I've used the lx3 for the last couple of years. A few quirks to figure out on getting the proper tracking speed but it didn't take long. I was impressed with my first shots and still using it today.
Excellent! Are these with an astro modified camera? Incredible non stacked images. Where did you take them? I'm currently using an az-gti but due to size and weight, I haven't taken it to any dark sky sites yet but this little tracker looks like the answer. I'm usually more into DSOs with my little Redcat 51 so Milky Way astro is new to me - lots to learn! Thanks for the video!
Thank you for your comment. 😊👍 I have shoot on these pictures on La Palma. For the first comparison shots, I have used my Sony a 7RIII and for the last shots I have used my modified camera Sony A7. I wish you all the best for your astrophotography career. This is a very awesome hobby. And if you get to first good results, you will have a smile on your face. 😉 if you are interested in on this mini track, I would leave a link in the description in the next hours.
If you use white angle lenses, this is not a big deal. The foreground blurred only a little bit if you don’t make a very long exposure. It’s a bigger issue when you use lenses from 30mm to 150mm. Then it is better to shoot the foreground and the sky separately and stick it together in Photoshop.
excuse me, I have a question. do you have it mounted on a ball head, and is an equatorial wedge also needed? Can you show the results with a kit lens, for example the worst Canon 18-55 f 4.5? I would like to buy it but many people advise against it, I don't understand why
I have mounted it on a ball head. It’s easy to adjust it with only a ball head. You can start with an F4,5 lens. If you have a tracker like this here you will also get good results. But without tracker you must pump up your iso and the picture will get very noisy.
Do you have the tracker itself mounted to the ball head? How easy is it to polar align it on the ball? I want to get the tracker and hopefully be fine with ball head tripod I own right now.

Thank you for your comment. 👍 this is a very good and compact tracker. I love it 😉
Wow, I didn’t know that you can get so good results with this little tracker. Thanks for this review.
I was surprised too. Very good tracker.

Yes, I have the tracker directly mounted on the ball head. It’s very easy to polar align on the ball. It took me less than 30 seconds every time. 😉
@@dawa5581 Wow, thank you for the quick answer. I am a poor student and about to be poorer after buying this!
Why do you think this tracker is better than the move shoot move nomad?
I didn’t test this tracker until now, but I think the biggest advantage is that you don’t need a battery and it’s much more lighter.
Hey please look up some laser safety. That laser is clearly over 5mw. Most of the lasers on Amazon lie about being eye safe
Thank you very much for your comment. 👍 I’ve been always very carefully with this laser.
