I was one of them lol it took me so long to grow out of it. I realised I didn’t hate feminine coded things I just hated that those things made people think I was a girl
I saw this exihibition with the clothes from SA-Victims. Most of them were everyday clothes. What left me in tears was a wedding gown and a floral dress of a 4 year old girl. I read your answers. So many victims! I am deeply sorry, what happend to you. Schools have to stopp teaching girls to cover up. Instead they have to teach to respect bounderies. That goes both ways. Do not forget: Boys and men also can be victims!! VICTIM.SHAMING.IS.THE.WORST.
I've heard of it. It brings me to tears knowing that you could drag someone who uses the opportunity to stomp down on those who have been victimized by going on entirely preformative "moral" crusades and condemnations about manner of dress, or "provocative" conversation, or any number of convoluted arcane "signals" that have to be interpreted in very specific logic defying ways where doing the opposite also signals the same thing premeditated predators take as an "invitation" mid-self-serving-sermon and force them to explain what was wrong with each one and they'd be back to their preaching as soon as they felt properly avenged against how their rights were violated by being forced to be in an uncomfortable situation they were prevented from escaping.
"she was dresssing up for tips so she probably wanted to be SA'ed" is probably one of he most stupid thing one could say as the actual reason she is dressing up IS LITERALLY IN THE BEGGINING OF THE SENTENCE
Yeah that's crazy. She thinks she was secretly lying about doing it for tips, but like why would anyone ever lie about that? Yeah I wear this tight shirt because I make 50% more in tips a night if I do. Not that I secretly want to get assaulted WTF??
A lot of these girls really confuse me especially those who dislike feminism. 'I want to be a stay at home mum' BRILLIANT! I love that for you.!! 'I'm not a feminist' Feminism just means that you have the opportunity to make that choice and have support in whatever you decide. So I just don't understand why women dislike or even hate feminism.
It's a SUPER weird misconception. Feminism isn't telling you that you HAVE to be something. It says that you have the OPTION and can decide for yourself what you want to be/do.
Because they don’t understand that feminism was literally a fight against commercialized sex slavery for women. People don’t realize that women back then were literally a _type_ of slave. Their labor was that of a nanny, a maid, and a sex slave, their owners their fathers and husbands. Do you know why feminism finally picked up in America after segregation? It’s because black men gained voting rights before white women did. Slavery was obviously much worse for black people in America (because America was the first to treat black slaves as non-human) but if you look at how women and slightly more favored slaves were treated, it’s not at all that different.
“Agreed, this is 100% true, I’m not like other living entities because the human beings in this world are such interesting creatures, they all are wacky and crazy and funny in their own original ways, and we cartoons, a specific demographic in their species are practically the same and equally as cool! "being a stray at home Mom isn't so hard!" Life is relative. SAHP is a dream for some people and a miserable hellscape for others, but it's never easy. Spend three hours with a five year old who keeps changing the rules to go fish because they don't want to lose and see if you maintain your sense of child-like wonder. Spend five hours in meetings where you're constantly talked over and every idea you have is ignored until a man repeats it and see if you dream of sitting on the couch with a baby spitting up on you. At least that can't be done over email, amirite?
@@eaweareeacosa1878 TBH I think that is a substantial portion of why people romanticize the "tradwife" life. (At least the ones that genuinely do and aren't just making fetish content pandering to weird dudes.) They see it as an escape from capitalism, as though going back in time on women's rights would somehow magically give men enough money that the majority could support a housewife.
Wearing crocs around a horse is insanely stupid. I used to do some horseback riding myself as a kid. As part of that I also had to take proper care of the horse. I was wearing proper boots. Got a bit to close to the horse. Dude stepped on my foot. Not even like fully stepped on it, he gently put his hoof on my foot but when he realized he wasn't standing on the ground, he was standing on me, he immediately stepped back. He only put half his weight on it I guess because otherwise, my foot would have been broken for sure. Only hurt for a few days tho. Lucky me. Wear proper shoes around animals that potentially can crush your bones to a fine dust by stepping on your foot accidentally.
I didn't have boots but was fortunately wearing hard leather shoes when a horse shifted slightly when I was standing beside him grooming him while visiting friends. The soft ground also helped so I didn't have any injury but it is exciting trying to get a big animal to shift over a bit when they don't even realize they are stepping on you.
