Whitney Houston's mother Cissy Houston passes away

The mother of the late Whitney Houston has died at the age of 91. Cissy Houston died at her home in New Jersey yesterday under hospice care for Alzheimer's disease. Cissy Houston was a towering figure in the worlds of gospel and pop music.
Her career spanned more than seven decades, during which she picked up numerous accolades, including two Grammy Awards.
Houston also performed as a backing singer or alongside superstars such as Elvis Presley, Jimi Hendrix, Aretha Franklin and Beyonce.
Her daughter Whitney died more than a decade ago by accidental drowning in a hotel bathroom at the age of 4
