    Omg! How did you manage to get the stencil on so perfect?! Pealing the stencil off was so complicated for me. Everything was getting stuck together. It was just a mess for me :( TEACH ME YOUR WAYS! PLEASE!!! Lol

    Do you know the longevity of your mats? I like to use a dense flat stencil brush to really stipple the paint in (I go over it a few times to really get full saturation), and then I mod podge it to keep it more weather proof!

    How did you keep the individual stencil cut outs (for example the holes inside the h or o)? Whenever I have tried this they pull up with the paint brush.

  • @Wrightn221

    That sticks better. I have used Freezer paper but it doesn't stick well to the mat. Thanks for the tutorial.

      For the Cricut explorer air 2 you should put the dial on custom and then select stencil vinyl on design space.

    Those little pieces are they still good to use again, I know you said you can wipe the whole stencil after use but the little pieces are they still good? Also I like my design to be really dark hardly any coir to show underneath, will it hold up well if I soak in much more paint then you are showing? thank you :)

    • @YouCanTotallyMakeThat
      @YouCanTotallyMakeThat  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      All you have to to it take a picture once you have all your pieces down so you know where they go. when done clean them up with a baby wipe or hand sanitizer and put in a ziplock back and label it.. Yes it will hold up very well I have done way more paint then this one. I also did another video on this using freezer paper and an Iron th-cam.com/video/uHCM-ntYwyM/w-d-xo.html

    Hi! Love the Diy! Question...Can I use Mylar to do reusable stencils on this machine? Have you tried? Any info helps! I was ordering stencils from someone and they're not going to custom make them anymore so I want to start making them myself.

    • @YouCanTotallyMakeThat
      @YouCanTotallyMakeThat  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you very good question I haven't tried it yet but I would think you can.. also you can use freezer paper to make stencils as well I hope this help use your iron to tack down the freezer paper while using it and it will peel right off when your done :)

    Thanks for this! Quick question, I watched another video where a lady had a slightly different approach, she didn't use the vinyl, did you have problems with the middle pieces not slicking well? For example the middle of the lower case "e"?

    • @YouCanTotallyMakeThat
      @YouCanTotallyMakeThat  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes I just used a my Cricut tool to hold it still you can also use a tooth pick. I also did this using freezer paper and lightly ironed it on th-cam.com/video/uHCM-ntYwyM/w-d-xo.html

    I have a question, at this is because I don't know a lot from the Cricut use or materials.
    The Crigut can cut cardboard? or paper? and if thats the case, why dont cut the paper and spray or paint it exactly the way you are doing this? I ask because I think that Cricut can cut that, but im not sure about this, and I don't know why use vinyl if paper could be an option, but maybe im wrong cause I don't know if Cricut use those materials or there is another thing that I don't know !

    • @YouCanTotallyMakeThat
      @YouCanTotallyMakeThat  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      you are correct you can use paper or card board I have done another video using freezer paper. If you used paper or cardboard you would just need something to hold each piece down so it don't move :)

    They paint is way too cheap of a paint for a doormat, it says for outdoor use but is really cheap low quality. That is why it's so cheap.
