most keyboard enthusiasts hate Browns because they feel like scratchy linears, kinda like older Outemu Blacks. I thought my Razer Oranges (which were Kailh Manufactured, recolored Browns back then) were reds because they had 0 tactility and were nasty as fuck :p

Nah. windows Virtual Keyboard switches will always be the best for streaming in osu though.
The travel distance is virtual so it fixes every input lag problem.
Well actually, to hit those keys on the screen, you'll need touchscreen. Touchscreen has a big delay compared to physical keyboards, so it's not delay-less.

Brown is just blue but quieter
Speed is red switch but faster
Black are very bad for average play as they use 60g to press, good for stamina training

Pancakes
Ingredients
100g plain flour
2 large eggs
300ml milk
1 tbsp sunflower or vegetable oil, plus a little extra for frying
lemon wedges, to serve (optional)
caster sugar, to serve (optional)
Method
Put 100g plain flour, 2 large eggs, 300ml milk, 1 tbsp sunflower or vegetable oil and a pinch of salt into a bowl or large jug, then whisk to a smooth batter.
Set aside for 30 mins to rest if you have time, or start cooking straight away.
Set a medium frying pan or crêpe pan over a medium heat and carefully wipe it with some oiled kitchen paper.
When hot, cook your pancakes for 1 min on each side until golden, keeping them warm in a low oven as you go.
Serve with lemon wedges and caster sugar, or your favourite filling. Once cold, you can layer the pancakes between baking parchment, then wrap in cling film and freeze for up to 2 months.

The fact that I recognize all of these beatmaps...
So, I was looking all the forums for what switch i need for osu, other games, writing some stuffs and this is my personal thinking:
If you JUST want to play osu! you can to get Cherry MX Red. If you're a laptop keyboard player who like me you can play with Red but it will be hard because laptop keyboards actually have tactile bump (some keyboards don't have) and you can click without notice in game or when writing some stuffs. I think you can play League of Legends type games too.
(maybe you won't i don't know i don't have mechanical keyboard I'm 'boutta buy one in 2 weeks.)
If you want play osu! and write some stuffs like books, projects i don't know. You guys can get Cherry MX Brown. I don't know the tactile bump feeling so I can't tell anything but i always think: "Yo if tactile bump is good for single tapping what about alternating?" and I never found an answer about it. They say it's good for consistency because with tactile bump you can follow the rhythm but in Red you don't have a tactile bump so you can't follow the rhythm exactly. Or maybe you can you idk ask someone who plays with Red Switch.
or if someone plays with red switch can answer this comment for another peoples.
About Cherry MX Blues, for osu! it's really bad because Blue is like shit when you can get Brown or Red. But, it's not that bad at all. It's heavier than Brown so your stamina needs to be powerful. Who is like Merami, Gayz (high bpm stream players) uses Blue Switches.
Ok, so you know they always says, "Yo bro Cookiezi just using Brown and get a 96 acc on freedom dive, but he tried with red and he get 99 acc get dat red shit." well, he can do because he is Cookiezi, you're not Cookiezi you know...
And they says "Yo he FC'ed Everything will Freeze with Brown Switch y'know?" well, again... you're not Cookiezi?
So, the answer is: Brown (just read everything)
I know they always say "it's preference." and they're right. But I know me and you guys need some answers. We need some real answers to select a switch. I'm just gonna use my brain and select the best switch for me.
From EB3K's video i can write this down here:
Red Switches:
Stamina -> Best
Speed -> Best
Consistency -> Good
Brown Switches:
Stamina -> Good
Speed -> Best
Consistency -> Best
So, if you want to learn can you control your fingers with Red well you can test at some shop idk. There is no shop around me so I'm gonna use logic. We are all like "Holy shit can I use this but wait what happens if I can't use I don't have too much money!"
So, Brown is better in this situation. Because why? You don't know can you control your fingers and if you can't your money will be trash. But if you get brown and build a great stamina and the problem will be solved. They say Tactile Bump steals your stamina but if you have a great stamina like me (I can play 7 minute 5.8* stream-jump maps and if I fail at 6th minute I can go back and play 4 minute 5.9* easily), you guys can get a Brown switch.
Or you guys can get a Red Switch and build Consistency i don't know how to build Consistency so you guys can have a good luck on that but for me it's harder than building stamina.
You guys can use FlyingTuna's technique for building stamina it's really helping.
And an extra idea you guys can look your favorite streamers keyboard to buy. I love watching KoaLeahQ and he's using Ducky Shine 7 (w/ Brown switches & pudding keycaps). So, I'm happy about buying a Brown Switch. You just need to get how to use a switch and you can be better at this game.
So, we see the results when i get my keyboard. I will try to edit this comment when I get my keyboard so, wait for it!

You should try both the cherry Mx speed and red low profile switches. The activation speed is cut in half from a typical cherry Mx switch.

Ever since I started playing osu with mechanical switches, I've always played with the speed switches. I really like them.
I have Romer-G switches which are basically like Speed but activates at 1.5mm. Pretty good imo, clicks don't sound as satisfying though
I had Romer-G aswell. They are good for consistency but they fuck you up on stamina

For CherryMX switches I personally think that Browns are the best. I’ve tried Silvers, Reds, Blues, and Browns. Silvers were nice but it didn’t feel responsive enough when it came to streaming. (It’s so light I can barely tell if I pressed the key unless I bottomed out) Reds had a similar issue because since its linear it almost feels squishy and it makes it harder to have finger control on slower streams. Browns were that perfect middle with easy press while maintaining responsiveness and blues weren’t too bad although they do feel slightly harder to press.

When I went from reds to speeds on the corsair k95 my acc went to shit, but then I my speed went up a lot and I got my acc back after some time. 10/10 would recommend.

A Brown Switch is basically like a Blue and Red Switch fusion because like the clicks are from blues and the sound is from red in my opinion
btw what is the beatmap you used by the Gatreon clear switches?
I use the Flaretech red optical switches from Wooting One keyboard (I mention the keyboard because other marks uses the same switch but with different actuation point), they are like Cherry MX red but actuates at 1.5mm and the response time are just 0.02ms. So I think that those are the best switches for Osu! xd.

quick note: browns arent quieter blues, theyre more like reds with a tactile bump, not a heavy and clicky bump like blues. I switched from reds to browns recently and I was hesitant as first cuz I heard they were just like blues but they feel nothing alike

@@Dubufy I would go for standard gateron browns, they arent very loud and give plenty of feedback, silent switches tend to be more mushy. Reds are also good if you dont like the feeling greens had with the bump, although the bump on the browns is more subtle and isnt noticeable for me while playing unless im playing slower maps with low bpm streams/bursts

the tactility in browns is less than that of the tactility in blues, they just don't have the click jacket to make them clicky

I've been using cherry greens for over a year they start at 80g and bottom at 90 no wonder my fingers die after 1 stream map

Blacks seem pretty good for typing.
Blues and Browns seem like they are a good middle ground for typing.
Reds and Yellows seem great for gaming and pretty good for writing.
Silvers seem great for gaming.
My favorites are kailh box reds or lubed gateron reds.
Any other game: Kailh box brown

The bump is way more pronounced and way more pleasant than Brown IMO. More comparable to Blues tactility-wise
@reverial_ By feel, do you mean smoothness? I think the feel of Zealios V2's bump is significantly better, and all of the Box Clicky switches have a more pronounced tactile event due to being way sharper.
