@@G_Singh222 "So his critique is surface level"-no shock there. Performing stand-up comedy isn't exactly delivering a paper at an academic conference. His routine wasn't peer-reviewed for inclusion in conference proceedings. Are there opportunities to debate his claims as delivered? Certainly. I suspect he would’ve added some clarifying nuance in a robust defense of his positions if we sat down with him one-on-one. I wouldn’t presume that a five-minute bit defined his knowledge of the topic. “When I was a Christian, I wasn’t a literalist.” Well, plenty of people are. Having different denominations isn’t a problem actually, it’s when you start to excommunicate the other denomination, that’s when it’s problematic. @@kshavon3098 Hello, I always hear the argument: How do you think things came to be? You know what? For the sake of the argument, sure, let's pretend it in fact did all came to be thanks to some powerful being. But why does it have to be the big G God from the bible? Why not some hinduism god, why not some scientist in the lab? Why not some interdimensional labrapoodle that took a poo? Why are you so sure we are not living in a simulation? Out of all the possibilities, I can safely bet, none of the religions guessed everything correctly. My point of view is as follows: Due to lack of evidence it's like 50/50 chance between all natural process vs some intelligent act (not design, it may have been a lab accident) If it is in fact act of intelligence, where did this intelligence came to be? Aaaand we spin in a circle. At some point we have to accept that at some point, something or someone came from nothing. I am more willing to bet that it was in fact someTHING and not someONE which came from an ACTUAL nothing. That thought still works when you also think of someone or something that never came to be but just was. At this point, it's the same thing, since "from nothing" also means without time itself. So actually not even religion can answer how all came to be. Big Bang has actually the same answer as religion. How did big bang happen? I dunno. How did God happen? You dunno. And so we can bicker about this initial fundemantal question all day long, but just because somebody came with the idea of some god few thousands years ago and there is a book about it today, does not give it more credibility than for example Matrix movie has. (The part where people don't know they are in a simulation) The only difference is that Matrix is actually admiting it's just an idea made by people. About bible it either was just an idea but people forgot or it was actually MADE to control people and it never admited that it was a human thought. Not God's. The only thing I can not say anything against is if you think such and such god has started Big Bang. But any influence after that ... just bedtime stories of mankind. If it would be god's words in the bible, how come almost any "historical" event in the bible is BS? In defense of science and big bang: Now, I do believe that scientific method is the best and currently the only useful method to study the reality we live in. You may say that is a belief as well. Maybe. But the beauty of science and math is that it takes very little to believe in it. There are things called axioms. Those are foundational statements that we just think are true. Like 1 + 1 = 2. Now 1 + 1 = 2 is now not an actual axiom, it is just a way to write something, and if you redefine what that text means you may find weird results, ... But the usual 1+1=2 is proven on top of some foundational axioms about counts of things in some kind of a bag (actual term is a Set) Now that is something so foundational that nobody in their right mind can dispute that it is true. There may be attempts since mathematically speaking axioms are not truths, we just operate on the basis that they are. It may sound similar to religious statements. But science actually has no problem changing the axioms. Scientific process is here to say the following. Once you experimentally prove, that something is false, it cannot be true. And vice versa. It's usually easier to prove something wrong, since interesting statements describe something about everything, therefore you need a single experiment proving there is this one thing which it doesn't work for. Science is therefore this fluid thing, which gets more and more accurate over time. Very sparingly it happens that a scientific law is actually wrong. More often than not, it may have been wrong by so little, that for most of the human history we did not even notice and we just happen to stumble across something so extreme, the law just did not work THERE. Like a black hole for example, or speeds very close to the speed of light. And by scientific processes, we figured out that space around us is expanding, and that if we look very far which means into the past (since light from very very far has begun it's trip to meet us long time ago) we can actually see the big bang. If you google images of microwave background radiation, it's a photo of a big bang. That simple. We can actually see the big bang.
30 years ago George Carlin played Mr Conductor, the magical train conductor in Shining Time Station on PBS. The series that introduced Americans to Thomas The Tank Engine.
