This was a flagship of it's time. It was the "1.6 GliP" version where "P" was for power. The facelift was a good idea but discontinuing it so soon wasn't. I don't know what happened to the manufacturer and why they stopped making it although it was a very sought after car of it's time. A tough competitor from the maker otherwise known for making small and light budget friendly cars. Even today many modifiers search this 1.6 engine for a powerful mod to prepare some Cultus etc. In 90s it was a leader of sub-compact sedans in Pak.

Incorrect infirmation. It is 1.6 gti, not glip. I still have this car, japanese assembled and only 103k km on the meter. Still love the drive and prefer it as a daily runner over couple of other cars that i have.

I don't think you will like it. For example, start with the fact that it is a 4-speed car. You will really miss the 5th gear which it doesn't have.
