I had an exedy lightweight flywheel years back and needed it surfaced. The local shop complained it was some special chromoly and difficult to surface. I had never heard anything about a flywheel being difficult to surface.
Also, if the flywheel has a raised outer edge for the pressure plate, how does the machine clear? Do you swap the cutting bit?