I been a faithful follower of brother George Carlin for 45 yrs! Wish he was here to see the sh*t show going on in politics now, he would have a field day! Hope you watch more of him, he is genius ✌💖☮
Those of us who don't believe, have a very complex, multi-disciplinary, understanding of nature that wouldn't fit in a comment. It takes many years to even understand it superficially. But even if we didn't, that still wouldn't suggest for a second that the claims of religions are correct. I see a few people coping in the comments, saying George wasn't serious. Yes he certainly was. George had no time what so ever for supernatural beliefs. Great video btw. 👍
George Carlin is one of my comedy/philosophy heroes. To anyone who says, " There has to be a God." I 100% disagree. You don't have to believe in a God to still be in awe and wonderment of our natural world. Many questions still go unexplained, but many god claims have been debunked over time, such as 'the earth is the center of the universe.' There are over 3000 god claims throughout the world, and over 100 splintered sects of Christianity. The Catholics and Protestants murdered each other for years because they couldn't simply agree to disagree, which leaves me to believe that religion is the creation of MAN, and the interpretations of biblical scripture is always different from person to person. Besides, if a "God" really existed and he wanted to have a "personal relationship" with me, then he would have told me himself. An all powerful and all knowing "God" shouldn't need other humans to communicate on his behalf. I believe that WE DON'T KNOW the ORIGIN or PURPOSE of OUR EXISTENCE. So it is up to each and every one of us to determine our own self worth and purpose in life. The BURDEN OF PROOF is solely on the ones who make a GOD CLAIM. To this day, NO ONE has ever been able to prove the existence of a "God." There is NO PROOF that anything claimed to be SUPERNATURAL actually exists within our NATURAL WORLD. Just try to be a good human being to yourself and to others, and try not to brake any laws. LIVE AND LET LIVE. Upon my death, may my CONSIOUSNESS CEASE TO EXIST, and may MY BODY'S EVERGY IRRADIATE INTO THE COSMOS.
Exactly. She utilized the fallacy known as "special pleading." Something had to create everything, but the god who created everything did not require a creator. Some members of our species struggle to say "I do not know."
Exactly I'm extremely skeptical about it and if I have to answer to it one day I'll be 100% about it lol however I have seen a video with indigenous people doing a ceremony for the victims and children from the residential schools here in Canada by a river In b.c i think it was and while hey were doing their ceremony you would see 2 or 3 whales pop up in the river and watch... now apparently the whale is the spirit animal for that particular type of ceremony so to me if anything I believe the indigenous beliefs..
Well, there's certainly no evidence that God is looking out for people, but there are apparently lots of powerful people and celebrities in secret societies and cults.. so maybe God is, in fact, evil.
6:00 I don't know how everything came to be and neither do you. What I don't do is assume that some magical space wizard abracadabra'd it into motion. This is theoretical physics we're talking about. Dark matter and space-time. It's completely irresponsible to slap "God" onto every complex thing that you don't understand. Just say you don't know and move on.
This is one piece of a much, much longer special. George Carlin was a Master Wordsmith & Storyteller. And a philosopher, easily decades ahead of his time. "The American Dream" is as relevant today as it was 30 years ago. "Saving the Planet" is another one decades ahead of time. "Soft Language" is amazing. He makes people laugh & think.
Hi sweetheart. Thanks so much for doing this video. I have been following George Carlin ever since I was old enough to get his humour and he is just brilliant. Another one of my favourites is Gabriel Iglesias. That guy just cracks me up. I am still laughing right now while I am typing. I am Buddhist but I tolerate other peoples religions because I believe in their right to believe in that and I believe in tolerance and I think all of us should do so. I agree when he said that maybe God should be a woman because then things like war and poverty, etc wouldn’t happen. If the world was run by woman there would be less wars. They just might be a couple of countries that don’t want to talk to each other for awhile. LOL. As I said, thanks for another great video and please take care of yourself and blessings to you from England.
Everything that exists could exist exactly as it is today without a GOD having to exist. Nothing has to have been created. Everything that exists has always existed in one form or another.
I miss George...The man knew what funny was...Of course back then people still had a sense of humor about themselves and didn't get offended by something every 5 minutes... Could you imagine George Carlin doing comedy TODAY? They'd crucify him...Oh well... Wherever you are George we miss you!
Lolz, dood...you just got all offended, by yourself. Take a chill pill, yeah? Just because people change their perceptions on what's funny or not -- like *all throughout human history* -- doesn't mean no one has a sense of humor. Fekkin hell...
