and it is generally a single pour wax.
      CDN will mushroom, as will most all wicks you burn (unless you underwick the candle and then you'll deal with tunneling or an insufficiently heated melt pool which will not throw the fragrance into the room optimally). Carbon build up--ie mushrooming--is simply a byproduct of partial combustion (i.e. candle burning).
      We try to minimize it but is cannot be avoided. Hope this helps!

    Hi Allen, I make shower steamers and need good essential oils that are reasonably priced. I bought a few essential oils from Candle Science, but I don't care for them. I know Wholesales Supplies have oils, but they are pricey. Can you make any recommendations? Thanks.

    When you do a 1 to 1 ratio or a 3 to 1 ratio how does that go ? Is that like 1 ounce to 1 ounce or 3 ounce to 1 ounce?

    • @abeecruz
      @abeecruz ปีที่แล้ว +1

      He used a total of 9.6 oz
      7.2 oz = 3 parts
      And 2.4 oz = 1 part

    • @earthglow
      @earthglow  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yup! This is correct but 3:1 could represent 3 parts of anything to 1 part of anything the proportion is the only thing that is fixed but I do realize that can be confusing. I’ve got a whole video to give you a little refresher on how ratios work in relation to fragrance oils that I’ll link too. Hope this helps!
