Very concise and demonstrated, thank you! It just... absolutely boggles my mind that something literally everyone making an ebook in InDesign needs to do is such a clown show of a process. How is there not a simple PAGE BREAK object?!
Thanks for the video, but it didn"t tell me how to preserve section breaks. A section break in book editing terms is a one line break that separates changes of place, time or POV. Actually i noticed that you had in your introduction section breaks, as in line spaces, that were not preserved when then file exported. Any idea on how to preserve them?
So useful, thank you! Do you know if there is a way to create sections so that the ereader will recognize the chapter breaks and give you a count of XX pages to end of chapter? Right now, despite doing this, my ebooks treat everything as one long chapter (even though chapters start on a new page) and give the page count to the end of the book, but not to the end of the chapter.
¿Are you using Enter and multiple Enters to separate paragraphs? That's a no-no. InDesign isn't Word. You have the space after and space before to control the space amount between paragraphs, heads and subheads and asign them to paragraph styles !!!
Thank you so much! I literally spent hours trying to figure this out last night 😅
Glad to help!

It's probably an add on that wasn't originally in Indesign.
Thank you so much! I've suddenly had to make some ebooks for my work and I was looking on a solution for exactly that.
Excellent!
So useful have been fiddling around for hours thank you so much for such a good explanation

Thanks! This was just what I needed!
No problem!

Good point.
Normally I don't use carriage returns to generate spacing. I did use them in limited circumstances like for this example.
