Hello 👋. Yes it can be cook in the oven just brush the bread both side with some oil or butter , turning both side when the bread becomes brownish. (I believe 20 minutes cooking time ) . And yes in the pan, the meat will be cook , just cover it while frying for some time . Hope this helps ❤

Ive seen documentaries where the egyptians add an aged sliced cheese on the inside once cooked (not sure what kind) then you can dip in tahini.

It is not a must ..Egyptians almost edit and change their dishes every day .i mean ut literally..so there was for a while fashion got addinf cheese and it was added on almost every tbing
