Thank you for this video, it is very helpful but I cannot reset it because I cannot find the admin settings on my account as it is a school account. Do you know how to fix school accounts?
The School subscription should have an Admin user. You need to contact the IT support for the school and they should have access to the admin center. Then, ask them to reset MFA for your specific account. The Admin role is assigned to a specific user. A regular user should not have access to this admin panel. Thank you.

If you are the admin of your MS 365 Business subscription, then you should be able to find the admin icon within your apps (via login.microsoftonline.com). If you don't see the admin icon, it is because your account doesn't have assigned the admin role. You will need to contact the user with the admin role. Please be aware that it applies to MS 365 Business and Enterprise edition. thank you.
Be aware that the admin account is part of a Microsoft 365 Business or School subscription. In this is your case or even for a Microsoft personal account, you may need to contact Microsoft support to request a MFA reset for your account.

@@itwithcarlos Thank you very much for your reply. I had a deeper problem, because i saw that you can logg in to your e-mail without the need of an authenticator and then reset it inside your e-mail profile. But the deep problem I had was that I could not remember the security answers to my old e-mails so I had to reset those, which are going to take 30 days to do. haha.
But how do you access 365 when your authenticator isn't working (e.g., because you've got a new phone and your accounts are tied to the authenticator on your old phone). To update your accounts to the authenticator on your new phone you need to disable MFA on your accounts, which you can only do if you have a working authenticator!
Hi Robin, if you are the only admin (and there is not a backup account to access the admin panel), then you have to contact MS support to resolve the issue. Thank you.
If you are the only admin in your MS 365 Business subscription, then you will have to contact MS support to request the MFA reset for your account. Thank you.,

In this case, you will need to contact the admin of your MS 365. The admin will be able to follow the steps that are indicated in this video. Once, the MFA is reset, you will be able ton configure your new phone again. Thank you!
If the phone is not available, you will need to create/have an alternate admin user that can reset the MFA settings for the user that lost his/her phone. You can also add an alternate phone (for recovery) so you can use it in case your lose the main phone. It needs to be done before your lose access to your phone. If it is not the case and you don't other admin user, then you will need to contact MS support and go through a verification process. Thanks.

