Listen to way, way more Flatbush. These guys are seriously some of my favorite dudes. Genuine. No label. All work! Better off Dead is a phenomenal album, guys.
Strait up flatbush is real as hell, and they have dropped nothing but bangers, check out some of their earlier stuff to reallly get a feel for these dudes.
MORE FLATBUSH RECOMMENDATIONS: - Bounce - Facts (ft. Jadakiss) - Palm trees - MRAZ Another Note: Erick (the guy on the 1st verse) produces 98% of all their beats. Great reaction guys!
smokedoubt it takes some getting used to. I can understand why casual fans would find it difficult to hear and digest some of the more lyrical rappers.
YES YES YES IVE BEEN WAITING SO LONG FOR THIS. Much love from australia guys. This is probably my fav track from them but their tracks ‘Bliss’ and ‘Amerikkkan Pie’ are also amazing tracks.
Man everybody's gunna have to find something else to request now! Lol. They've got a pretty fire freestyle y'all should check out. My favorite part about them though is they they look like their voices switched bodies.
You entertained me, you captivated me and most of all you educated me. I' have watched this reaction like a checklist for the benefit of my own hip-hop knowlege and its been amazing, sick video well done! subbed.
The creativity in the lyrics is crazy you can tell they studied the craft cuz you gotta know the history or rap to even remember some of these titles from legends and OGs of the rap game. Flatbush had a couple hits wayback when they were really out there with ASAP Mob but its refreshing to hear some new joints. Big ups for the dope reaction Lost In Vegas !!
This is probably the only reaction to this song where they catch almost all references and it's probably the only reaction I revisit whenever I remember the song.
Clockwork indigo - butterfly effect, it's a collaboration between east coast rappers like Flatbush Zombies, and the Underachievers. The lyricism is amazing. Also listen to Flatbush's projects as a whole, like better off dead and the Odyssey
That was a bunch of fun to listen. And jewice has gotten a lot better since clockwork dropped. Just Issa and AK have a different flow then FBZ so even though I love to listen to them individually. It’s hard when the song transitions from meech, to AK, to Erick, to Issa then jewice. It just doesn’t feel like a FBZ or UA song sounds even though the bars are fucking amazing
As an almost 40 white chick from the sticks, NOTHING about this would've made sense to me without your breakdown of the lyrics. This was pretty cool! It also makes me feel SUPER old that the hip hop I listened to when I was younger is now considered CLASSIC. What? Haha! Very cool though! Another great reaction guys!
A Cb105 I don’t think being white has anything to do with it. It’s all about where you’re raised. My wife is 40 (and white), and understands hip hop perfectly. She grew up in the Bronx though.
I enjoyed this song because I understood most of what they were saying, but it has to be said that my gf actually enjoyed it too, even though she's not into rap and hip-hop, LIKE THAT. They did such a good job at putting this song together, honestly. Amazing work
12:42 I actually disagree with Ryan when he says that they went back and did their research. Flatbush Zombies genuinely grew up listening to all of that great hip-hop so it was mainly their primary influences that they were touching on so getting the names of albums and tracks probably didn't require research but rather from their head due to growing up with them.
It wasn't that literal. He wasn't saying that they didn't experience it and had to basically 'wiki' it to fake it. And if YOU took it that literally, you probably think they remembered every album off the top of their heads or didn't use them to reference when they were writing lol
Vacation is probably my favorite off that album by them, it’d be funny to see you guys review that video. This song reminds me of Fame by GZA, probably heard it but it’d be cool to see a review of that one. He uses famous names instead of songs/albums. Great review as always. 👍🏻
whoo, goddamn, this was a super fun video to watch because of you guys. your obvious love of old school hip-hop was infectious. I'd love to see like a top 10 albums by you guys, or like a year-by-year break down (or decade breakdown). Just something where you guys talk about your roots of hip-hop and you playing some of your favorite things.
Damn you guys are like musical dictionaries for hip hop! Really opened my eyes on this song. I've been listening to it since the album came out and you guys really broke it down for me! I gotta do my research!
Fun fact: the Jesus walks "sample" in the background is actually Meechy Darko, the last dude with the raspy voice doing that with his voice. You guys should check out "U&I" for the next Flatbush Zombies song. They snap on that one
One of my fave albums this year. I would say check out facts, HELL-O. palm trees is a classic one from one of their mixtapes better off dead. Y’all have a lot of catching up to do 😅 definitely worth the journey.
Nice! The requests for these guys were piling up. It'd be cool to make a playlist from all the references in this song. Rock on LiV! The Streets - Has it come to this
Check out their song, Glorious Thugs!! Bars for days, literally could pick anything from their discography and it’d still be fire though. Glad you guys loved headstone
this my 10th time watching this omg, i keep coming back for flatbush after their project with beast coast love ur reaction 🙏🙏🙏 pls react to beast coast!! (basement cypher and the album)
What if Headstone has multiple meanings? For example, what if another meaning is actually referring to Capstone, which is what you work on in college to show an example of the culmination of all you've learned since you started school? So this song, exemplifying the history of rap and hip hop shows what they've personally learned from it along with all their hard work and creativity. Cap, another word for hat, which you wear on your head, headstone. Idk, just food for thought. Also, check out Palm Trees by Flatbush Zombies.
