I just upgraded from a 2009 roadglide to a 2020. I have these same hertz speakers from my old bike and a diamond micro 4v2 amp. I had an aftermarket head in the last bike. What do I need to make these work on the new bike. Ive been watching all your videos and can't thank you enough for putting your knowledge out there
Have you ever put the Rockford Fosgate M2 6.5 speakers in a street glide? Just wondering if they will fit by modifying the speaker pod before I bought a set. Thanks. Lots of great stuff here.
What do I need to upgrade my 2019 street glide special? Like what so and speakers do you suggest and how do you do the flag on the radio? Is it like when installing Android auto? Thanks in advance
Thanks again for the video, wanted to know if I can buy just the Rockford saddle bag grills, so I can used the Hertz 6 x 9 in the saddlebags? thanks again
Steven Collins Rockford is too smart for that . They force you to but the whole kit . I would wait a few more days before picking of the hertz 6x9s . They new Neo weather proof ones should be in stock this week .
Hey man great video,i would like to install them on my 2016 electra glide 2 in the rear and 2 in the front, are those waterproof if you run those in the heavy rain? And do you need an extra amp for those?thanks a lot
Jura Bura sorry 😐 I’m just now seeing this comment . We always use sound digital amps here at the shop . Our most popular setups are sound digital 800.4 , Rockford dsr1 , mmats pa coax or hertz Mille pro coax
My current set-up is bike-tronics 7.1’s in the fairing of my 2012 Roadglide. I have them running off a Jensen HD1BT head unit and Hawg Wired RS400 (2) channel amp. It sounds better than the stock Harley system but I’m wanting better sound and power. Looking to do 6x9 pioneers in the bags with high power amp. Are the hertz sound quality better? Thanks bro!
hi if I upgrade my speakers and install speakers in the saddlebag lids in the back what do I need to get around the factory head unit on a 14 and up Street glide
I always recommend adding a dsp like the dsr1 by Rockford so you can control the sound and fine tune the audio . You will need to flash the radio to remove the factory eq curve and activate the rear speaker outputs
The magnet is small because Harley is considering the weight of the fairing. That speaker doesn't use the amp. You want more they have a stage 1, and 2 with 300watt amps per 2 speakers. I did stage 2 with 6 speakers and 3 amps. I want better speakers to match the amps I have. Not buying more amps. 900watts total. What you got, that will drop right in, and marine-grade?
@@NVSAUDIO What kind of power they talking about? 1 amp is 300watts, 4 channels, for 2 sets of speakers so 300 splits to 75watts for each individual speaker. I will share the bike the factory installed it in. The guy's mic is shit, so it's muffled.
@@NVSAUDIO remember the speaker you compared the Hertz to is the base speaker. I would like to see a comparison to the boom2 speakers. The base OEM speakers don't have a separate amp attached to them. They use the head unit's pre-amp.
NVSAUDIO thanks for the answers. I know they are far above the factory speakers. I’m thinking of using a Rockford Fosgate kit that comes with a head unit, amp, and speakers. Are these also far better than the Fosgate speakers?
wunder8962 I love the Rockford kit , love the amp mount , love the 6x9 lid kit but I hate the front 6.5 inch speakers . I would definitely use these instead .
NVSAUDIO ok thanks. Just one more question, do they mount as easy as the rockfords? Grills and everything included or are there separate installation parts needed to buy?
One of the most intelligent and simply explained videos on Harley's shit Audio system!
Hey man, thanks to your video I bought 4 of this speakers for my Harley and sounds great. Thanks for shering
Glad I could help
@@NVSAUDIO what AMP did you wind up using to run these speakers?

Do you have to get a new amp when just upgrading two fairing speakers?
@@dustinjohnson2116 you don’t have to but we always recommend it .
Just changing speakers will
Not make
It louder

Yes you need a amp to run them
Yes they are weather resistant
I recommend the hertz Neo sx 165 Neo
Got a 17 RG do I need aftermarket amp too put these in my bike an work right?
What would you recommend front and rear speakers amp 2013 Harley ultra limited
Ground zero yellow basket coax in the fairing
Dsr1 dsp
Sound digital evox 800.4 amp
Hertz sx neo 6.5 in the tour pack pods
Are focal speakers ok for the fronts on my 2021 roadglide and are they any good

Philly 3099 hertz are much better
Look at the new sv neo
NVSAUDIO thanks, i will.
Will the hertz 6.5 and Rockford 6 by 9 sound good?
Yes
They do that hoping you’ll upgrade to their junk Boom Audio.
Will theses speakers fit in a pre 2014 street glide fairing?
wunder8962 yes
Can you change the speakers, no amp, without a flash?
I believe so if the speaker's going in r 2 ohm and not to powerful 😊

They work perfectly with the boom audio amps and they are a drop in fit .
100 percent weather proof and 3 year warranty

Can i just swap out the speakers or do i need to put a new amp and stuff
I def would say AMP. The stock radio will not give the speakers the wattage it needs