@D0nut42 'Lolz, dude.. you just got offended all by yourself!' EVERYONE gets offended all by themselves. Offence is never given, it is only ever taken. Since only the individual has control over their own thoughts & feelings, no one else.
I'm a straight-up leftist, and Carlin has always been someone I looked up to. Maybe I'm reading your comment wrong, but normally, when people say shit like "they couldn't do that today," it's a poor attempt at striking out at "libs." If your comment was meant to emphasize the rising authority of the christian right, then I'd still disagree, but I'd understand where you're coming from.
It's amazing how God worked it out so that all the Christians are in countries where they're brought up Christian and all the Hindus are in countries where they are brought up Hindu. It's really quite the coincidence.
I like your reaction. I can respect your faith, this is one not everybody has to agree with. I myself, find it to be somewhat a mind twister and hilarious. I can't recall another reaction like yours. I could see the WTF in your expression. Sorry, but I had a good laugh. I would try another one like the "Save the Planet" that's being mentioned by many others. Thumbs up!
Exactly. And I would be fine with everyone having their beliefs, and I’d never vote to restrict them or anything, but people need to stop letting their religion or church influence how they vote.
You ask how did things come into being, then where did god come from? If you say that god always existed then it's equally fair to say that everything always existed. The truth is no one knows. That's the honest answer
Nah, he absolutely would survive "cancel culture." You ever notice who cries "cancel culture" most of all? Here's a hint: they tend to be the subject of his most vicious - a.k.a. "brutally honest" - jokes, the same people who take rather particular offense at jokes like these. He would just be brushing off these whiners as he filled far bigger audiences than the latest criers of "cancel culture" ever did (looking at you, Chapelle, Barr, and Seinfeld).
Believing something to be true simply because you WANT it to be true is a very disingenuous and self-deceitful way to seek truth. This is why faith is the most dishonest position to hold, because it is auto-deceptive.
Dear……he didn’t say “talk” to god, he was saying what’s the purpose of “praying to god for something YOU want if Gods divine plan is already set” for you. Meaning if it’s already set in stone from God (his divine plan) and God is never wrong, then what would be the purpose to go ahead and pray for something that YOU want. 👍
The problem with believe is that it is not part of our five senses, and everything that humans know to be true is within our five senses. God didn't make us, we made God in our image, and everything about us humans we projected onto God.
5:52 "But how do you think everything came to be if there's not a higher power?" This is one of the questions that believers like to jump to. There are two major problems with this question. First, there is no reason that you have to know how everything came to be. Not knowing that doesn't mean a god had to exist to do it, especially when you don't see any evidence of a god failing that explanation for existence. Second, you don't have any explanation for how god came to be. All non-believers do in this case is remove a step as they aren't taking one thing they can't explain and explaining it with another thing they can't explain. They instead just stick with one thing they can't explain. As for the actual answer, there's this theory in science called the big bang theory which is the best explanation science has for how everything came to be. Sure, it isn't complete as we don't know everything about it, but we know enough about it to know that it fits and it does a good job explaining how everything came to be. 7:26 "WHAT THE FUCK?!" Ah, your first real introduction to who this man is. Great moment. And yeah, I say 'is' and not 'was' because, dead or not, this still who he is. All the times I said 'is' in the past isn't suddenly wrong when the person dies, so why should it be wrong now, especially when you can still experience him? 8:49 "But god wants you to talk to him." What for? You give the example of you with your kids, but how does that relate to god? Why would god need anything from us? Supposedly, he should already know us better than we know ourselves, and he is the all perfect creator of all of existence. If he needs anything from us, even just having a desire of validation, then he wouldn't be perfect. I don't even see why this god would create a universe. If he's perfect, then he'd be fine having all of reality being just him. I mean, supposedly he already knew how everything from the beginning to the end of time for all possible universes would happen before created the universe the way that he did. It's a lot like writing a book for yourself that you've already read over and over and can recite from memory. What's the point?
I also believe in God. But I also have wondered why bad things happen to good people. Ok, you could say its karma. But.. when I was in junior high school I knew this girl named Denise. She was my age so like 13-14 years old. One Saturday afternoon she went for a ride with her sister's boyfriend on his motorcycle. They got hit by a drunk driver. The sister's boyfriend was banged up but he survived. Denise died 4 days later in the hospital. When the boyfriend found out, he killed himself. Is there anyone reading this that can understand why she deserved to die at 13 years old? Worse yet, what could her parents possibly have done to deserve to lose a child so tragically? They say God has a plan and everything for a reason. But... really??
