    I know the pain of not using your equipment to the best of its ability very well. But you took the time to test and learn now, and that’s what’s important! Great job. And thank you for such a great video. It really helped when you showed all the noise present during those settings.

  • @TomJozefnl

    Thanks man! I Just bought this mic and this is really helpfull. Question for anyone here: I bought the 'lumix S5 mark II'. When I use the 20+ on this mic and want to turn the audio on the camera down, I got two options: 1) Just de DB down (max 19 DB down) or also switch 'sound rec gain level' from standard to LOW. It seems like I need to do both things to avoid clipping. But what is the difference between these two?

    • @ZanderRound

      @@ZanderRound I tested it out on the a1 and you need to set in the volume in camera to around 11 to get the audio levels right with the rode set to +20

    Hi Zander! Thanks for the great video. I was wondering - is there a way to use the Rode VideoMic Pro (I do love it with my Lumix G7 camera) with a Macbook? It's for doing zooms/streaming and screen sharing,, that sort of thing where I need my computer to show the screen. I'd rather make use of my Rode than go out and buy the Blue yeti or similar! Any tips? Perhaps I just need some TRS/ TRRS cable? Thank you! Greetings from Australia. 😊

    • @jennyelenihealth
      @jennyelenihealth 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ZanderRound thank you! Actually meanwhile I found out something. Perhaps you can add more to this.
      Someone suggested to get a combo adapter : 1 male TRRS jack to 2 female TRS , and you plug your headphones AND your mic into the jacks first, and THEN plug into the MacBook.
      Apparently meant to work.
      Any further insights would be super appreciated! Thank you.

      @@jennyelenihealth I personally found my MacBook didn't want to work directly with the Pro+. What I did is I got a Zoom H6 voice recorder, which has individual preamps and can act as an audio interface for my MacBook. Potentially, other audio interfaces would work as well. And Zoom also offers something with less channels than the H6, which is perhaps more reasonably priced.
