Wait, you have to 101% Adventure Mode for Hovercraft? Including Platinum Relics?
And also about the hopping thing, idk. It may have to do with keeping your momentum or something.

No u have to 100% the game to unlock hovercraft and to get 101% u need gold or platinum and you will get hot rod oxide