Well... i dont think anybody feels she deserved to die, however... think of the alternative where god gave us no choice. Not for her to get in that car, not for us to choose to love a god who gave us the option of loving him. In that case loving god would be meaningless
I could write a novel. Instead I'll just say that though I'm not an Atheist (though they're some of the best people I've met and observed - far less judgemental than Christians, Muslims, and even many Jews), the thing that gets me most are twofold: 1) if you believe that everything had to come from something, which is what almost all outspoken Christians I hear saying, which then becomes the "therefore God" argument....then where did God come from???? and 2) the fact that so many Christians are so narrow minded as to be oblivious to the fact that if they had been born in Iraq or Iran the overwhelming likelihood is that they'd be a Muslim with very different beliefs, or if they had been born in Israel they'd be Jewish - and remember...most Jews do not believe that Christ has come yet. Some of them do, but it's more than a fair statement to say most don't. They're still "waiting" on him and believe that the entity Christians believe was Jesus was a false prophet or simply wasn't Jesus. But if you talk to the average Christian they're literally INCAPABLE of understanding these basic logic driven observations, and the illogical fallacies of their "therefore God" argument/s. Lastly, to echo another person I saw post on this, believe in what you want, but keep your religious beliefs OUT OF THE GOVERNMENT. It has no place, and the founding fathers (though they were far from perfect) understood this. If you think living in a Theocracy is a good idea take a look at the Middle East and the Jews & Muslims. And it didn't all start with Gaza in October for all you Gen Z'ers out there. Far from it. They've been feuding, killing one another, and going to war for EONS over there. And why??? Because both sides believe the land was promised to them by their "God" in their respective religious texts. Once you bring religious beliefs into a debate logic goes out he window, and that's NO way to run a government or country.
You said people ask why does god let bad things happen. It can only be 1 of 3 options: 1. He's incompetent. 2. He's doesn't give a shit. 3. He doesn't exist. No one knows the origins of the universe and there is nothin wrong with that. Serioues question though, how can you tell the difference between a god that doesn't talk or reveal themselves and one that doesn't exist?
God doesn't try to get involved in our business to often he wants us too make things better on our own. We have free will after all! I believe in him and I always will! ❤ we need to love one another, love is the only thing that can save us, and God is love! We are from him, and if we don't love ourselves, we can't love him.
God, in the Bible, hardened Pharaoh's heart so he wouldn't let the Israelites go. So God doesn't actually value freewill, according to the Bible. So why would you say he doesn't get involved? Were you lied to about what Bible actually says and never questioned it??? Never actually read it, and just parroting what others have told you? Will you exercise freewill to educate yourself on what the Bible actually says? "God doesn't try to get involved in our business" is Biblically inaccurate. Fix your opinion.
You claim people have autonomous free will, yet also state that a deity occasionally intervenes in human affairs, thus undermining your claim about free will. How do you reconcile this inconsistency in your argument?
We have a great amount of evidence to explain where everything came from. We know about plate tectonics and how the continents have shifted over time. We know how life evolved, which explains the diversity of life, and so on. But here's the thing. Even if we didn't know any of it, religion still wouldn't explain anything. God doesn't 'win by default' just because something is unexplainable.
Just because you cannot show 'How everythiong came together' does not mean you can just say "Well i don't know so lets just put a god in there", A god that has NEVER, ever been shown to exist. Never ever. 2,000 years of " exaggerated claims and false promises ".

The science of cosmology does a great job at explaining how things came to be. Much better than any religious text, which doesn't actually explain anything about the universe and actually gets a lot wrong because the texts were written by people who didn't know any better. They did the best they could but they were wrong. The inflation theory together with the energy-time relation of the Heisenberg uncertainty principle explains the existence of particles. All else is consequence. Before that, we don't know. But that before time is about a billionth of a billionth of a billionth of a second after "creation". The science goes back that far.

The King had it imported from the Netherlands and rushed to Gloucester. The gunners had never fired a gun like it before and the first time they did it blew up.
Yeah, there has to be a God that created the Universe. But that logic means there also needs to be something that created God. Once again I am confused.
