    While we do have free technique videos available on this channel, the difference in detail and structure between a free/short youtube video and a six hour instructional is significant. If you want to follow up and learn more, we have a plethora of insanely detailed and structured instructionals on BJJ Fanatics. You can go to BJJFanatics.com and search Andrew Wiltse, or follow the link below.

    If you want to see more content like this, along with other things like pictures, flyers for seminars, smaller clips, random hood rat stuff, ect, check out my Instagram. It is by far the easiest way to get ahold of me outside of messaging me on patreon.

    If you are looking for a way to throw money our way, or if you want Me and Bird to Commentate on your Rolls, Make you a Particular Technique Video, Live Q&A Stuff, ect. We have a Patreon that is being developed with more perks coming.

    If you want to see some actual high quality videos and documentary type stuff, check out the Pedigo Submission Fighting TH-cam. I don't have too much involvement in making those videos, but They do a pretty fantastic job with the production quality and editing.

    I noticed this guys jiu jutsu is good. But his sheer explosion and speed in his movement is what separates him from everyone else. Coupled with great technique is a scary combo

    Good God I need to get my shot to be half as clean and a quarter as fast as yours. Great point in that hesitation on the fake arm drag too, I find myself doing that in positions I find uncomfortable (guard and standing) where I hesitate because the guy *might* counter and it ends up getting me punished
    Can't say I'm looking forward to doing 10,000 shot reps

    Good tips. You can also consider dragging the arm of your opponents lead foot. Match your lead foot with your opponent's lead foot and position your foot just outside of his, then drag with the same side arm as your lead leg. It's a long drag if you drag the rear leg/arm, they usually pull out (thats what she said), you end up dragging em too far past or they just circle back and face you where you originally started. Great tips though

  • @mooneymakes359
    @mooneymakes359 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Only someone who has cross trained Jui Jitsu and wrestling would ever consider this combo. Its really lucky to come across this because you would never see it as a wrestler but it does make sense ive never done anything like it so i cannot imagine my body doing a sit out for a take down but like someone else said the explosiveness and capabilty of the person to refoot is what is going to make this a success or not. No explosion would be punished.

    • @josephbreza-grappling9459
      @josephbreza-grappling9459 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They have! Before my time actually, and I’m 12 years older than Wiltse. Lincoln Mcilravy used this same thing and off the outside elbow control off the collar tie. I used to do the drag like this before collegiate wrestling, but our coach stressed stepping in with the opposite leg and getting the bodylock. It’s a greco variation, but it has a MUCH higher percent finish on high level wrestlers. This requires more athleticism, but Wiltse has more athleticism than 99% of people. If he had trained in our team, he would have been an incredible wrestler. I’ve coached very high level wrestlers, and only a few have this kind of athleticism.

    At 4:13 you talk about the posture, if you were in a Gi then how do you react if the opponent tries to grab your collar and pull guard? I love the wrestling takedowns but find that I can rarely use them in Gi because my opponents pull guard before I have the chance.

    • @WiltseBrothers
      @WiltseBrothers  3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      If I even have the slightest idea that you want to pull guard, I go full D1 Hyper Aggressive Jordan Burroughs Shot Mode and just fling myself at their legs non stop so they either can't pull, or I get my takedown.

    Hey Andrew, how much did you drill these to get them smooth? Would love to hit drags like this in competition, but I'm just wondering what kind of investment did you make to get to the point where you were hitting them against good resisting opponents.