If you are the admin of your MS 365 Business subscription, then you should be able to find the admin icon within your apps (via login.microsoftonline.com). I lost my phone and it's an iPhone attached to my work account and I have no idea how to get this burner phone an Android to do anything that I needed to do until I can put a claim in for the iPhone tomorrow I don't even think I should do a thing but I need to communicate with them
How u opend the new browser and showed admin
If you are the admin of your MS 365 Business subscription, then you should be able to find the admin icon within your apps (via login.microsoftonline.com). If you don't see the admin icon, it is because your account doesn't have assigned the admin role. You will need to contact the user with the admin role. Please be aware that it applies to MS 365 Business and Enterprise edition. thank you.
Awesome video. Thank you, Carlos! This is exactly what i needed to help a user. 🎉
Glad it was helpful! thank you.
I don't have an admin account and i don't really know who has it either. what do i do about that?
Be aware that the admin account is part of a Microsoft 365 Business or School subscription. In this is your case or even for a Microsoft personal account, you may need to contact Microsoft support to request a MFA reset for your account.
Thank you so much! +1 subscriber
I am glad you like it, thank you!
pourquoi je n'ai pas Admin dans Microsoft 365 ??
Sachez que le centre d'administration est destiné à MS 365 Business et que l'utilisateur doit avoir le rôle d'administrateur. La plupart des utilisateurs n'y ont pas accès.
Merci
but what do you do if you lose all your information on the authenticator app because you bout a new phone? When I try to logg in to my email i need to approve it on my authenticator app, but there is nothing to approve because I have changed phones and the information from the authenticator app form the old phone is lost forever. The new phone does not have it. how do I reset all this?
If you are the only administrator in your MS 365 Business subscription, then you may need to contact MS support and request MFA reset for your account. Thank you.
@@itwithcarlos Thank you very much for your reply. I had a deeper problem, because i saw that you can logg in to your e-mail without the need of an authenticator and then reset it inside your e-mail profile. But the deep problem I had was that I could not remember the security answers to my old e-mails so I had to reset those, which are going to take 30 days to do. haha.
You clip save my life
I am glad it helped you, thanks
But how do you access 365 when your authenticator isn't working (e.g., because you've got a new phone and your accounts are tied to the authenticator on your old phone). To update your accounts to the authenticator on your new phone you need to disable MFA on your accounts, which you can only do if you have a working authenticator!
Hi Robin, if you are the only admin (and there is not a backup account to access the admin panel), then you have to contact MS support to resolve the issue. Thank you.
@@itwithcarlos Thanks very much - I've now tried to contact the administrator and if that doesn't work I'll contact MS. Thanks again!
how will i approve when i dont have a phone?
If you are the only admin in your MS 365 Business subscription, then you will have to contact MS support to request the MFA reset for your account. Thank you.,
Thank you very much!
You're welcome! and thank you.
thanks my friend, you helps a lot
Glad to hear that, thank you!
Hello Sire, Please what if the administrator misplace his phone and is unable to log in into his account
It the admin didn't configure/create a authenticator backup, and there is no other admin, then the administrator will need to contact Microsoft support to regain access. Thank you.
@@itwithcarlos Thank you very much sire, I have contacted the other admin to assist. I’m so grateful 👍
Thank you for the feedback@@robertmartey5311
not getting option "can't use my Authenticator app right now", in that case what to do
If you are the only Admin and there is not an alternate authentication method available, then you may need to contact MS support. Thank you.
hello sir, im having trouble getting access to my college portal which was connected with microsoft authenticator app. i lost my phone and im not getting an verification code on my new phone. please tell me the solution.
In this case, you will need to contact the admin of your MS 365. The admin will be able to follow the steps that are indicated in this video. Once, the MFA is reset, you will be able ton configure your new phone again. Thank you!
Can my university it team helps me with that ?
My account is school account
Absolutely, they just need to do exactly what I explain in this video. thank you
Hi.
Thanks for the video.
And how procces if its the admin phone who is unavailable
If the phone is not available, you will need to create/have an alternate admin user that can reset the MFA settings for the user that lost his/her phone. You can also add an alternate phone (for recovery) so you can use it in case your lose the main phone. It needs to be done before your lose access to your phone. If it is not the case and you don't other admin user, then you will need to contact MS support and go through a verification process.
Thanks.
Thanks a lot!!
You're welcome! and thank you for your comment. Have a nice weekend!
Could you please help me! I literally can’t access it at all and Microsoft always hang up the phone on me, the Authenticator app asks me for a code and I don’t have one and I can’t access my email anywhere 😢
I am sorry about this. If you have the authenticator backup and you are the only admin, then I am afraid the option is to contact MS support and ask them to reset MFA for your account, thank you.
when my computer is supposed to send verification request to my authenticator app, nothing how's up... I can't access anything and I rely on it for my job. I'm so stressed about this
Hi Helen, you could try using the verification code (One-time password code) that appears on your app when you select the account. You can also try the text code that is send to your phone when you select the option "Can't used the authenticator". Hope it helps. Thank you.
Hello Carlos,
Thanks for the video !
I change my phone and my PC was stolen.
I have a problem, i can't skip the 2FA connetion.. and i hadn't a rescue phone number or email... it's been a month that i'm in this situation.
I'm a Freelance.. i can't work on my professionnal account.
Please help me !!!
If it is a Microsoft account I can only suggest contacting Microsoft support. They will need to validate your identity and then reset the MFA for you. Thank you.
Thank you!
I am glad you liked it, thank you.
Thank you so much...
So nice of you, thank you.
if i don't have any device logged in , in this case how can i authenticate
If you are the only administrator, then you may need to contact MS support.
@@itwithcarlos thanks
What if I can't log in on microsoft because I have to use the authenticator for that too?
If you are the only administrator and you don't have a MS authenticator backup for your phone, then you will need to contact MS support.
And if im not an microsoft admin?
If you have MS 365 Business, then the admin is the only one we can reset it. If the admin is the one with this issue, then MS support can help as well. Thanks
Very good information
So nice of you, thank you!
I am not getting my admin option in my microsoft account ???
Hi Muhammad, there are two possible options why you can't access the admin panel, 1. Your MS 365 account is not a Business subscription or 2. Your username hasn't been assigned the admin role. Thank you for your comment.
I reset my phone and erased the data completely. I did not have backup enabled. Now all accounts are gone from my authenticator app and when I try to access those accounts, it is asking for authentication code. How do I get my old accounts back in this case? Plz help.
Your MS 365 administrator can reset your MFA Setup. If you are the administrator and you don't have a separate admin account, then you will need to contact MS 365 support and go through a verification process, then they will be able to reset it for you. Thank you.
I changed alternative info email and now it won’t let me onto my account without my old phone number no matter what I do I need help badly
If this is about MS 365 Business, then you need to contact the admin and request the MFA reset for your account as explained in the video. If you are the admin (and there is no other admin), then you need to contact MS support. Thank you.
brother, my account is not logged in to my pc to reset
If it is a MS 365 Business you will need to contact MS Support, after verification they should be able to reset MFA for your account. Thanks.
Sir Recently, I encountered an issue with my Microsoft work email. I was logged out due to some problem, and when I tried to sign back in, I was asked to enter the code displayed in the Microsoft Authenticator app on my mobile device. However, the Microsoft Authenticator app also asked for the same code, creating a frustrating loop. How to fix it? 😢
If you are the only admin of your MS 365 subscription, then you may need to contact MS support and ask to reset MFA for your account. Thank you.
I only have 1 device and once logged out. And i cant approve bc i got no other devices. How???
Hi, if you created the authenticator backup (with a MS personal account), you could recover it to your new device (within the authenticator app), if not, then you may need to contact MS 365 support. Hope it helps. Thank you.
Just What I Need to Know !!! WAY TO GO!!!!
Thank you!
What to do if i didn't back up my Microsoft authenticator app in my old mobile and it asking authentication in authentication app to login in new mobile

