- Unused bit from the scrapped second (1969) season of the Hanna-Barbera show "The Banana Splits". Some changes were made to the costumes -like partially-working mouths- and different version of Snorky altogether. Astute viewers will note that parts of these clips DID see some use as re-dubbed segues to cartoons ("It's time for Atom Ant!") shown during the syndicated "Banana Splits and Friends" --which was a summer afternoon mainstay on TBS (then WTCG) during the 1970s. (The Banana Splits are copyright Time-Warner and air on Boomerang daily 12:00 at 12:30 pm est!)
I watched this show as a kid, I personally don't like how they're turning this into a horror film.

I always wanted to watch this show but boomerang only showed a promo for the show and not the actual show itself.

Also, they lost the rights to FNAF and didn't want their script to go to waste

@@supermariof0521 It's certainly not the first time Hannah Barbara properties were given new genres aimed at adults. Haven't you ever watched Space Ghost: Coast to Coast or Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law? Obviously it's a formula that works.
@@otaking3582 Yeah but those are applying the source material into an adult comedy context. Meanwhile "The Banana Splits Movie" is just like "Its the classic children's characters.....except they kill people.......that's about it.".

I definitely prefer this design of Snorky.
Not only does he look adorable, but he actually looks like an elephant compared to the giant mop/dreadlock Frykid look he had in the first season.

I was entertained by these guys when i was little. Looking back at it now, i verbally just said after the clip ended “whhhhat?” Simpler times, folks, simpler times.

The movie maybe should have been a slapstick comedy. Maybe they break things, and do silly stuff, then Harley does the sloppy time course and has a blast. Then he goes home and trolls the bully at school.

I’m only here because of the upcoming movie. It’s hard to believe that a funny show like this from the 60’s-70’s could become an R-rated horror. Especially when one of those characters is Tigger!

Thanks to my dad I throw up watching them and its weird to turn it into a horror film but if you're an adult with no issue to dark humor and can stand corny horror movies (lots of not needed gore tho) its a good laugh. story is awful. Actors are awful. The fact that they made the banana splits robots is awful. Its overall *awful* and I dont wish for my kids to know anything about the horror film but I for one didnt mind watching it hasnt changed my love for the OG banana splits

I think they've actually been considering it, from what I heard, but they were having trouble with the master copies of the show or something.
