Tell Sammy if he leaves like a 3' tail swinging from your right hand ,if you're right handed, 6ou can whip those straps right over the trailer without rolling straps. Just make sure you got enough slack pulled out from the winch to make it over top the load. It can't still be wrapped around the winch tight. Good video. Thank you
Most horse customers don’t build anything easy to get into with a hay trailer. Narrow gates, low barn doors. Usually have to throw the top layer off the back into the barn loft. A pain.
There's some truck drivers that can back a semi into a tight spot or drive then there's truck drivers that can't get the truck and trailer in a spot that's way bigger than what's needed. I used to watch trucks coming into our lots years ago dropping off semi trailers. Some would take forever to get the trailers into a hole while others just swung in and in one shot had the trailer where it needed to be. I had a older driver ask me where I wanted the trailer, I pointed to the bay I needed it in and his response was the is not big enough to get that trailer inside. He was a little bit off the door was wide enough to give you 6 in on each side. 🙂🙂🙂
Yeah there are definitely discrepancies in skill of drivers. I do kinda feel that no one should have to work all that hard for a driveway. If you order a semi then have access
I'm going to say the hay prices next fall will be crazy alot of people in my part of the country say there not going to fertilize . Poultry litter is already bought up to the crop Farmers . There is definitely going to be a major hay shortage
I just truly hope the corresponding price increase does not put ranchers and stables out of business. It’s already been steady rising for the past 4 to 5 years
Thank you so much for this video I really enjoy it these videos is the best keep on going with this kind of videos I like it how you drop it off to the customer thank you so much for the video God should bless you for work just make sure more videos a week rather post short videos like one today from your customer so where do you drop it off thank you so much
Where are you located In ohio? Iam just south of Toledo & there’s not a lot of hay around here. How many acres of hay to you farm? Amazing video & what a great operation you have. Nice job
It is very close! Although the pile compresses and it is much easier pulling them out than it is getting them in. We have a good understanding of how far boomed out we can be before we hit, so it looks harder than it is
If the customer orders did you say 30 tons, how close can you get to the desired amount, and who pays for overage? Its not like you're going to cut a bale apart. Good video.
Thank you! I actually miss spoke, the order was 15 tons. That would be a heck of a load on a semi that still wasn’t full lol. If the distance we are hauling doesn’t require a full load, i just tell them, “I’ll get as close as possible” and they pay whatever ends up on the load. Usually you can get within a 1/2 ton or so of the mark
Selling that hay, and making that money. What did you ever decide to do with the draper you found the old gas well with, are you fixing it? "Nothing Runs Like A Deere" 🦌👍🇺🇸
So this is what John Rahm is doing, when he is not playing golf :D I looked at some of your earlier vids, and with more beard, you look ALOT like John Rahm ! ( Worlds number 1 golf player atm )
Right now our “horse quality” hay mostly ranges from $7-$10.50. Little more for limited availability 4th cutting and a little less for lesser, but not bad 1st cutting
Best wishes for good hay weather this spring. The horses of the northeast need you!
We hope it’s the best year ever!
AWESOME JOB of backing truck & trailer out of barn 👏👏
Many blessings to you and yours this holiday season. Thanks
Thank you! Best wishes to you and your loved ones!
“It’s dark in here, I can’t hear”…
😂🤣
He has the best come backs
I want to meet Carl, I bet my sides would hurt for a week from laughing at his humor :) great video and best wishes :)
He is a hilarious and very kind man. Anyone would be happy meeting him

Thank you! I’ll let him know. He likes the roll because it seems to not twist as easily

This is a good channel!
Thank you! I appreciate that
How do you keep all this organized? Good video
I have a great crew!
That takes some real skill when the Telehandler is working so close to the rafters getting hay. Looks really close on the video anyway.

Do you charge extra for unloading by hand, that’s a lot work
We sure try to
good video. What variety of orchard grass do you grow?
Thank you! I believe most of our recent seeding are a mid to late maturity “Warrior” orchard grass

Stacked bales in their barn are worth 2x more than bundles of bales unloaded . I hope
they are worth more
How do they unload a van box of hay
By hand or a loading dock and skid steer

If you ever find your straps vibrating with the wind, put a twist in them, it will stop the vibrating.
We are usually maxing trailer width with hay so we haven’t noticed that, but thanks for the good tip! 👍

Haha I kinda see it!
What do you guys get a bale? Or do you just sell it by the bundle?

Bale spear made by mast Farm Service:) cool
Your making me worried that your going to run out on me. Keep me a stack in the corner of the barn.
I try to always keep in supply!
Less talking more video of task
