I've never played RE4 (I was 4 when it first came out) I only ever watched my brother play it multiple times. Nonetheless, it is still one of my favorite games b/c I remember how immersed I was in the story. Nostalgia factor definitely makes this game ageless.
The detailed amount of research on the backdrop, its content and story makes it a better thriller n horror than most games or even movies. And the kind of screenplay writing, the narrative, moving to new interests and twists with story and bringing new perspectives and creating certain emotions in the certain parts of story and tension inbetween characters, its a thing of immense craft in this game, how it got done. I actually played RE4, Not only it was awesome and fun to play, But it also used to scared as a kid.😨(Because it was also a horror game) I didn't managed to beat it,because i got too scared as a kid, But atleast i managed to get though semi-final and i'm glad i had the to played it too.

Technically, I don’t think they’re supposed to be zombies. They’re way too articulate compared to the other zombies in R.E. I think they’re supposed to be under the mind control of a parasite So, less like Dawn of the Dead, more like The Thing
They aren't zombies,even the game says that. They're Ganados...they are smarter than zombies,and aren't rotting. They can use weapons and communicate, they have a major degree of intelligence.
People say the voice acting is cheesy, but it's actually better than most other videogames at the time. This actually is more enjoyable to watch than most movies.
Whoever said that is an idiot. Paul Mercier, the guy behind the character's voice, was perfect for this. The remake they made for the PS4 doesn't even come close to the quality of this Resident Evil on the PS2. Unfortunately in the remake they changed almost everything and I hated it!
I think even for it’s time it was sorta self aware, taking unrealistic situations and balancing it with camp and seriousness adds it’s own individuality to it all. It’s like a horror James Bond movie with a pinch of subtle satirical salt. Glad it didn’t just go the safe route, because the camp reacted from the action too, and the action would be used forever after in gaming alike. Truly a funky horror

I beat the game once, sold all my ammo, guns and rocket launcher (the special one at the end) and bought the unlimited rocket launcher and used just that till I got all my guns back lol

Did you play it on hard mode, professional, etc? You get new weapons after beating the game each time, that's the purpose. Oh, and Mercenaries which was an absolute nightmare to get 5 stars on with each character.

I don't know why but I like Leon and Luis's first conversation when they wake up is. Maybe because there's no music. Wished it was longer. His and Mike's death were sad especially Luis's death which in my opinion is one of the saddest deaths in the franchise if not in gaming history and the music and Leon's reaction makes it even more sad
I fell in love with Leon when I was 14. I not a good a player, I just play bcoz I feel great satisfaction after winning a boss fight. I hope the remake is as awesome.

Missed the scene when you get choked by Chief Bitorez Mendez in the house and he says "you carry the same blood as us it seems..." If you go back into the same room you came from he attacks you and Ada shoots from the window.
Coming back to this after playing the remake, as much as I love the remake, I dont think it lives up to the title of Resident Evil 4. Even just the first 5 minutes, the introduction is so interesting, the music, the energy, the vibes. Leons voice and witty comebacks, not that he doesn’t have them in the remake but theyre fewer and far in between. Idk, just something about the original Resident Evil 4 Leon is so much more endearing, I will say, I appreciate the remakes Ashley much more than this original version of her.

He is then taken under protective custody by secret service and questioned about the events and the plagas. And ashley should also have a gun, so she could protect herself, rather than screaming leon for help.
Re4 Remake has great graphics, smooth gameplay and gunplay, solid sound effects, awesome production quality but the OG has more charm, better voice acting, better writing and overall more endearment to it.
The fact that the OG had a movie browser literally proves how epic they made the cutscenes. I was....very disappointed after beating re4r. Most of the cutscenes felt too fast, or forced. Take the el gigante fight, he breaks down the doors...and thats it, you fight him. Hell when the log gates close, they just close. Yes its a minor detail but the OG went through the effort to actually show that the ganados are manually pulling levers to close the gates on you. Attention to detail and extra work, thats what made the OG special. Another jarring example to me was when saddler was being shot at by ada. In the remake, he just drops the bullets really fast and walks at leon. Too fast, too forced. Dare I mention Del Lago? The entire thing made zero sense. (not that it made any sense in the OG) but at least in the OG, you saw how the anchor actually got hooked onto del lago, and afterwards, leon cutting it away. In the remake, del lago pops out of the water.....and you're just attached. Thats it. Battle starts. After you kill him, again he just dies, rope just disappears. It was so incredibly disappointing.

This game is not short by any means, it's 8 hours at least without exploration or collecting treasures.
depends if you try to get all the treasures, fight every enemy, or do it by taking minimal damage

They're probably gonna cut some content likely. From experience everytime someone remakes a product of theirs it's either not the same cause of cut content or not the same cause their were some updates that ruined it. Every remake is too good to be true

Great video! Although the Resident Evil 4 remake is out, I'm still playing a lot of the original on mobile. In fact, on my latest episode of my RE4 series, I just passed through the cabin with Louis and both paths. It was intense! Keep up the great work!
I don't know why but I like Leon and Luis's first conversation when they wake up is. Maybe because there's no music. Wished it was longer. His and Mike's death were sad especially Luis's death which in my opinion is one of the saddest deaths in the franchise if not in gaming history and the music and Leon's reaction makes it even more sad

Coming back to this after playing the remake, as much as I love the remake, I dont think it lives up to the title of Resident Evil 4. Even just the first 5 minutes, the introduction is so interesting, the music, the energy, the vibes. Leons voice and witty comebacks, not that he doesn’t have them in the remake but theyre fewer and far in between. Idk, just something about the original Resident Evil 4 Leon is so much more endearing, I will say, I appreciate the remakes Ashley much more than this original version of her.
Agreed its a amazing remake but let's be honest you can't surpass a masterpiece. It really didn't even need a remake they could have just released a 10 dollar graphic upgrade pack and they would have been good

@@arielruh7773 This could be a good change. Luis surviving with leon and they both get off the island with ashley. He is then taken under protective custody by secret service and questioned about the events and the plagas. And ashley should also have a gun, so she could protect herself, rather than screaming leon for help.
who is here after watching resident evil 4 remake cutscenes? The OG has better dialogue, cinematography and character chemistry.
Re4 Remake has great graphics, smooth gameplay and gunplay, solid sound effects, awesome production quality but the OG has more charm, better voice acting, better writing and overall more endearment to it.
WAY better, cooler leon and luis too. only ashley got a forreal upgrade though
The fact that the OG had a movie browser literally proves how epic they made the cutscenes. I was....very disappointed after beating re4r. Most of the cutscenes felt too fast, or forced. Take the el gigante fight, he breaks down the doors...and thats it, you fight him. Hell when the log gates close, they just close. Yes its a minor detail but the OG went through the effort to actually show that the ganados are manually pulling levers to close the gates on you. Attention to detail and extra work, thats what made the OG special.
Another jarring example to me was when saddler was being shot at by ada. In the remake, he just drops the bullets really fast and walks at leon. Too fast, too forced. Dare I mention Del Lago? The entire thing made zero sense. (not that it made any sense in the OG) but at least in the OG, you saw how the anchor actually got hooked onto del lago, and afterwards, leon cutting it away. In the remake, del lago pops out of the water.....and you're just attached. Thats it. Battle starts. After you kill him, again he just dies, rope just disappears. It was so incredibly disappointing.