My partner and I had made friends with a married couple (man & woman) who are heavily into the tattoo scene. They were both tattooed all over, and most of the work was beautifully done. They asked us if we wanted to meet them at a local convention they were attending. I was fine until we realized it was a tattoo convention. I had horrible needle phobia then, too, and was a bit stressed out, but it was okay. Much of it was fascinating, the art was beautiful, and the technology of tattoo equipment was very engaging. Until I walked past a man tattooing another man's shoulder as I went by, I was looking right at them when the artist put down his tattoo gun and wiped the man's shoulder with a clean, white cloth. It came away red. My vision turned gray, then black, as I fainted on the spot. I have no aversion to blood. I thought I was handling the tattooing, but I was wrong. The stress from the needle phobia was just hiding, waiting for the stimulus that would break it free. The wiping blood off the shoulder was the proverbial straw breaking the camel's back, and it all cascaded down. I was fine a few minutes later. It turned out the convention had staff medics, who wandered the show floor, armed with first-aid kits, water, and ice packs. Sometimes they helped people getting tattoos, but the much larger number were attendees who didn't realize they were getting squicked out until they fainted. I wasn't the only one. I wasn't the only one _that hour._
3:41 I'd freak out over both 1. Breaking a nail hurts, and if it's a glue on, now you have to find the nail and then find glue to put it back on 2. If that wasn't a cheap knife... In my experience, unconditional love can exist only for pets. My cat could be an absolute asshole, a bully or a murderer and I'd still die for it. Hell, my cat could be the boss of the street cats mafia and I'd still love it.
I have two cats. They can and do create absolute mayhem around the house and we just accept it. But if one of them started abusing the other, that would be a boundary - not to stop loving them, but to separate them. Fortunately as a bonded pair, they adore each other. I reckon the same applies to my children. If one of my kids ever brings home a dead body, I'll help them dispose of it, and if they want to tell me what happened, they'll do that when they're ready. But if one of my kids was abusing me or anyone else under my protection - which includes our cats and other non-human dependents - then yeah, that's a boundary. I'd still love them, but that behaviour would have to stop.
My cat abuses and gaslights me (sneakily hits me as I walk by, then acts like he didn't do anything), interrupts me trying to do anything productive, bites me for petting him TOO GOOD and constantly victimizes himself by standing right behind my legs any time he knows I'll have to back up/ turn around (like standing at a counter, looking in a closet, making my bed) so he has an excuse to hit me. I can't leave though. My CDs are still in his car.
For the construction supervisor post: isn't wearing tight clothes on construction sites or around heavy machinery safer than wearing baggy clothing bc it's one less thing to get caught up in gears or on materials? That's why I'm supposed to do it when i work in a chemical lab, same with putting up my hair
4:50 The best part is that if I remember correctly, the “You’ve met with a terrible fate, haven’t you?” Isn’t even an originally BEN DROWNED line, it was said by the Happy Mask Salesmen from Majora’s Mask. However, I don’t have the game, or even the right console, I’ve just seen play throughs, so that may be wrong. 37:43 I thought it said 39 cats instead of 390 calories. Honestly, if I had the money, the time, and the means to, I’d happily own 39 cats, but it would be impossible to please them all.
It is, it's literally the first things the Happy Mask Salesmen says to you in Majoras Mask. (Probably why the creepypasta used it, it was a very ominous greeting)
These videos always hit me man. I used to be of the "not like other girls crowd!!" And looking back i do cringe at it, but also, that poor girl was hurting because she didnt understand why she felt wrong. Im glad to say now I'm doing better, I've realized things about myself that explain my feelings, and i hope these girls who say stuff like this find solidarity and solace in other things rather then bringing others down //Edit: spelling!
I think the difference was that, some of these girls are agreeing with political figures that wants to restrict a woman's body. They should be hated for it and shamed because they're supporting horrible men. But like if we're talking about the "I'm so better than her" type of pick me? I guess they're harmless, but at the end of the day, it's still wrong to create a stereotype of other women just so you can feel different from them. But the political type of pick me is much worse than the normal pick me in my opinion.
37:40 That looks like a girl who's been yelled at one too many times for her life choices and started lashing out at anyone she perceives as judging her. Its awful when people get to that point of "Must protect self. Everyone threat. ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK." After being attacked by too many people.
DO NOT WEAR STEEL-TOED BOOTS AROUND HORSES!!! They can stomp the toe around your foot and amputate your toes. Just wear normal riding boots, which have a space in the front so your feet can slide backwards. Src: taught horseback riding for 5 years
My film professor always wore steel-toed boots in both the classroom and on film sets, so they got really smelly. I can’t imagine how fetid they would get being worn in a barn!
There's actually a myths busters episode on the whole losing your toes in steel toe capped boots thing and the conclusion was if it was bad enough for you to lose your toes with them on your whole foot would probably be left the consistency of toothpaste without them. Good quality steel toes consistently protected from all tested methods of damage. Can't say exactly for horses but they did put the boots in a hydraulic press and drop significant weights on them and compared it with regular boots. The regular boots were mush, the steel toes, while you'd probably have some bad broosing would otherwise be fine.