@@BH-wh2vo because science kicks in just after cosmic inflation begins. Lots of good science after that instant. Nothing approaching science for whatever (if anything) preceded it. Speculation but nothing testable and if it can't be tested it is philosophy and not science. I doubt God takes a form we could comprehend, nothing remotely akin to the God of Abraham but this universe is real big and surely there is something so far beyond my comprehension that I would consider it God. But the ant in an ant farm would surely consider the kid that put their enclosed world together to be a God. He created their universe, provides their food and can delete any ant at any moment if angered. It wouldn't mean that their God cares about what happens to individual ants.
@@BH-wh2vothere is no way to test or observe anything before cosmic inflation started. I am all about following the science. But everything that happened earlier is a matter of philosophy - there is no science that explains it. Some speculate about there being no beginning but it is not science.

That thought still works when you also think of someone or something that never came to be but just was. At this point, it's the same thing,
since "from nothing" also means without time itself.
So actually not even religion can answer how all came to be.
Big Bang has actually the same answer as religion.
How did big bang happen? I dunno. How did God happen? You dunno.
And so we can bicker about this initial fundemantal question all day long,
but just because somebody came with the idea of some god few thousands years ago
and there is a book about it today, does not give it more credibility than for example Matrix movie has.
(The part where people don't know they are in a simulation)
The only difference is that Matrix is actually admiting it's just an idea made by people.
About bible it either was just an idea but people forgot or it was actually MADE to control people
and it never admited that it was a human thought. Not God's.
The only thing I can not say anything against is if you think such and such god has started Big Bang.
But any influence after that ... just bedtime stories of mankind.
If it would be god's words in the bible, how come almost any "historical" event in the bible is BS?
In defense of science and big bang:
Now, I do believe that scientific method is the best and currently
the only useful method to study the reality we live in.
You may say that is a belief as well. Maybe. But the beauty of science and math
is that it takes very little to believe in it. There are things called axioms.
Those are foundational statements that we just think are true. Like 1 + 1 = 2.
Now 1 + 1 = 2 is now not an actual axiom, it is just a way to write something,
and if you redefine what that text means you may find weird results, ...
But the usual 1+1=2 is proven on top of some foundational axioms about
counts of things in some kind of a bag (actual term is a Set)
Now that is something so foundational that nobody in their right mind can dispute that it is true.
There may be attempts since mathematically speaking axioms are not truths,
we just operate on the basis that they are.
It may sound similar to religious statements. But science actually has no problem changing the axioms.
Scientific process is here to say the following. Once you experimentally prove, that something is false,
it cannot be true. And vice versa. It's usually easier to prove something wrong, since interesting statements
describe something about everything, therefore you need a single experiment proving there is this one thing which it doesn't work for.
Science is therefore this fluid thing, which gets more and more accurate over time. Very sparingly it happens that a scientific law is actually wrong.
More often than not, it may have been wrong by so little, that for most of the human history we did not even notice and we just happen to stumble across
something so extreme, the law just did not work THERE. Like a black hole for example, or speeds very close to the speed of light.
And by scientific processes, we figured out that space around us is expanding, and that if we look very far
which means into the past (since light from very very far has begun it's trip to meet us long time ago)
we can actually see the big bang. If you google images of microwave background radiation, it's a photo of a big bang.
That simple. We can actually see the big bang.
Thanks, great watching you watching George
THANK U SO MUCH
LOVE George! Saw him in Vegas on my 21st birthday!
The greatest philosopher of our time. I love and miss that man
30 years ago George Carlin played Mr Conductor, the magical train conductor in Shining Time Station on PBS. The series that introduced Americans to Thomas The Tank Engine.
Giiiiirrrl. PLEASE PLEASE do his bit about the planet being fine!!

She looked like she was waiting for him to be hit by lightning. Hehe. No lies told, George, no lies told!
I been a faithful follower of brother George Carlin for 45 yrs! Wish he was here to see the sh*t show going on in politics now, he would have a field day! Hope you watch more of him, he is genius ✌💖☮
Aww, dammit, you wussed out! I was looking forward to your assessment of this skit.
THX BABE
To this day, NO ONE has ever been able to prove the existence of a "God."
There is NO PROOF that anything claimed to be SUPERNATURAL actually exists within our NATURAL WORLD.
Believing in God is not necessarily the same thing as believing in a God that gives a shit.
