Efrain “Frank” Rios, I’m retired from Philadelphia Police Dept. and now reside in San Antonio, Texas. I oversee our Congregation Protection Team which includes armed and unarmed members. Most members are CPR trained, we have a doctor on our team as well as a nurse. Our team also includes women and we also have a child protection team. I always stress to the team to be eyes and ears, see something, say something.
I’ve shared many of your videos with our team and for this I’m expressing many thanks for your service and expertise. God bless you always.

Churches near a roadway can be protected with standard highway guardrail.
It would be expensive but that is how to redirect a car away from an object.

Bollards are certainly a good idea, and be be designed to look as nice as they want.

Thank you for your time in researching this. Stay vigilant, stay prayed up. The enemy will do anything to bring discord into our churches. He will not win

I'm thinking of esthetics here. Landscaping with large rocks properly placed may do the job also.

Rock would probably be the most cost-effective seeing how much construction is always being done. Rocks are readily accessible.

What are your thoughts on 100% of everyone is welcome that walks through the church doors? I go to a church where this is the policy. We have a congregation of maybe 30 people. We are at a hub that connects towns together. What are your thoughts?

Great discussion and suggestions! It's a shame we live in a time where people don't respect the sanctity of the church. That's another issue, I believe the root of the problem. I suggest using caution about assuming that light marijuana smoking compromising driving ability. I grew up long ago smoking pot and motorcycle riding with friends. It did not make us careless; if anything more alert and more cautious. I can't say that's true for everybody but that's why we don't want to generalize. Alcohol, on the other hand, that really does adversely affect our motor skills and I'm fairly confident we can generalize about that. It also seems to produce overconfidence in one's abilities. Where pot seems to produce a greater questioning of our abilities and reigning back. Food for thought. May God be with you always in your efforts to increase safety and security in our endeavors, especially when going to church to praise our Lord!

      @David Penny
You are presenting as a person who has made up his mind based on reading some thing or things which agree with what he has been led to believe already, who is totally unopen to any new ideas or thoughts or facts on the matter, any of which would by necessity be labeled as nefarious in order to not challenge his worldview of the subject.
That's not surprising, as at least half the public exhibits that trait. "That's my story and I'm sticking to it!" 😂
And, you have no real knowledge nor experience with the matter, so sure, let's just automatically believe you and take your side. 😂
Anyone can cite research papers. And of course only ones which lend support to the side they're arguing. 😂
People who have no training in economics or engineering are unlikely to know the tactics of persuasion with data, as outlined in the book "How To Lie With Statistics".
But that's okay.... People who get emotional and decry "shame on you" should *always* be heeded! Right, Greta? The sky is falling!!!
Let's see... How many times should the earth have been uninhabitable and our lives extinguished by now? Damn, I lost count. But *this time it's real! I can feel it!* 😂
Do the studies suggest that marijuana usage can cause one to digress? Just curious.
"Gateway drug", eh? Damn, that sounds scary, I'd better watch out! How long does that take, though? If it's over fifty years then I'll be after the hard stuff any day now. 😂 I've miraculously managed to avoid dependency on any pharmaceuticals, big pharma profit approved or otherwise, for all this time. I say miraculously because it certainly can't be that the idea is dumb and wrong, so it must be that I'm just so special, and anyone else would be on the streets of the west coast making good use of the enlightened free needle program, right?
And I should oblige your request to delete my post because you disagree with with my lived experience? 😂
      Indeed 🙄