Then if I try to login to outlook mobile app then also it asking authentication from Microsoft authentication app
And also I don't have Microsoft 365 app
If I try to install and login again it asking authentication😢😢
If you have MS 365 Business and you are the only administrator, then you will need to contact MS support. If there is another administrator, then he/she will need to access the admin center and reset MFA for your account. After resetting MFA you will be able to configure your phone again. Hope this helps. Thank you.
What happened if microsoft authenticator removed your password, I reset my phone to factory setting without cloud backup, and now I can't access to 3 of my email accounts under microsoft authenticator with 2 factor authentication
HI Alex, if you are the only administrator and don't have a cloud backup or alternate phone number for recovery, then you will need to contact Microsoft support to regain the access to your MS 365 account. Thank you.
Very critical application..very bad in backup or restore any account...
@askitbe1022 Thank you for your help. I am a few weeks away from resetting my security info after waiting 30 days
I will no longer use microsoft authenticator. Hope I just get my accounts back.
Sir i had reset my phone and lost my authenticator app access and unfortunately i didn't backed-up my acc in that app, now I am unable to access my account please help me out 🙂
If you are the only administrator in MS 365 and none of the alternate authentication methods work, then you you have to contact MS support. If you have another admin, then you can follow the steps from this video. Thanks.
I haven’t lost my phone, I’m just not getting the texts . Is there a way to fix this ?
If you have a MS 365 Business account, I suggest to ask the administrator to reset MFA for your account. Thank you
@@itwithcarlos will do . Thank you. I have a ticket now for this issue
Hello sir. My phone is broken and i forget the password too. Can't i login again?
You are facing two issues. 1 Password recovery and 2 MFA challenge. If you are an admin in MS 365, you can try to reset your own password. It might require MFA, if it does, then you will need to contact MS support.
If there is another admin in your MS 365 tenant, then you can apply what is described in the video. Hope it helps somehow. thanks
Please help me
Not open my account
I don't get admin option
If you are the admin of your MS 365 Business subscription, then you should be able to find the admin icon within your apps (via login.microsoftonline.com). If you don't see the admin icon, it is because your account doesn't have assigned the admin role. You will need to contact the user with the admin role. Please be aware that it applies to MS 365 Business and Enterprise edition. thank you.
How do i get rid of phone app?
I guess you are referring to MFA, correct? You need to disable "Security Defaults" within your MS 365 admin center. It is located within the Identity (Active directory) admin center. You need to search for "Tenant Properties"
Are you Italian or French? Don't take it in racist way. I just learning those language and your accent is very close to them.
No worries, I am Venezuelan, my native language is Spanish. Thank you!

Ajá pero y si el administrador pierde el la cuenta del Microsoft Authenticator?
Si no hay otro administrador, entonces el administrador tendra que contactar a MS support y solocitar el reinicio del MFA para su cuenta. Saludos y gracias.
I have 3 outlook and Hotmail accounts I forgot my password Outlook
The process that I explained in this video es for MS 365 Business. You may need to contact Microsoft support if you have those issues with Hotmail and Outlook.com

How to reset Microsoft account if mobile number is lost?
If you are the only admin and there is not any other authentication method configured, then you will have to contact MS support. Thank you.
I can't access the admin acc itself :')

i am not getting my admin option in my Microsoft Account ??

Thank you, this video was so helpful!
Glad it was helpful! Thank you.
When I try to log in Microsoft outlook, it directs me to Microsoft Authenticator app where i have to approve sign in request in Microsoft outlook.
Im confused, how can I deal with this?
Outlook should only ask you to approve the login the first time when you are configuring your account. If you don't have your phone where the authorization has to be approved and you are the only administrator, then you may need to contact MS support. Thank you.
Hi. I had my authentication account linked, but it got removed from my phone due to some error. Now, whenever I try to log in to my account either on my phone or on a laptop , the system asks for approval from the authentication app, but my account is not linked on the app any longer. So what to do please help me.