Lol. That post went around a lot in 2010-2014 with a bunch of preteens on fanfic websites and tumblr. It was a bunch of people who could not spell for their life and would go in group chars to just make the characters smooch. It definitely wasn't a good post to share, but it was mostly kids with lacking social lives irl. 🤷

37:33 I used to judge the hell out of people who liked $8 coffee that's mostly milk and flavored syrup I assumed they didn't like the taste of coffee and were trying to mask it which seemed stupid while I love black coffee no sugar... Until I discovered Turkish coffee. The process of brewing it followed by that delicious cup of hot goodness is therapeutic for me... Then I found a different brand that sold some of its coffee with cardamom.. Then I tried adding sugar... Then cinnamon and you know where I'm going with this I didn't gatekeep coffee but I was sure some people had no taste buds even while aware everyone being different but I guess we aren't really all that different Thank you for coming to my Tedtalk
I'm glad you got over that. Btw, whenever someone says something along the lines of "people don't like something unless they eat it straight!" It makes me imagine them sitting on the couch with a spoon and a bowl of salt.
@SpaceBearEngineer I'm not proud of it but as a kid I used to get in trouble for stealing the salt to eat it straight like not a bowl but yes in spoonfuls.... I'm also over that I swear.. but maybe your "theory" is not that far off
So far as I can tell, the whole "black coffee" thing pretty much boils down to how much people can tolerate bitter flavors. Even the best brewed black coffees have vastly more bitter notes than coffee with cream or sugar, and for those who are extremely sensitive to that kind of thing, masking it can do absolute wonders. The same thing goes for chocolate/cocoa, especially at 70% or higher, and some people who like high-cocoa bars don't like black coffee. That's what makes it so funny (in a dark way) whenever I think about this internet argument...
13:49 "But I'm one of the good ones! I can be kept as a pet!" That's such a good reversal honestly and a great example of how being a pickme doesn't grant as much privilege as pickmes think, cause they're encouraging and reinforcing exactly the system that oppresses them _in their own circle_ and won't really be treated as equals for being "different" (even if some of the people they're trying to appeal to may encourage them that they are different and special, the scapegoating of people like them and them by extension will affect them.
I’m not like the other girls. I’m very neurodivergent, don’t have good social skills, and i’m still trying to figure out who i am. But i wouldn’t change the other girls for the world, because they still make an effort to include me and make me feel wanted
This reminded me of this little joke my friend group has; We have this small group of people where most of us are gender queer. A lot of times if one of us starts explaining about some weird situation we were in or if one of us does something differently than others etc, they'll imidietly go: "I am not like OTHER GIRLS, I am not even a girl!" It's great fun, can recomend 😁
Towards the end was one that made me think some people need a refresher: "a part" and "apart" aren't synonyms. In fact, they're antonyms. To be a part of something, you are with it, part of the whole. If you are apart from something, you are separated from it, not with it at all. I know this stems from the same place that causes people to spell "a lot" as "alot" (or "allot" if they go by their spellcheck, even though it's doesn't mean the same thing), so it's not likely to go away anytime soon, especially since so many people don't know if it's "your" or "you're", or the like. Just wanted to get this off my chest though, as sometimes I feel I've done my English degree a disservice by not mentioning such things, despite it being nowhere near the most egregious thing people featured in this video have done.
20:12 the friend was jealous that OP looked hot and was trying to embarrass her on purpose. I would bet she was waiting for a chance to wipe the sauce off the friend's face. Which is only something that someone does if they're super close to someone. It was weird.
I dread how that pick me mom at the beginning is going to raise that boy. Her daughters seem to have turned out okay, and I hope they'll be a bigger and better influence on him than the mom is.
I know! Right? The post where the girl mentioned her mom was a pick me was eye opening-- my mom was a pick me and said all of these toxic things. My sister and I absolutely do not get along with our mom (I went no contact) and our brother ended up becoming an absolute garbage human being. He's lazy and always looking for a girl friend to mooch off of and doesn't bother working himself.
Yeah, I think it comes from the fact that we are given the image in media etc that girls like pink and want babies and only think/talk of boys/clothes/make-up, but this trope isn't that frequent in real life. Most of us talk to other people and realize they're also 3 dimensional. The people who carry it longer in life just probs never make friends. And I would venture that there's an overlap with the political aspect because both growing out of that phase and accepting others imply empathizing with people they've decided are not like them.
@ that’s true :) I also think some of the media of the 2000s and 2010s did a push to showcase those girls that aren’t like other girls and kinda pin them against each other like sharpay vs Gabriella where yes sharpay had dimension she was also very much a stereotype - where you get to see Gabriella from way more dimension. (Ofc they touch many subjects but that’s one I remember seeing in many movies growing up) the brunette loser vs blond popular girl yk. But I do think it’s a part of growing up going through that phase of realising others aren’t npcs in your life they’re just as fully ‘fleshed’ out as you And I think you’re right with those who might not grow out of it

With the “Being a SAHM isn’t that hard!” person, soooo much of it depends on the individual kids and parents and how the strengths and weaknesses line up. An extroverted parent with a chill kid who doesn’t have sleep issues is going to have a wildly different experience than an introvert with a baby who has colic, for example.
