Another very enjoyable video, thanks for sharing, BTW, Synchromesh was invented and US patented by Earl. A. Thompson in 1922 and many companies were using it long before Alvis. But they were magnificent cars, sadly their factory is now a retail park. Keep the videos coming, its been a while, I'm looking forward to the reveal of your third team member????

I do like your videos. Great presentation and good dollop of info. For me I'd maybe like to hear a 30s soundtrack for the 30s cars like this, but that's just me. Look forward to more

Morning chaps. Loving the new equipment, works very nicely. This is certainly one of the nicest cars you have shown us to date ! Don’t do yourselves down too much, I think it’s excellent stuff, as do others, it’s easy to tell that you absolutely love doing this, and that’s why it’s so great to watch. Superb!😍😍😍.

Alvis have been back since 2013. You should check out their “Continuation” series; hand built engines, hand coach built. Quite a bit more to buy than the beauty you’re driving in this, but a brand new car which will last at least as long as the originals - probably longer.

Afine example of british craftmanship worth every penny.driving a Speed 25 for more than 15000 Km without problems racing on the Nürburgring and Hockenheimring.former owner was delighted when i told him doing so.

Great ! Now you should cover the Morgan drop head coupe 4 seater. It's like a miniature version of this .

Hi from Russia. Thank you for Your video. As for me, the colour scheme of this vehicle is very specific and not much attractive. Anyhow, the car itself is quite nice and in brilliant condition. I'm not sure that all parts are original and accurately historical value, but generally it's a great toy for a weekend trips. Nice cruiser.

My uncle had one of these. It was a pretty car but the cooling system was under sized. It would overheat idling in traffic.

Alvis were always expensive. As an example a 12/50 was more than twice the price of a bullnose Morris Cowley. Presumably when such as Jaguar emerged, not enough people were prepared or able to meet the cost of the handmade product.
Incidentally, who made the body on this particular vehicle please?
I now gather this is a re-bodied car which once carried saloon coachwork by Charlesworth. The nicely done replacement is, itself, inspired by Charlesworth.

    “It’s quite a big car”
A few million people from across the pond are questioning your statement.

Alvis is not here today because British Leyland happens and bad managent system of British Leyland destroyed many good British companies and brand, First Alvis took over by Rover. Rover had plan for making new model but Rover took over by British Leyland and everything canceled. United Scientific Holdings bought Alvis from British Leyland but they had no interests on making cars too. at the end Alvis took over by BAE system on 2004 and it was the end for Alvis.

Very disappointed with this video. Virtually no information on the Alvis except to mention that it has blue wheels.