@@ThePelagicHermit LOL
Well, there's certainly no evidence that God is looking out for people, but there are apparently lots of powerful people and celebrities in secret societies and cults.. so maybe God is, in fact, evil.

6:00 I don't know how everything came to be and neither do you. What I don't do is assume that some magical space wizard abracadabra'd it into motion. This is theoretical physics we're talking about. Dark matter and space-time. It's completely irresponsible to slap "God" onto every complex thing that you don't understand. Just say you don't know and move on.
I saw this genius live at Clowes Hall. I’m grateful for that memory.
JOE WAS IN THE AUDIENCE ON THIS SHOW K 😊
LOL FOR REAL?!!

I'm a straight-up leftist, and Carlin has always been someone I looked up to. Maybe I'm reading your comment wrong, but normally, when people say shit like "they couldn't do that today," it's a poor attempt at striking out at "libs." Girl..George Carlin is a legend
You ask how did things come into being, then where did god come from? If you say that god always existed then it's equally fair to say that everything always existed. The truth is no one knows. That's the honest answer
Yes exactly, and we can at least go by what we have discovered.
I believe in God, too. George Carlin is hilarious. His commentary on dumb Americans is great!!
How did god come to be?..Did He create himself?...Oh, boy! Here we GO!..How dare I ask such a sensible question?!!
Tax the churches!
He is a "G.O.A.T." definitely wouldn't survive today's "CANCEL CULTURE" HE was "BRUTALLY HONEST" and Hilarious 😂
I don't know. Therefore, God is not a good answer.
Hey sweetie. Your recorded voice is too low.
IK THATS MY FAULT
Dear……he didn’t say “talk” to god, he was saying what’s the purpose of “praying to god for something YOU want if Gods divine plan is already set” for you. Meaning if it’s already set in stone from God (his divine plan) and God is never wrong, then what would be the purpose to go ahead and pray for something that YOU want. 👍
The problem with believe is that it is not part of our five senses, and everything that humans know to be true is within our five senses. God didn't make us, we made God in our image, and everything about us humans we projected onto God.
5:52 "But how do you think everything came to be if there's not a higher power?"
This is one of the questions that believers like to jump to.
7:26 "WHAT THE FUCK?!"
Ah, your first real introduction to who this man is. Great moment.
And yeah, I say 'is' and not 'was' because, dead or not, this still who he is. All the times I said 'is' in the past isn't suddenly wrong when the person dies, so why should it be wrong now, especially when you can still experience him?
8:49 "But god wants you to talk to him."
What for?
George on Saving the Planet 🌎 He's a legend. A lot of his stuff makes you think more than laugh.
You're audio is cutting out really bad
IK MY WEAVE GOT CAUGHT ON MY MIC😂
Fun fact,
Joe Pesci was in the audience for this show....
LOL I HEARD THAT
The Earth is 4 and a half BILLION years old. It has gone through many climate phases and species, long before we appeared on the scene!
So you believe in God.. because you believe in God... sound logic....
You said people ask why does god let bad things happen. It can only be 1 of 3 options:
💯
God, in the Bible, hardened Pharaoh's heart so he wouldn't let the Israelites go. So God doesn't actually value freewill, according to the Bible. So why would you say he doesn't get involved? Were you lied to about what Bible actually says and never questioned it??? Never actually read it, and just parroting what others have told you? Will you exercise freewill to educate yourself on what the Bible actually says? "God doesn't try to get involved in our business" is Biblically inaccurate. Fix your opinion.
Or maybe, he just doesn't give a shit...
You claim people have autonomous free will, yet also state that a deity occasionally intervenes in human affairs, thus undermining your claim about free will. How do you reconcile this inconsistency in your argument?
That's conjecture and assumption in bias ignorance.

There may be some super power out there but it will not be the Christian version. No, it will be more like the ancient Greek gods who considered humans to be their play things. Nothing in this world suggests that it was created by a caring, benevolent god.

Yeah, there has to be a God that created the Universe. But that logic means there also needs to be something that created God.
Once again I am confused.
Why can't it be any of the predominant theories that science has put forth?
💯
@@BH-wh2vothere is no way to test or observe anything before cosmic inflation started. I am all about following the science. But everything that happened earlier is a matter of philosophy - there is no science that explains it. Some speculate about there being no beginning but it is not science.