Exactly! I was a stay-at-home mama. I wouldn't say it's the hardest thing in the world, but it certainly wasn't easy! *My only regret is that their dad is not a good coparent.
I was a single dad for 3 years. Half of it was SAH, and the other half I worked construction. Worst 3 years of my life. I didn't have any support, and there weren't any services I could turn to for help. As you said, it's very much just based on the parent, the child, and the circumstances as to how difficult it is.
Yep, like way too many parents seem to think "my kid is good at/can do X" means "any parent whose kid isn't good at/can't do X is a failure of a parent". Like no, just no.
30:38 I am a woman that has also worked in construction as an electrical apprentice. Yes, I was the only woman in the group, but that had an entirely different outcome…coworkers were rude and spiteful towards women and, even if they did not attempt to harass me specifically, they talked horribly about modern women (“they don’t know how to serve their husbands”) IN FRONT OF ME. My father worked with me. He fed into their discussion. I haven’t looked at him the same way since. Stop pitting women against women. Stop pitting HUMANS AGAINST HUMANS. This behavior disgusts me to a degree that makes me glad I left the full time apprenticeship.
''you've met with a terrible fate[,haven't you?]'' is from zelda majora's mask and is the most popular quote from it, small bit of trivia. That said, that person was cringe, dont take the name of my favorite game in vain, 'quirky girl' .
I really like what Jamie Dodger said about this whole trend. Yes, some of it is just internalised misogyny, and it deserves to be called out. But what if some people relate to this sentiment of distancing themselves from “other girls”, because… they aren’t really girls? Kinda realised that this is what’s been to teenage me (uncomfortable nb laugh)
And if society stopped pushing adolescent girls to all conform to a stereotype, the ones that actually aren't girls would be free to realise that without having to fight for their individuality too.
i felt this on a spiritual level lol my whole life i was kind of a forced "not like other girls", not because i acted like the girls in this video but because other kids (girls a bit more often than boys) always pushed me away cuz i was "different" turns out I'm enby and autistic 😭
I'm watching this while walking home in the rain. The moment Slenderman is mentioned, the street lamp I'm passing flickers and shuts off. What spooky timing
4:25 This just reminds me of that whole era of fanfics with "quirky" girls shipping themselves with Jeff, which was concerning enough that I read the story to see why it was so popular with these people and learned that the character is like 14 years old or something...
I mean personally 14 was the age when i liked creepypasta the most. And I feel like that's the age people usually get into it. I still like the characters, they're fun and cringey in a nostalgic way. I feel like writing a self insert fic is not that bad honestly, as long as you don't simp for real life killers. I've never personally been interested in that, but I am demiroace, so that's probbaly why.
I had a creepypasta phase when I was like 12 or 13, most kids of that age are super cringy I'll be honest. Personally i hated jeff but I've always knew that other fangirls weren't attracted to the actual image and story itself, but the art people made of an attractive alt guy, which wasn't a mainstream thing. I think it's important to understand that! young teens on the internet will always be into fanon-ized version of horror media, like how kids also like fnaf animatronics (even though theyre pieces of metal and corpses or something) but you can always draw them to be appealing, because it's fun. Then years later you'll grow up and realize a lot of the insane things like murder and serial killers are an actual thing, you become more critical of it, because you have a developed brain There's also creeps who are adults and like children though, yeah, but usually it's kids that like kids.
