They're Getting Modded! Montgomery/KONE Traction Central Elevators at The Dolphin Resort, LBV, FL

Well guys, remember these ULTRA FAST and THRILLING Monties I filmed last year that had BEAUTIFUL Cabs & A Series Fixtures as well as BEAUTIFUL MECHANICAL BELLS, DROPPED LIKE ROCKS, Sounded like Freight Trains and LAUNCHED like ROCKETS that I said would most likely be unfortunately modded by KONE......Well, fast forward one year later aka now, and indeed they are....
After seeing the mod at the neighboring Swan last year and seeing how well they ran and how they still had some character after the mod and that KONE didn't change the speed, I had hope that this would be the same case here. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case.
Of course, the new fixtures look a bit generic, and I don't see why they are 99% Totally Replacing Well Running Elevators minus the Old Doors aside from the fact the Florida Code's likely require it. But that's beside the point.
The fixtures do still look fairly nice and the new cab is indeed beautiful and the same one used on the Swan, even though I personally prefer the look of the Old Monties over these, however, the new elevator in this bank as you can see no longer has a voice, which the Old Monties did, which for ADA reasons, this is definitely a downgrade. Hopefully this will be fixed by the time the mod is complete, but I also was VERY disappointed to see they actually made these go SLOWER than the Old Ones!!!!
While it isn't that much of a difference, I did compare the speed on these to the Original Monties on my old video from last year, and while the Monties took only 15 SECONDS to go from Lobby to 20, the New KONE Revolution Elevator took 18 Seconds to go just to 18 from L!!!! While it isn't that much of a difference, the difference in speed does show, and unfortunately, most mods usually make elevators go slower, regardless of company, note, I'm not blaming KONE for this personally....
Also, unlike the Old Monties, they are VERY BORING in terms of ride quality in comparison as they don't have the DRAMATIC and THRILLING Effect anymore that the Monties did!!! While you can still feel them move a little and they don't feel like they're floating like most MRL Ecodiscs do, they still are incredibly boring in comparison to the Old Elevators.
To be fair though, the one original Monty that was running at the time this was taken, while it still seemed to go as fast as I remembered them, it wasn't quite as dramatic as the 2 that had already been/were being modded/replaced at the time this was taken that I filmed in their original form last year. The Remaining Original Car also doesn't talk anymore either, but it did last year in AdazElevatorz video, so I have no idea why it doesn't anymore....
Overall, while by no means the worst near full replacement mod I've seen from KONE and by no means the worst product I've seen from KONE (having seen so many buggy and glitchy ones that feel so cheap physically, and these aren't like that), I still definitely prefer the Original Montgomery Elevators and the Old Cabs A LOT over these (even though the new cabs are indeed pretty nice) and I definitely do NOT like how they made the New Elevators Slower than the Old Ones and I'm not a fan AT ALL of how they took away the EPIC and FUN Run Character these used to have either, but again, not the worst mod either. I'm still not a fan of it though, and I think they could've done a better job or better yet leave these alone (although sadly not possible with Florida Codes)!!!!
At the time this was taken, one elevator was modded in this bank, one was almost done being modded but not quite done from the looks of it, and one was original. For those who are about to ask, no I didn't film the 2 low rise banks in the building, but I did get a look at them, and out of the 6 elevators in both of those banks, 2 had been modded.
Anyways, with that being said, enjoy a FINAL RIDE on some of the most THRILLING and FUN Elevators I've ever been on, as well as a ride on some decent, but boring in comparison, New KONEs that are taking their place!

Installed: 1989 (Montgomery with Handcarved Wooden Cabs, A Series fixtures, Adams Keyswitches and Blue Monty Indicators)
Being Modernized/Replaced: 2019 (KONE with New ReVolution Ecodisc Motors, New Controllers, New Lanterns, New Innovation Prestige Fixtures, New Door and Shaft Equipment, New Doortracks and basically EVERYTHING but the Outer Doors is being replaced, making this essentially a total replacement)
When I lived in Auburndale, Fl, we used to come ride the monorail, and come ride these elevators! They are SOOOOO fast! it feels like your free falling for a second! I lived in Florida for 12 years until i moved to Tennessee in 2017 :( I lived about 25 minutes from disney! Also i think they're getting new monorails soon!
Those LCD indicators are a big plus.

Okay, I am just kidding about the last part, but I would rather see the old Montgomery elevators than the shitty and crappy Kone that won't last long!

Decently, though they seem to have slowed them down a bit....and they aren't nearly as dramatic or rocket like...
