Blown Cars at Round Four of the Drag Racing Championship | Insane Racing Action in one HUGE video!

- You guys love watching these and we love filming them, the Nitro Slam round did not disappoint with some huge moments and tight racing it has made for a pretty epic video, it's a long one but it's worth the watch.
With a massive field of big tyred blown cars for this round, between Top Doorslammer and Supercharged Outlaws these guys really put on a pretty awesome show for the fans!
The highlight of the night was hands down the wall tap in the Kelvin's Mustang followed by a pretty spectacular overtake under parachutes in the braking area somehow managing to steer the car like an absolute pro between the outside of Stu Moresby and the wall (in Stu's lane) and pulling both cars up safely. I can't say that we see that very often.

@@BecauseRacecarOfficial I’ve also had to look up some of the unfamiliar race cars. I used to be a big V8’s fan when we could get it here in the States, so I kinda’ knew what to search for. Turning old-school Torana’s into blown drag cars…. They must have to carry their balls around in a wheelbarrow.
@@cl604driver haha yeah any of these cars they are a handful, I don’t think people realize how much they have to drive them until you see them from behind.. It’s not just going in a straight line like some people seem to think 😂

Cheers Tom 😁 We are very lucky, there are three of those Treasure Racing Altereds - Cleveland express (Ford Powered), LS Express (GM Powered) and the big gun HEMI Express which is obviously a blown Hemi 😁 Awesome to know our content is making it all the way over to the UK, that is seriously cool!!

Nice to see some folks still know how to do a decent burnout (then again, I was spoiled growing up in the So Cal drag racing scene during the 60's and early 70's. Loved Irwindale, Lions, OCIR, Pomona, OMS, and Bakersfield). Thanks for the well crafted video ✌😎

I was lucky enough to see funny car races in the mid seventies with my dad at Orange County raceway, Dom prisoner, , mongoose, blue max, etc, 32 funny cars at night, and 64 funny cars at night at Seattle! Priceless!

When I seen the fuel altered coming up, brought back memories here in Alaska, google, the Alaskan grizzly fuel altered! I was lucky to see it many times, and match race against Ron Fassel in his Pepsi altered and Ricky Ruiz in the Nevada rattler here in Alaska! Priceless!

Good work mate , not many ppl cover the drags in perth , I have one suggestion, could you have a second person filming from the stands? It's great to see a car fire up and move towards the burnout and stage but could we have some side on or front on racing
Cheers mate! I definitely wouldn’t say no that’s for sure if someone was keen haha.. I’ve always wanted to have a second camera filming from the deep end but it’s just a matter of gearing up and finding someone keen to hang out there for the day! 😁🤞🏼

Nice work as usual. Would love to find out what camera you're using. It seems like it is autofocusing and it does it really well. If it's manual focus you're a wizard ! Your depth of field is always awesome.
haha definitely autofocus.. I can’t zoom manually and focus at the same time, zooming is a task in itself and it’s very sensitive as you can probably tell sometimes when I’m trying to get everything framed just right, or keep up with everything as it goes down the track! I might do a video on my setup if there’s enough interest.. it’s nothing overly fancy but it is enough of a step up from using the phone in the early days!

Man,I wish I could afford a trip down under from the UK, you have some awesome cars in what we call Pro-mods,but I think you call pro-slammer. But door cars anyway.
Yeah we have pro mods also (mainly in the Eastern States) but they usually run a radial tyre! Our blown cars (Top Doorslammer/Supercharged Outlaws) here all run Slicks 😁 You should definitely come down here for a trip 😉👌🏼
I love those Australian bodies. Especially those Opels? They look like Opels anyway. Three of them, white, yellow, and a black one. But what is the orange car that looks like a cross between a Chevy Vega an a Chevy Citation?
They're actually called a Torana built by Holden (Australia's division of General Motors). They were built in the '70's and they are similar in size to Vegas and Monzas.
Sorry the orange is also a Torana and is the 2nd generation, they are a little bigger than the 1st generation.

@@myretirementlife8731 I'm guessing you're in the US or Canada? There was a guy on Ebay in Kansas that had 3D printed bodies of the gen 2 Torana. Didn't show what year he was selling this but it had ended. His ebay name was topgaskz. Might be worth trying to get in contact with him. In Australia models are generally 1:18 or 1:43 scale. Good luck.

Shame when the track can't handle the horsepower.
It definitely levels the playing field, the guys who have the most range in their tuning abilities to cater to each level of track and weather are king 👌🏼👌🏼
Yep, but it is good to see some of the drivers that got loose just pedal it n keep going rather than just giving up on the run.