I'm a 50+ year old woman and I've NEVER thought about looking up any of the exes of any of the men I dated nor my husband. Why would I compare myself to someone he ISN'T in a relationship with anymore, especially if he DUMPED them? There's zero confidence in your own personality and looks if you're "stalking" their exes. They're the exes for a reason. I think the reason they're the exes is MORE important. I have an older sister who was always "looking for mr. right" with a whole laundry list of things she wanted him to be and to be for her. While I looked at each relationship, even a single date, as a learning experience of what I didn't want in a partner. I didn't think about how I'd "fix" him to fit my list. I wanted someone who made me happy just the way he was and who wanted me just the way I was (am). It's okay to change over time but you shouldn't expect people to change for you nor should you change everything about yourself to "please" others. You have to live with yourself and you shouldn't pretend to be something you're not. There's nothing wrong with changing IF you want to change but you shouldn't do it just because someone pressures you to do so. Be you and you'll find whomever you're meant to find. Or...worse come to worst...you end up alone but happy with who you are. My older sister always asked me if I was "lonely" before I had ever started datting as if the only thing in life was being in a relationship with a man. Again...her "knight in shining armor coming to save her". I told her that I couldn't "miss" something that I'd never experienced (I was 19) and she was surprised about how "profound" my statement was. There's a huge difference between being alone and being lonely. My sister often talked about a guy she went on one date with as "he's the one", especially if that guy had money. I often thought that she wasn't as "worldly" as she thought she was. It was annoying to hear about how great some guy was because he took her to a fancy restaurant and they had the s*x but then the same guy wouldn't call after even though she thought they'd really hit it off. I didn't know how to explain to my OLDER sister that he'd already gotten what he wanted from her. My sister's a beautiful woman and very extroverted but she was blind when it came to what men wanted from her. She had guys tripping over themselves to go out with her and sleep with her but she didn't have them tripping over her to be in their lives. She's a wonderful person but I have no idea how she acted on their dates to cause them not to ever call her again. When she saw my first boyfriend, she couldn't understand why someone as good looking as he was (he was a model) was with me. Yep...she literally said that. "Why's someone like him with you?" Ouch. She seemed shallow in that moment and I understood WHY none of the guys she dated wanted to stick around. In our old age...we've both settled down but she's been married and divorced and married again while I just went through my relationships learning from my experiences what I DIDN'T want in a relationship and what I didn't want my partner to be like (which is easier than..."he must fit this mold"). We've both been in these last relationships for a long time. Me over 22 years and hers right around 20 years. It's nice to know that she finally found her "knight" even though he didn't fit the mold that she'd made in her head of that "knight". Funny how life and love works itself out. If I hadn't have found my husband, I'd be just as happy by myself. Never forget that YOU need to feel happy with yourself first before you can feel happy with another. Sorry for the rambling. Love y'all. Blessed be from me and my witchy, Wiccan ways! Note: Sorry for the typos but I'm not going to reread and make corrections for my grammar and spelling! Thanks for reading and understanding.
Thank you for sharing your story, I'm still waiting until I meet the right person and observe other relationships to determine what I don't want. Your advice have been uplifting to read :)
Sometimes I feel upset that my language doesn't have a woman/female difference. That way I could weed out the sexists in a heartbeat and move on with my life
Oh my gosh, I need to say this, but I was a pick me girl before I transitioned! I literally just hung out with the dudes. When they said I wasn't allowed to due to religious reasons, I hung out with the girls, but they didn't like me. Now that I realized I am just antisocial and trans it makes so much sense.

26:24 “Hahaha my horse broke my toes” “Oh dang!” “And she weighs over 15,000 pounds” “1,500?” “Nope. Add another 0 to that” “There’s no way it could be that much”
28:30 Ah yes, the classic of calling the younger generation all "lazy" & "soft" because how dare they ever take a day off from work when they need it. Like sure try to avoid drinking too much when you go out but things happen & trying to force yourself to work when you don't feel good for whatever reason ends up with either makes your recovery take longer or you end up crashing later on when it catches up with you. The "my best friend is a cow" one whilst she's stood next to a horse reminds me of Mushu from Mulan when he says "Disgrace on your cow" whilst pointing to Mulan's horse 😂
I do believe in unconditional love, but it includes calling out loved ones on their bad behaviour like in the bitch sister story, and if necessarily, loving them from a loooong distance away. Note: not saying everyone should unconditionally love bad family members. Just that I do believe it's a thing.
If you love someone, you won't let them engage in toxic and abusive behaviour around you. That's like those "boymom" parents who let their kid be horrible and then wonder why their kid ends up in remand school. Unconditional love doesn't mean there are no boundaries - it just means you still love them while you maintain your boundaries.
People will legitimately get mad if you say you find parenting easy, or say you must be doing a crap job. Its nuts. I cant even blame that mom for feeling the need to say something.
Some people find parenting easy like some other people find training for a marathon easy. If you're doing the activity you most want to do in this world, it may be strenuous and demanding, but it won't feel like work. And that makes it feel easy.
@tealkerberus748 thats how i feel about it. I had fertility issues and miscarriages for almost 10 years trying for a baby. By the end i didnt think it was even possible for me. Now that i have my son theres nothing in the world id rather do than spend every minute of every day with him. Even when i was up every two hours breastfeeding from cracked bleeding nipples it never felt like work and i wouldnt have traded it for anything. But a parent who doesnt enjoy parenting hears you say that and "you must be doing a terrible job if you enjoy it" 🙄
People should just be able to have both opinions. Not everyone is meant to be parents and some are. This is why getting rid of reproductive rights is terrible for everyone, it’ll hurt the ones that want to have kids by not making it safe for them to conceive and terrible for people that really aren’t prepared for kids
3:18 Is... Is this whole post taken from like 2012?? No one is still talking about half of those Creepypastas in this year, are they??? I feel like I glanced into a window and I saw my life 12 years ago, and it is so cringe.
