I did.Nice presentation. This cemetery is really unique. It was interesting but sad to view the interior of the pyramid mausoleum as well as the other one beside it.Whoever desecrated the final resting places of the departed are very disturbed individuals.

What a beautiful and peaceful place. So saddened to see that someone would vandalise the burial place of anyone - and to see that they set it on fire?!! What on earth were they thinking? That act of theirs is going to haunt them as they get older. (Serves them right).
Thank you for sharing this truly beautiful place with us all. Take care and God Bless you both. ~ Cobs xxx

I don't think it's a fire guys because look at the walls, they're clean as a whistle and a fire would have blackened those bricks.
I wonder as you walk around here if I could have family in there, some long lost relatives I never knew because my gran was from Cork, maybe my great grandparents, an aunt, an uncle .....I guess I'll never know.
Thanks guys, another lovely wee visit xx 🥰

Ahh GV, I've joined you before and thankyou for another loving tour.
There was no fire in the mausoleum, it's just years of decay and black mould.
Please don't feel bad that things appear uncared for.
Sometimes the dearly departed have nobody left to care for them and this is where Mother Nature steps in. She will smother them in her loving care and very gently and over many years welcome them back to her.
It's natural, it's beautiful, it's Mother Nature at her very best. ❤

    Hey guys! Great video!
The coffins and ash in the pyramid were NOT burned with fire, but oxidized with age and decomposition, that is what happens in most cases where there is enough moisture.
I watched a video where a cat had died and rotted, but youtube blurred it out!
    Thanks for the video!

Love seeing The Hayes tombstones. My mom's a Hayes and my great grandfather was a Hayes ,somewhere from the area of Dublin . I sure miss him because he had an incredible life. From Ireland to Massachusetts USA to Texas. To fighting in a war at 15 and fighting in WWI and WWII and flew planes and was even a prisoner or war. He was a man's man and proud of his Irish ancestry.

There was no fire in this mausoleum. I've seen this before. After rotting, the wood looks like ash. It returned to its basic element which is carbon and other minerals just like ash. Plus after 100 years or more there isn't much left to burn. The skulls lined could be because of vandalism but then again I could be wrong. Fascinating video nonetheless. Love your channel. Sending love from Quebec Canada. Bravo pour votre merveilleux travail. Je vous envoie plein d'amour du Canada!

Very fascinating! I've run into various old mausoleums from the mid 1800s and earlier here in the US. Ive gone into them with permission and there isnt much left of anyone or anything after 100 or even 50 years. Wood coffins are gone in a few years if there's high humidity and the people are reduced largley to dust and a few bones. In a lot of instances, when additional burial space was needed, the bones were collected, placed in a new smaller container and stacked in a corner, and the old caskets removed and discarded. In some of tge older examples I've found, there were so many people in a given mausoleum that it was essentually an ossuary aftec150 years.

I'd really like to know more about her story. She died in 46, the year after the war, and in the auxillary service I don't know if she would have been near any combat at that time. I'd guess it was disease or an unfortunate accident that killed her. How sad, but also how great of her to have served at such a young age and as a woman. They really were the greatest generation.

The issue with being buried inside a mausoleum is that sooner or later it will no longer be maintained or even the possibly of it being vandalized. I personally wouldn't care if my grave ended up being overgrown and forgotten as long as the cemetery or my grave wasn't vandalized.

The mausoleum is an amazing structure to be found in a churchyard. It's even more spectacular with all the undergrowth covering it. Only the very wealthy could afford these type of structures. Not just then, but even nowadays as well. It's such a shame that people cannot leave things alone, it's sacrilege. They will get no luck for that...😃👍🏻

Excellent vlog. The DeBerg family were a big deal at one time. The Irish line died out in 1916. WW1? My grandmother Helena O'Leary was born in County Cork. She so loved it I was told by my Mom. Her Dad was mixed up in politics of the time and sent her to America. She didn't like it here. So she bought a ticket back to home. When she got back to Cork he made her swear to never come back! :( So very sad! She kept her word. Love to see vlogs on Cork a place my grandmother loved so much!

I really like those pyramid style mausoleums, so neat. Well, the bones are a result of decades of rot on the coffins, but hopefully not from a fire.
Man for a graveyard so far out there there were some relatively newish graves there. Ok guys, can’t wait for the next adventure, God bless you both, Ot.

That’s definitely been on fire at some point . The walls have oxidised from heat , because these mostly Liam are sealed and have very little airflow through them. The bricks inside tend to get a white Phosphorus grow on them, especially from this stage it would most definitely have it but also the evidence is on the floor . I’m a Volunteer in grade to listed cemetery and I’m privileged to go inside a lot of more that are not open to the public

Someone did something in there. 4 skulls in a row?!? Sad that when the church is gone the graveyards are left unkept. Thanks for walking up that hill for us😂❤

Good job with the videos mate.
I doubt there was a fire in that mausoleum because if you look at the red brick walls they’re all immaculate internally.
Wouldn’t they be fire damaged and charcoal blackened after a fire?
I wonder if they simply spread black charcoal on the floor of the Mausoleum to control moisture and Odours and things like that….?
Keep up the good work all the best from Australia …..!!!

Thank you for taking us along with you. I always wonder how some head stones that are so old look so new. The pyramid mausoleum was very sad to see inside. I do question whether it was burned inside but it definitely had someone inside messing around with the skulls seeing them lined up like that! What possesses people to go in and disturb the dead by touching them and moving their bones. I hope those people are haunted for the rest of their lives.

It could be just black mold and mildew. Looks very damp, don’t think you could start a fire big enough to destroy the whole inside.

What a peaceful and beautiful place! It appears that someone destroyed the coffins and even lined up the skulls. They wouldn’t have been this way naturally. Perhaps someone had a personal score to settle or were looking for valuables? Who knows for sure. But let the Dead zrest In Peace for Gods sake! Thank You So Much for sharing these Lovely resting places! And that phrase: Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery and today is the present and this is why it is a gift. I believe if I remember correctly that it was Elenor Roosevelt who came up with this phrase. And ain’t it the truth. Many Blessings! DaveyJO in Pennsylvania

Why would someone do that to someones final resting place!! It appears to have a fire and then someone went in and placed those skulls that way. Absolutely heartbreaking. One of the coolest Mausoleums I have ever seen! Loved this video!

Brilliant video Cathal, definitely looks like a fire in there but it's very weird that the smoke didn't affect the walls or roof. But definitely looks like someone was in there messing with the bodies and skulls .. little fn shits ..

I think it's a shame that it looks as though no one cares for that cemetery. Grass is out of control over the graves and tombs.
