1950s Ludwig WFL Snare Drum Restoration - Introduction

This is the introduction to a restoration project of a WFL 1950s 6.5x14 inch snare drum. The drum had one possible original hoops, non-original lugs, cheap aftermarket muffler, no strainer or butt plate, and is currently sporting an amateur black paint job. It was originally wrapped, then stained, and then painted. I will be removing the current finish, re-wrapping to a black glass glitter finish, installing an original WFL butt plate, an original Ludwig P83 throw-off, nickel plated Ludwig lugs, and nickel plated hoops, all era appropriate. Will be amazing when finished, and I will need to decide if this will join my collection, or will be offered to lucky recipient.