The only modern discussion of those stories I've seen are from CreepCast, a podcast by Wendigoon and Meat Canyon of them reading and discussing creepypastas.
6:39 my mother is in competition with me too and I honestly never understood that. Like, it took me a while to figure it out, and after I did, I couldn't accept it easily, especially since it hurt. So here are some things that made me realize this: - my mom rarely complimented me, in fact she insulted me more by calling me either fat, lazy, or insinuating that I'm not "good enough". But the thing is, my mom is exactly the person that she calls me: she is unhealthy, doesn't do any physical activity, and loves to complain about anything - she can't stand to look the same: she hated when I bleached my hair blonde, because she is a blonde. She of course complimented me when I dyed my hair reddish brown again. Same happened with hair length: she can't stand to have shorter hair than me, and insults me if I suggest that she should get a new haircut. - she can't stand the fact that I am in a happy and healthy marriage. She always said that my husband isn't good enough for me because he was poor, and now when he has a decent job, she says that I can get someone with even more money than him. My mother and father are in a toxic marriage, but she only sees flaws in other marriages.
2:08 this reminds me how alot of the human rights messages get willingly misinterpreted by thr ppl who fight against it or how wide encompassing these messages are. Like if you want your partner to chose what happens to your body? Well your body, your choice. Willingly giving up the choice is itself a choice.
This is true. And also, the essence of dom/sub dynamics. You can make that person the absolute emperor of your life .. but also if they start doing things or telling you to do things that make you feel uncomfortable, unhappy, or unsafe, you have the right to back out.
I don't get why you must post it for everyone to see that you're body is his 💀 nobody cares what you're into, I think it's cringe still if it's actually not about the message intended.
@@grrahstacky yeah... ppl who say stuff like that is just ugh. They just shut down all critical thought at anything remotely "woke" like... gasp human rights. And that person most certainly was NOT posting that cus of s kink BDSM thing. 4:40 Just in case ANYONE is wondering, probably not, but hey, I can give some Zelda-Trivia, so let me XD "You've met with a terrible fate, haven't you?" Is a quote from Majoras Mask, and a pretty memorable one, too. It's also the game the Ben Drowned Creepypasta is based on, which is probably one of the first cursed-videogame-from-yard-sale creepypasta out there, or at least the most known one, before it became a plot-hook for horror games nowadays XD
Granted not about girls, but about horses. My Great Uncle was unable to serve in WWII because when he was 13 his foot got crushed by a horse. I don't know what shoes he was wearing, just know they weren't crocs.
PSA: the "sober curious" movement is about approaching substance use with more nuance than an "abstainance only" way of thinking! There can be a lot of shame around struggles with addiction, and it's common for people to get stuck in a cycle of "I'm an addict, so I can't at all have this thing," to "I really want it, but I can't have it," to "okay, maybe I'll have a little," and then "well, if I'm screwing up anyway, I might as well binge," and around and around and around. Being sober curious comes more from the mindset of "I can drink if I want to, I just don't want to right now," which is a much gentler, more compassionate way of working with yourself around addiction.
3:50 nooooooooo, my dearest sweetest quirky girl XD, you missed the chance for a pun. "Normal girls wear bows, we shoot Bows!". I have never been more disappointed.
Oh yeah a horse once stepped on my toes in normal riding shoes. On accident. I swear he didn't notice, and seemed surprised when I was insisting of moving him xD They're so smart and so dumb at the same time I swear...
Most animals have a specific intelligence (I don't know if that's the actual term) which means they can be very smart at one or a few things, but only those things (which is different from humans, who have general intelligence and can be smart at a lot of different things.) So yeah, it's totally possible for animals to be smart and dumb at the same time!
I am not like other girls… I’m really tall and skinny, I have really big feet, I never wear anything girly like skirts or heels, I always have my hair up in a ponytail, While other girls drink and hang out with the boys, I like to stay at home and read books, I LOVE food, I HATE pumpkin spice lattes and have never had one before, In fact, I hate anything that has to do with pumpkins because one Halloween night, I got one thrown at me by a headless man riding a horse, which caused me to mysteriously vanish from society, You know what, I’m not even a girl, And I don’t even exist because, I am Ichabod Crane, the fictional protagonist of Washington Irving’s 1820 short horror story, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.
I wonder what people like her would say about the full body coverings, infant clothing, mens clothes, and loose fitting clothes (majority) in that museum. It doesn't matter what you wear, how old you are, what gender you are, nor where you are. If someone wants to SA you, they are going to SA you. Guy, gal, enby pal -- doesnt matter. Monsters walk among us and pretending its the fault of those attacked is beyond disgusting.
