The My Hero Academia manga is ending and the final war arc is underway, but now with Endeavor facing his final battle vs Toya Todoroki (Dabi), however leading up to this we witnessed Endeavor vs All for One, on the day Endeavor surpassed All Might and finally brought down his biggest villain in the series, All for One! @Tenko season 6 cour 2 was amazing and the beginning of season 6 hope they can keep up with that i have hope. Plus there will be rain again in some of the fights of next season we saw how amazing that looked
Endeavour is easily the best written character in MHA. I hope hes finally able to be forgiven for his past sins and toya pays for his own. I never got why people absolve dabi of all his crimes blaming Endeavour instead. Dabi is a grown adult, his crimes are his own. Endeavour has been trying to make amends literally for years. Its enough
It’s cause Endevour mentally damaged that kid. If he would have just spent time with his kid, and really would have seen what Toya wanted, Dabi would not exist.
MHA is a show about extremism and society taking responsibility for themselves. The family is the smallest cell of the society represented by the Todorokis. You can’t just go around and blame mentally ill people for a situation they were put in due to neglect. What Dabi did was terrible yes, but it is not to 100% his fault, as it is the result of him being side casted by his father and society. As well as his early signs of a psychological issue being ignored (ties in with the Toga stuff as well).
Shoto would have turned out the same way, if it would not have been for Allmight, Deku, Iida and the rest of 1A. Deku and his classmates caring about him and making him understand that he is his own person is what saved him from his obsession.
Dabi just never had a support system.
@@annaavertho4944 he's mentally damaged yes, but endeavour has been trying to make ammends for a while. Dabi became like this all on his own. He had a whole lifetime away from the family and hes a full grown adult. He started killing people all on his own and destroying thier lives without any care. Atleast 90% of the fault lie with him since he had a whole lifetime away from all of the family.
@@auwalismailsulaiman605 Endevour only recently changed. He is in his fourties and only changed after Allmights retirement and after becoming number one and after reflecting on that burden. Dabi wasn’t around to witness any of that.
Dabi showed signs of mental instability early on and „died“ when he was 14. Then he was in a coma for multiple years (that’s why they gave us the age). He never really became a full grown adult because he wasn’t really raised and neglected and didn’t really grow up due to being in a coma.
This part gets lost in translation often, but in Japanese Dabi also constantly switches between tameguchi (casual Japanese) keigo (high formal Japanese) and literal child vocabulary to further highlight his mental condition and the fact that he is somewhat mentally still 14 when his psychosis gets worse (Shiggy by the way recently did the same thing when Mirio provoked him and he fell into his child persona).
It’s not as easy as saying, he is a bad guy and accountable for his actions, when you are dealing with an ill person.
No person is one note, but as a parent Endevour has to carry a big part of the burden because he also mentally damaged the other parent (and let’s not talk about the implied sexual abuse, cause the conversation went „let’s have more kids“ „lets not, that would hurt Dabi“ -glare- baby scream-image of the mum with a broken expression).
The point is, Endevour was a broken person and he passed on his trauma to his first son resulting in his son going insane and being used by AFO.
Endevour cannot fix this anymore and Endevour himself knows he carries the biggest part of the blame, but Hori has done a great job by showing how the family deals with it: Natsuo cannot forgive Endevour, Fuyumi did, Shoto and his mom are still undecided and need more time. And ALL these positions are justified.
The world is not black and white and most of the time things aren’t as easy as „good and evil“ that’s why Deku flashbacked to an image of Dabi and Endevour when fighting Nagant, cause they are also proof to that.

Still Endeavour was shown to be distraught by dabi's supposed death, he couldn't have known dabi was alive and being manipulated by AFO. The sexual abuse though wasnt confirmed, parents do have these conversations about having kids, you can disagree with each other and still have more kids. I dont believe Endeavour should pay with his life. I want both of them to survive and maybe lose thier powers and start to heal.

Endeavor being nearly as strong as All Might further proves that all the he did was for nothing cus he didn't understand it wasn't just All Might power but his personality was why he was number one
Not really he was around really weakened allmight but why compared to a really injured to character to one in their prime, in their first major battle allmight and gran torino vs AFO both AFO and allmighty became permanently really badly injured causing both being extremely weakened and being exhausted doesn't take inviduals powers away as much literally losing parts of their body permanently. Seeing how useless literally everyone became sooner or latter when AFO came closer to his prime just proves how far everyone of them were compared to prime allmigh and grand torino team, for example literally oneshotting, hawks, mount lady, passion fulled gigantomachia and full power darkshadow and plent of others we really see how out of reach prime allmight was to endeavor.