Some more Flatbush for you guys: Their freestyle on Flex, MRAZ, Palm Trees, Bounce, Lava (this one is a solo song by Juice), Bliss, Thug Waffle, Vacation
Honestly, Don't worry about what Artists you guys are reviewing, I love every video, no matter what you're checking out, you guys always seem to give the most honest, educated view on anything someone is dishing.
Alright, if you guys reviewed this song then I'm requesting if you guys can please review Flatbush Zombies - U&I. Has a dope singing intro, the beat reminds me of something Kanye would do and the lyrics are hard. Please pretty PLEASE do a review on this some. You guys won't be disappointed!!
I’m waiting for a bus at the airport to go to boot camp in a couple hours and this is just what I needed. Thanks guys I watch all your vids, hopefully when I get back in 8 weeks you’ll have more Flatbush/ mick Jenkins/ earl type people
Please react to Bounce by Flatbush. Meechy's personality is so strong in it and you really get to hear the best of each member. Zombie Juice's flow is amazing in it too. Would be a great reaction!
As a metalhead that listens to very little hip hop, I found your channel because TH-cam threw a metal reaction video from you guys up on my recommendations. Watched it and you guys are now one of my favorite channels. But, I do really like Flatbush Zombies and I've actually been discovering some really good hip hop thanks to your videos. Keep up the great work and thanks for having an open mind for all kinds of music! The world needs less snobs and elitists.
Thank you guys so much for reaction to Flatbush please react to more so I get to see my favorite youtubers and my favorite rappers but keep doing yo thing guys.
Flatbush are 1 of my fave groups of today easy, this is 1 of the best tributes to classic hip hop without sounding corny and still soundin unique and havin their own style! u guys should review G Tearz, MRAZ, RIPCD, Palm Trees, Death, Death 2.. I think u guys would like a lot of their stuff.. they master the psychedelic stream of consciousness sound with still sounding catchy & fresh
I’m hoping you try Death Grips eventually. Might seem a little left field at first but it’s like the most abrasive and chaotic delivery I’ve ever heard in rap. “Takyon” started it all for me
have listened to this song almost daily since it came out. was an absolute joy to watch y'all's reaction to the literally infinite references on this :)
Album of the year without doubt and i say that as a huge J Cole and Logic fan. Flatbush never fail to disappoint and are so versatile. It helps that they are all lyrically on point.
Holy shit you guys just killed it with those references, just brought a whole new perspective on the song for me. Cant wait to watch you react to more FBZ
Headstone is off their newest album Vacation In Hell, which is good, but Better Off Dead is the tape where these guys really snapped. I would recommend doing the song AmeriKKKan Pie from it.
Yasss you guys finally did my faves. Been a Flatbush Zombies fan for a loong time. Ya'll should check out this whole album. 🖤They're really reppin NY to the fullest🗽
OMG OMG YAS FINALLY THANK YOU SM haven’t even watched it yet but I already know it’s gonna be so good ahhh have wanted you guys to react to flatbush Zombies for so longgggg
I truly love your show and have mad respect in your truly unbiased approach to all genres of music. I'm a 55 year old lover of music everything from Marvin Gaye Isley Brothers Tupac and Creed. Growing up in the D and being raised on Motown to us music never had a color like you always say a good song is a good song so you both are true pioneers and what you're doing and this vet salute you both. I have a couple nuggets that you probably don't get a lot of request about but watching your responses to many songs and videos may I please suggest one that I'm sure you'll enjoy it's by Gamma and it's called Voyager and if you haven't already heard pound cake by Van Halen that's another one to get you up out of your seat take care and looking forward to your videos in the future.
Peace! Super dope one yall! I hadn't heard any of these guys material til just now, so I'll definitely be checkin more of their stuff out. Gracias! AZ was definitely one of the most underrated emcees from the 90's (aside form Black Thought of course). I wanted to throw some names out there, not necessarily for yall to do a reaction to but to bring attention to some emcees in the 'underground' Hip Hop movement at the moment. Not sure if you guys are up on that but there is a strong re-emergence of some heavy East Coast street shit out for the past 4 years or so and since George is a heavy Mobb Deep 'Infamous' fan, yall will probably dig the scene. Some emcees to look out for: Westside Gunn, Conway the Machine, Crimeapple, Recognize Ali, Eto, Estee Nack, Al Divino, Danielson, Che Uno, Benny the Butcher, AnhkleJohn, Codenine, Primo Profit, etc. The wave is pretty strong and growin heavy still. If you were to do any reactions, Conway the Machine (The Cow, Empire, Ray Mysterio) are some joints to peep. Lovin the videos, familia! Much love to both of you! Blessings ...
Liking your REACTION to this group-there is a lot to their music...stuffed with references I have no connection with- thanx for exposing me** #freethinkers Ryan & George UNBIASED EVAL!
BY FAAAR MY FAVORITE REACTION! Although I’m still 18 I was able to catch a good amount of the references and it was fun to watch y’all dissect the ones I didn’t catch.
More Flatbush Zombies please! For all the reasons you stated and more you are sure to love their entire catalog. I suggest The Glory, Bounce, New Phone Who Dis and This Is It
PLEASE react to the songs on the “Beast Coast” album where Flatbush and other New York artists have a “Dreamville” like album!!!!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I'm going to have to say, based of previous logic tracks you've done; war vet and and growing pains, the first one, I'd love to hear your thoughts. Keep them coming guys!