I think the difference of making friends as a kid vs making them as an adult is that as a kid, its more out of convenience. Your options are limited because the places you can go are limited. You are a kid though so you don't realize you're settling, at the time, for people who are the closest to being what you want in a friend in your local area. As an adult we can roam far and wide, join various hobby-based communities that weren't available in school (aka anything not sports or academics lol), just generally find people that better fit your vibe and sometimes that mean losing touch with the childhood/school friends that didn't quite fit the way you needed as you grew. Sometimes you are lucky to meet people in childhood that got you and grew with you and/or mutual hardships and joys bonded you together like family. Its the luck of the draw, mostly determined by WHERE you were born lol. Sometimes we just aren't born with hot singles (read as cool besties) available in our local area. Sometimes its just hot messties
I remember seeing multiple times a post that said that half of misoginistic comments are made by women. While I couldn't verify if this was true or not, with how these people act (wanting to be main characters and all) it wouldn't surprise me if it was indeed true...

A lot of these girls really confuse me especially those who dislike feminism.
'I want to be a stay at home mum'
BRILLIANT! I love that for you.!!
'I'm not a feminist'
Feminism just means that you have the opportunity to make that choice and have support in whatever you decide. So I just don't understand why women dislike or even hate feminism.
It's a SUPER weird misconception.
Feminism isn't telling you that you HAVE to be something. It says that you have the OPTION and can decide for yourself what you want to be/do.
Conspiracy theory: Those are created by angry men to make sure feminism is painted as evil so they can still date
The conversation ends fast when I'm told this
"-I'm anti feminist and I think (...)
-fine who allowed you to have an opinion and to share it tho"
Misunderstanding what feminism is?
Because they don’t understand that feminism was literally a fight against commercialized sex slavery for women.
People don’t realize that women back then were literally a _type_ of slave. Their labor was that of a nanny, a maid, and a sex slave, their owners their fathers and husbands.
Do you know why feminism finally picked up in America after segregation?
It’s because black men gained voting rights before white women did.
Slavery was obviously much worse for black people in America (because America was the first to treat black slaves as non-human) but if you look at how women and slightly more favored slaves were treated, it’s not at all that different.
I'm not like other girls because all humans are unique individuals, and there's no monolith of girlhood for me to quirkily defy.

If you’re around horses enough it will happen. 🙂↕️ I know that from experience 😂

I mean most animals are all of the first 3 you mentioned, and I still love them.
I think the difference was that, some of these girls are agreeing with political figures that wants to restrict a woman's body. They should be hated for it and shamed because they're supporting horrible men. But like if we're talking about the "I'm so better than her" type of pick me? I'm imagining it like one of those hydraulic press videos 😭
I dud this for years no problem now I'm scared lol. Tho I had a horse stand on my foot while wearing flip-flops that was fun

12:55 Unconditional love is A THING! But only for your kitties, puppies and other animals under your care... because humans are mostly trash. But most animals are the the kindest creatures you'll ever encounter.
I think I know exactly what exhibit you're talking about and I'm pretty sure one of the displays is just a diaper. It breaks my heart and makes me so upset when people blame the victims for how they were dressed
24:28 - 24:38 The irony in this
For the ones that don't know. Making all those side braids and with bows and everything take considerably more time each morning than a messybun which is the last picture. That means that people use FAR more messybuns than any of the previous hairstyles
that's what i was thinking. not that it even matters, but a clawclip hairstyle is wayyyyy more common
You do know you don't need to redo braids daily, right?
@@seigeengine it depends on the texture of the hair. Those pictures (unless I missed something) featured hair that seems similar to mine, which would not look nice the next day. My daughter, however, has the kind of hair that could hold it.
@@seigeengine the ones showed in the video do. I am as white as they come and my hair is while curly not afro. I do need to redo braids daily. I know that afro braids can sit in for ages but those kinds of braids would make my hair fall out
@@Forestnymph205 Nah, these braids too. The difference in hair texture has effects of course, but it's not to that point.
I would love to see a not like other girls post saying that “men make better friends then women because they don’t steal your man” get immediately clapped back by some girl saying “I stopped hanging out with my male best friend after he stole my boyfriend”
Right? I was thinking the same thing the whole time 🤣
24:08 I shut down a pick me in a similar situation once lol She was talking smack about my tequila rose drink because she was 'so used to drinking beer with the guys that fruity drinks seem silly' and the guys all agreed with her until i said "I think beer tastes like p!ss. If you guys wanna drink p!ss, all the power to ya. I don't k!nk shame." and every guy sitting at the table looked grossed out, she was ANNOYED at me the rest of the night. The next day she accused me of stopping her from getting laid because one of the guys didn't want to kiss her with 'beer breath' lmao
Then cinnamon and you know where I'm going with this
I didn't gatekeep coffee but I was sure some people had no taste buds even while aware everyone being different but I guess we aren't really all that different
Thank you for coming to my Tedtalk
That's what makes it so funny (in a dark way) whenever I think about this internet argument...
i still judge those people if they go to places like starbucks but it's cuz i dislike the place, not people's taste 😭

This reminded me of this little joke my friend group has;
We have this small group of people where most of us are gender queer. A lot of times if one of us starts explaining about some weird situation we were in or if one of us does something differently than others etc, they'll imidietly go:
"I am not like OTHER GIRLS, I am not even a girl!"
