Lots if great content in here i'm interested in, mine is very loud inside a well, just got a 78 unimog 416 very similar but hand throttle is down by the foot pedal, it's nice to hear someone else discuss driving operation and its quirks. Hopefully a new video is made with similar content and audio improved.
Hey fun vid!! Ya. To bad about the audio. Small tip for next time. You can roll a couple windows down half way or so... Lets the noise escape the cab instead of bouncing around inside. .. Small improvment, unless you have a wind sock for your camera mic. Lol
I expected it to be like a tractor from the same era, but this actually looks a little more intuitive. At least compared to the few tractors I know how to operate xD
Please tell us specifically the use of three small levers. One I understood is for reversing. But other two I could not hear due to bad audio. The four wheel drive engagement switch is activated while on motion or when the car is stopped for engaging?
Pradip Kumar Shome 4wd can be activated on the fly, just not under heavy power. Middle lever activates the cascade box when forward. Right rear is forward and reverse. Front right is 3 rang selector, intermediary,crawler, and super crawler

Shifting gears looks very stiff and difficult to engage. I do not know if this is normal. Is that hand throttle business really an essential step in starting even with a warm engine?

Very nice video. That being said I hit dislike because of audio. Gaved me a migraine... I tried to watch it till the end because I am fascinated with the mogs and you did an awesome job explaining stuff (the one I could understand true rumbling) but I just couldn't. Sorry.
Geeezzzz Really I have to go with what Harpo Mars stated about the dark video and the sound is just awful = awful bad -- Please redo this as it is an interesting topic to many
Unfortunately the audio makes what you're saying totally impossible to understand. Must be a very poor mic on that camera. This would have been a good video if only you could have added sub titles.

I've been driving stick for 25 years and I got it.....but man the intermediate gear box would really throw me until I got used to it. Great stuff!

This Mog seems to be initially in use for a fire department in Austria. Gloggnitz-Aue is located 20km from where I live :D

Would you use one of these for a snowplow? I have seen - and used - one with a Schmidt snow blower but really was not too impressed.