Flatbush fam❤️
Fbz UA and PE,best of our generation and most slept on
Fun fact: Erick the architect (second verse) produces every beat for the group. Man is a genius. He’s also an artist
Yes Erick is awesome
Almost, in an interview he said he produced all except 2 songs on ViH. Still incredible
@@nickstaudinger440 He basically produced all their older shit, which in my opinion, is way more fire than their new stuff
Erick is a beat master
CHECK ERICK OUT ON TWITCH
The best part is they didnt even do research for this song, this the shit they grew up listening to
It takes everyone this long to finally recognize flatbush .... smh
Shut up hipster
evan grasseschi agreed! Been on my playlist. This song hit me cause they mentioned literally all my fav tracks, albums groups growing up. So dope
evan grasseschi man it feels good tho. They getting recognized
Just be happy people are discovering the music
Im late but Im a fan for life
MORE FLATBUSH RECOMMENDATIONS:
- Bounce
- Facts (ft. Jadakiss)
- Palm trees

Another Note: Erick (the guy on the 1st verse) produces 98% of all their beats. Great reaction guys!
X Isaac X agreed !!!
2 verse*.
Zach Hill its intro (juice), then hook (meech), then 1st verse (Erick). Juice takes 2nd verse :)
You recommended the perfect songs man, I like it.

That collab with Portugal the Man would be so dope and stuff.
Definitely do UA!
I can't wait until they do.
Crescendo would be a great track to start with
Yes!!!!! Underachievers 100% !! Lol someone said wtf marry me ahaha
Finally someone who catches all the references! sick reaction guys
I like watching your reactions to Hip Hop songs because without you guys explaining things a lot of stuff would go right over my head.
Tyler Miller just take the time to understand the bars, read them or something
smokedoubt it takes some getting used to. I can understand why casual fans would find it difficult to hear and digest some of the more lyrical rappers.
how did u reply 2 weeks ago >:(
Lol bruh if you didn't know this was about classic music I feel sorry for you
SuperBlueboy2010 patrons prob
R.I.P.C.D is a great song by them, the 3 are rapping like crazy here with a lot of slick lines
Junior Brollo there is definitely a lot of other songs way better than that
Nuclears TM lmao deadass
Name them I want to see what you think is better because the case of a song being better is purely subjective. I wanna get an idea what you prefer.
Love that song
bro i swear meech doesn't even take a breath in that r.i.p.c.d verse
YES YES YES IVE BEEN WAITING SO LONG FOR THIS. Much love from australia guys. This is probably my fav track from them but their tracks ‘Bliss’ and ‘Amerikkkan Pie’ are also amazing tracks.

MeloMash absolutely the whole album is great.
Try Underachievers, they're friends with Flatbush zombies and are really unique as well
The Underachievers - Herb Shuttles
Indigoism is sick
gold soul theory is also a good one
The mahdi would be dope too
Generation Z is the shit
Idigoism is hella tight, hope they're ready!

Clockwork indigo - butterfly effect, it's a collaboration between east coast rappers like Flatbush Zombies, and the Underachievers. The lyricism is amazing. Also listen to Flatbush's projects as a whole, like better off dead and the Odyssey
Chris Kontoulis it's my least favorite project by them
Which project?
Chris Kontoulis clockwork indigo
its definitely not their best overall project but there's definitely some gems in there like butterfly effect.
That was a bunch of fun to listen. And jewice has gotten a lot better since clockwork dropped. Just Issa and AK have a different flow then FBZ so even though I love to listen to them individually. It also makes me feel SUPER old that the hip hop I listened to when I was younger is now considered CLASSIC. What? Haha! Very cool though! Another great reaction guys!
A Cb105 how is this comment 2 weeks old when this is a new video?
Darrick Franklin the video was released early for patreon supporters
generic soundcloud rapper oh okay cool
A Cb105 I don’t think being white has anything to do with it. It’s all about where you’re raised. My wife is 40 (and white), and understands hip hop perfectly. She grew up in the Bronx though.
Do more Flatbush please. I’m telling you guys, you will appreciate these guys
Do U&I by Flatbush zombies. They went hard on that
Almighty Phantom man I wish more people would request this one. Meechy spits straight fire on that one
