@@GotAnUmbrella Most do though, or they have raised food which makes the rubber mattress thing irrelevant. It's in the farmers interest to keep the cows happy and healthy.

Farms have inspections ...and very hard and strictest inspections.
Now the stuff you saw in earthings documentary? There is alot to question. But even that, I only support real ethical organic farms like the one in this video.. this is the people we should all buy, not supermarkets.

The Hoof GP has recommended those rubber toe mats to help reduce foot issues. Reduces white line separation I believe.

As a retired herdsman it looks amazing you must have a very supporting bank manager I did notice that the cubicles fronting the feeder have no head rail you might find cows especially heifers may walk through they also will be prone to feeding cows crapping on but a real great setup Gold star🌟all round

I LOVE that you use easyfix and put these great cow beds in this new shek. Easyfix is a true best friend for the cow body. I realy appericiate you show your heart for your animals and that you want to take care of them as good as possible. Your new easyfix shek is a good example for every farmer how it can and must be for each cow!

Wow, Just wow. All of the details that had to be sorted through and decided on are beyond mind boggling. Getting one system that all fits together makes so much sense but apparently still left you with so many decisions! The team from Wales clearly nails it and will make the date you can bring the cows in so much sooner than if you struggled through installation. So smart of you not to try to reinvent the wheel installing it. Money well spent. I can’t wait to see how the cows respond to it and looking forward to a report down the road on milk production and fewer medical issues with the girls. This is a video I clearly will rewatch !

The shed is really coming on now. The care and dedication to how well and comfy the cows just shows how much you care about them. Also that fact one of the labourer drives a ford transit sport ( the silver van ) makes it a better video 👌
The 1 year, 2 year, 3 year, 5 year reviews will be a fascinating thought. Which ideas were spot on. Which decisions will have been brilliant! We’re any areas an idea which did not pan out… we will watch as long as TP will allow us.

Tom just watched your video update on your new cow shed, it looks a amazing and all the matting, barriers look like your new cows will have to prebook a cubicle to stay there, hotel quality at its best for the cows, Tom do spray anything on the fresh concrete [disinfectant] isn't there something about cows/cattle kicking fresh clean concrete the get a bacteria in the gut, love your outlook on life, and drinking tea on the move around the farm, totally relaxed attitude, keep it up

When I was in farming the cows welfare was always the most important thing. I love how things have changed for the better over the years.
I remember having cows stuck and having to go in with saws, spanners and hammers so to dismantle the cubicles so to free the trapped cow and treat it. Hopefully this won't happen with your setup but if so hopefully they can be dismantled quickly.
Well done Tom you've conducted some due diligence and come up with outstanding choices. I would hazard a guess, not the cheapest option but sometimes you have to bite the bullet and buy quality. Hopefully this will stand you well in the future years. I wish you all the best.

It is looking excellent tom- the rubber for the front feet and the feed barriers allowing the cow to lean on them to eat, the slightly raised feed passage- excellent. Just make sure there's no stones, bolts around when the cows come in! I've seen cows go into a new build when we revamped all the cubicles n feed area when I worked at Reaseheath. They are quite funny investigating everything lol!