But when he did and some people said that machia was so strong that all might in his prime couldn't take him out with one blow. But if one for all can do this so can all might and imagine the difference in their power compared to everyone else.

This fight reminded me that Endeavor is an extremely competent fighter after he got dogged by Shigaraki
Endeavour is deserving of number one hero after all might's retirement for sure but he still needed a lot of backup from the number 2 while all might was soloing villains his whole career.
The most compelling part of this chapter was seeing Enji realize that Touya had Rei’s quirk all along, and that every action he took that hurt so many people was pointless, because what he wanted was right in front of him the whole time if he just focused on making him the best he could be instead of shutting him out to focus on his own ambitions. It seems from his actions like Enji has really learned from his past, so I hope that neither die, because i think that the endeavor who has grown to the point of true self sacrifice could end up being an overall good character, and actual father for the todoroki family. Dabi, too, might be reformed by his father and family coming together
I feel like Toya has to survive on principle since it's a good way to get the narrative path of atonement back on track. Plus Enji surviving would be good since he could continue on that path later. Granted I would have preferred it if he properly atoned more during the series, but I'll take what I can get. Tbh I'm just happy that we're getting a confrontation with Toya and the other Todorokis.

@@PaintSplashProductions Tbh I don’t mind the filler movies. They’re self-indulgent, but they’re also fun and have a lot of good character moments
Even if endeavor had help he still did all the heavy lifting here and really pushed all for one back. Surpassing all might though would be a stretch but this was definitely endeavor's best fight so far. And it really proved how dangerous such an offensive quirk like endeavor's truly is when he truly stops holding back. Despite all his defenses and his regeneration all for one really struggled when endeavor start landing attacks with all his power and was even forced to take the rewind pill to avoid being defeated. Even with help from the other heroes and some from the quirks inside all for one it is an amazing feat for endeavor since all for one has shown he is able to take on teams of superheroes at once without any particular problem. Endeavor became number 1 after all might for a reason.

More crazier than Season 6 with Paranormal Liberation War arc and Dark Hero arc also finally adapting a skipped scene from My Villain Academia and that’s League of Villains vs CRC and Spinner’s character development and now it’s Season 7’s turn with Star and Stripe arc, UA Traitor arc and Final War arc but with Re Destro getting mentioned in each episodes Bones will likely adapt more skipped scenes from My Villain Academia like Detnerat commercial and Re Destro kills Miyashita, Re Destro captures Giran and have him delivered at Deika Tower and Re Destro and Skeptic mourns about Curious’s death and Skeptic lectures Giran about footages and after that then all adaptations of Meta Liberation Army arc/My Villain Academia will finally be completed even it’s 6 episodes total on Season 5 but more skipped scenes from Meta Liberation Army arc/My Villain Academia will be added in each episodes on Season 7 as flashbacks also including Gigantomachia subdued League of Villains and Skeptic and his troops runs to recapture Twice again
To reiterate my original comment, I don’t dislike Enji. I actually really want to like him. I used to love his character.
But like I said before, Enji is one of those characters that works less and less for me the further the series goes on and the more I think about him. His arc is easily my least favorite part of My Hero (and tbh, he’s really the only aspect of My Hero that I actively dislike). And that makes me very sad since I used to love his character.
As for why I dislike this moment, Enji figuratively killing his past self really sours one of my formerly favorite aspects about him, which is accepting that he’ll never be able to live down his past. I know the point was that he was supposed to be confronting his past directly, but it feels so empty imo since fighting AFO ultimately contributes nothing to his arc since he’s not proving how much he’s changed and atoning, he’s simply just being a strong pro hero. If anything it takes away from his arc since it delays his confrontation with Toya. I would probably like this moment a lot more if he was fighting Toya and it culminated in him talking to him (or something of that nature), but as it stands, it really reinforces how little of an impact Enji has made as a character. The only thing that I really like about this scene is how sinister AFO is. I do like that Enji admits that he hates himself, but like most of his arc, it feels less genuine, and more like self-pity in hindsight.
The thing is, it was made pretty clear, that no matter how powerful Endevour gets, he can NEVER surpass Allmight because Endevour never really was a hero. He had a job called “hero”, but he himself was a terrible person and did it for selfish reasons.
The fact also remains that Shoto was ultimately saved by his idolisation of Allmight and because of Dekus support.
It’s only now that he realises this and ironically because of this realisation he is able to surpass his own limitations and be a true hero.
And that’s a reoccurring theme in the show: All the quirk awakings (even those of the villains) happened, when the goal of the person was no longer selfish and evolved into something on a greater scale.
We have seen it with Bakugou, changing his motto from “the best heros always win” to “those who save others are the ones who always win” (cluster manifested) and even Shiggy only got his boost when he decided to “save“ society from the quirk regulations and liberate himself and his comrades.
Selflessly trying to save someone, despite political views, race or agenda, is what makes a hero in MHA.
Meddling when you don’t need to is the essence of being a hero.