It's great fun, can recomend 😁
I had to laugh, because in my family, we say, "If you're always smelling shit, maybe that dark ring above your upper lip isn't a mustache."
20:12 the friend was jealous that OP looked hot and was trying to embarrass her on purpose. I would bet she was waiting for a chance to wipe the sauce off the friend's face. Which is only something that someone does if they're super close to someone. It was weird.
16:43 - Everybody gangsta until the cockroach starts flying.
Everybody gangsta until the roach climbs up their leg in the shower.
Everybody gangsta until the cockroach scampers over your fingers in the middle of the night
@@miranda1292 I'm so sorry you had to deal with that. I hope you know you deserve better. (And I'm a mom!)
8:18 alot of girls have a “not like other girls” phase but its sad when it doesnt end :/
But I do think it’s a part of growing up going through that phase of realising others aren’t npcs in your life they’re just as fully ‘fleshed’ out as you
And I think you’re right with those who might not grow out of it
It astounds me that in 2024 there are so many people that still just focus on looks and literally nothing else.
Here to spread some positivity!
It’s the last day of the show I’m in and it was a super fun show to do :D

6:18 That mom's mysogyny isn't just internalized, it's spewing out of every orifice.
Click videos used to be the best way to end the evening, now it's the best way to start the day (I moved from Sweden to America)
And if society stopped pushing adolescent girls to all conform to a stereotype, the ones that actually aren't girls would be free to realise that without having to fight for their individuality too.
i felt this on a spiritual level lol
my whole life i was kind of a forced "not like other girls", not because i acted like the girls in this video but because other kids (girls a bit more often than boys) always pushed me away cuz i was "different"

4:34 normal girls say cannibal, hazbin hotel fans say rosie or alastor
And Hannibal fans say **Hannibal.**
Then years later you'll grow up and realize a lot of the insane things like murder and serial killers are an actual thing, you become more critical of it, because you have a developed brain
There's also creeps who are adults and like children though, yeah, but usually it's kids that like kids.

Like sure try to avoid drinking too much when you go out but things happen & trying to force yourself to work when you don't feel good for whatever reason ends up with either makes your recovery take longer or you end up crashing later on when it catches up with you. It's better to just take the time off to fully recover. If your workplace gets upset with that, then that just shows you they don't really care about their employees & don't see them as people

I wonder how they even came across it 😭 maybe they are freshly discovering creepypaste this year or something lmao
So here are some things that made me realize this:
- my mom rarely complimented me, in fact she insulted me more by calling me either fat, lazy, or insinuating that I'm not "good enough". But the thing is, my mom is exactly the person that she calls me: she is unhealthy, doesn't do any physical activity, and loves to complain about anything
- she can't stand to look the same: she hated when I bleached my hair blonde, because she is a blonde.
"You've met with a terrible fate, haven't you?" Is a quote from Majoras Mask, and a pretty memorable one, too.
1:56 Ah yes. The 2004 version of ‘not like other girls’. Good job, Click. :)

Click is living in the year 2004, is all
3:50 nooooooooo, my dearest sweetest quirky girl XD, you missed the chance for a pun. "Normal girls wear bows, we shoot Bows!". I have never been more disappointed.
MY THOUGHT EXACTLY
Oh yeah a horse once stepped on my toes in normal riding shoes. On accident. I swear he didn't notice, and seemed surprised when I was insisting of moving him xD They're so smart and so dumb at the same time I swear...
Most animals have a specific intelligence (I don't know if that's the actual term) which means they can be very smart at one or a few things, but only those things (which is different from humans, who have general intelligence and can be smart at a lot of different things.)
So yeah, it's totally possible for animals to be smart and dumb at the same time!
I am not like other girls…
I’m really tall and skinny,
I have really big feet,
I never wear anything girly like skirts or heels,
I always have my hair up in a ponytail,
While other girls drink and hang out with the boys, I like to stay at home and read books,
I LOVE food,
I HATE pumpkin spice lattes and have never had one before,
In fact, I hate anything that has to do with pumpkins because one Halloween night, I got one thrown at me by a headless man riding a horse, which caused me to mysteriously vanish from society,
You know what, I’m not even a girl,
And I don’t even exist because,
I am Ichabod Crane, the fictional protagonist of Washington Irving’s 1820 short horror story, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.
Being a basic birch is fine, other trees don’t care if you like Taylor Swift or SOAD
Trees are chill like that. They don't judge you... mostly because they probably can't.
