This almost seems redundant. Most pot smokers act this way (even is this was staged). I don't like the way this "new norm" is taking way. It almost seems everyone is smoking weed. I have nothing against weed, but the mindless dolts that make it a stereotype to look a bit slow/dumb. I have friends that smoke weed and study really hard and are at Yale and such. Hate on me all you want, I just say it the way I see it.

A bit disappointed by this video. It shows weed smokers in a bad light. First, I really hate these pseudo-intellectual questions like "who's the secretary of state?". This is not real knowledge, just pretentious name dropping. As a person who doesn't follow politics closely, I don't know who's the secretary of state; it's some old, crusty geezer who will soon be replaced by another old, crusty geezer.
Second, their demographic for the video is basically dudebros. I was hoping that Jimmy, as a progressive, would diversify his demographic. I know it's comedy and all but it's still doing a disservice by perpetuating cannabis stigma... I smoke weed occasionally (but regularly) for many years now and I work and study in physics academia in a major university. I know many other very intelligent people from STEM fields who smoke and even do psychedelics from time to time. At the risk of sounding arrogant, Jimmy's writers are not even capable of coming up with questions that could properly test the extent of the knowledge and intelligence of science academia smokers. Jimmy, make up some proper questions and come with your pot quiz to some of the hard science departments in a top uni. I guarantee very different results (and enough smokers to quiz).

I'm not over-analyzing. This kind of stuff has some effect on public opinion. Helping to perpetuate the stigma that stoners are dumb hiders legalization. Once weed is legal and most people are well aware of its effect, I won't mind videos like this at all.

The difference between a regular joke and this video is that in this video the participants are real people. It's one thing making a joke that stoners are slow, it's another thing to do a public quiz and show only the people who fit the stereotype.
I live in Canada. Although I don't disagree with you on the second point, public opinion plays a big role in many countries and even in the US, to some degree. Imagine that suddenly the American public unanimously calls for legalization. In such a case, the lobbyists, even with all their power, wouldn't be able to keep pushing their anti-weed agenda for too long. Even in the US, to successfully pursue a large scale agenda, the public either has to be happy to some degree with what you're doing, indifferent about it or ignorant/misinformed about it.

It's 2015...and high time we get over the stereotypes and taboos surrounding marijuana. They _might_ have been true in the 70s or something...but these days, honestly *_every single_* intelligent ethical creative person I know...smokes marijuana, and usually prefers it over alcohol. It's hilarious, and annoying, how alcohol is sold openly and is totally socially acceptable...and yet it's the most lethal drug that exists, is highly addictive, easy to overdose on, and responsible for a *_huge_* amount of crime. While marijuana is quite literally as dangerous as water. Hell, that's not even true...because you *_can_* die from drinking too much water...while it is physiologically impossible to die from smoking too much marijuana. Our attitude towards drugs is so skewed and the polar opposite of what it should be. Though, thankfully that does seem to be changing...

As a regular pot smoker, I pay more attention to and know vastly more about politics than your average person. Politics is my thing... after physics of course. But you could ask these same questions to your average straight-edge person and they too could not answer the questions unless it was something that was very recently in the news.

Most of the people who don't smoke don't know this stuff either. And you can't tell me weed makes you dumb. I've been smoking weed for nearly 4 years. At least 2 years since I've been smoking on a regular basis (AT LEAST 3/4 times a week). There was a point when i smoked at 3-4 joints every single day for like 3 months. I still managed to study every single night and get very good marks in assessments and NABs. So yeah, I don't like to brag but I feel like I should probably say this... I finished secondary school (high school) with some of the best grades in my year (6 Highers: 5 A's and 1 B). I am now in my 1st year of Accountancy at university.

3 - I'm jewish, so I don't care, but Pope Francis.

6 - Scalia, Sotomayor and Ginsburg. These are all I know...
7- I have no idea who spoke at the UN about climate change last week... sorry
8 - That's a long one... Someone in the house/senate introduces the bill, then there's a bunch of readings and hearings with the commitees, then the Senate/House vote on the bill and finally the president signs the bill and that's pretty much it! Also, if the president vetoes a bill they can still overrule him by having 2/3 of the votes from the crongress...

You would get the same answers from typical college students. I knew every answer except one, California electoral votes. I guessed 50 and it's 55, but I don't live in that state. I'm a conservative libertarian and keep up with current events daily. As a college student, I experience idiots like these every day in class.

lmao even the people on the street who don't smoke pot probably can't answer these political questions. my dad uses medical marijuana and goddamn he is so into politics. like CRAZY INTO POLITICS. I mean the guy in the white polo and the girl are really cute and funny, but the sketch can be kinda harmful culturally in that it feeds into the idea that pot smokers sit around eating and playing video games or something when quite frankly that's not true. It's perpetuation like this that makes access to marijuana, especially for people in actual need of it, really difficult.