While I totally understand not liking powerscaling I personally enjoy doing it so i was surprised with how many statements they had of Endeavor that he's practically almost as Powerful as Prime All Might Tbh

and his "awakened" or whatever you want to call him being enhanced and at Full Power against Endeavor being able to literally burn afo's hand to the point its breaking apart in a single strike with his newly acquired Eye Beams
if we had to go with Scaling wise Endeavor is literally only behind Prime Might Prime AFO Current Afo (Current being stated to be stronger than ever making his Teenage Self>Prime cuz of rewind allowing him the full potential of every quirk) and Shigaraki
Deku is arguably above him but given just how badly he whooped Afo its not a for sure thing well just have to see with how the Dabi and Shigaraki fights go

Calm your complaining. Endeavor is fighting Toya right now in the manga. The reason they threw him at AFO is because from a logical stance, he is the strongest non-OFA user who could fight AFO
@@tatersalad76 His confrontation with Toya has been pretty lackluster so far unfortunately. Funnily enough the story makes an effort to say he can't do more because of his injuries, so that's even more of a reason for me to dislike this moment.
As for him being the strongest non-OFA user, I don't really think that matters since this is still a pretty nothing-edition to his arc. It makes sense why he's assigned to fight AFO in-universe, but the trade-off is that his arc kind of sucks now, so I'd much rather have the alternative.

(Hiren if Jiren was actually a well written character but instead of being evil he’s good)
I still believe that Endeavor does not deserve the title number 1 hero and symbol of peace in Japan like All Might used to be because it's still all his fault that touya became a killer arsonist after he traumatized his whole family especially his own wife making her end up in a mental hospital and with him literally putting his whole family in danger by getting them close to the battlefield where touya is literally on a supernova heatbomb timer now. Seriously why did todoroki forgive him??? Hell zuko didn't forgive his father ozai so why should him??? There is a thing that's called bring too nice and it keeps proving that endeavor deserved everything that's coming to him like how he lost a limb going against Touya.

@@invictus6176 I think the main issue is that Enji’s arc has been more about proving himself as a strong hero while it set itself up to be about becoming a better person beyond hero work, which has been done pretty flimsily. I’m personally not inherently upset about his arc, I’m just disappointed that it ended up paying off so badly.

Well not really he managed to one time outplay AFO who had a plan b if he ever lost so he wasn't in ´trouble and prime all might and grand torino vs without any injuries AFO caused major wounds to both sides which made both alot weaker and he barely managed to one time beat AFO plan a on their ambush with his plan b completely wrecking everything they had heck with one simple attack he oneshotted passion fulled gigantomachia and prime all might that would be normal. So endeavor never surpassed all might. Seeing how easily AFO getting his majors injuries which prevented his body working properly made hawks and endeavor lose their shit they might have being tired but that wouldn't limit their powers as much as AFO and allmightys injuries which destroyed AFO empires originally. Also hawks saying endeavor defeated AFO is just stupid they didn't take him down as he was prepared. Heck new chapters shows endeavor can't even beat 1v1 dabi who has worse injuries and dabi is nowere near gigantomachia who got oneshotted by subbar AFO with shit ton other top ten heroes.

The kids weren’t abused at ALL training was just extreme like he was really hard on them after Toya died ofc he’s gonna turn cruel asf u have to deal with the fact your son burnt to death. And about that his mother tried to stop him and he literally told his mother in the dub I think “did u get that out of a self help book or something” he started hoein his own mama. And then when Toya went to the mountain to train against what EVERYONE TOLD HIM. he died n it’s somehow endeavors fault who was at work😐.
