    I'm 63, backyard hack mechanic. Evening tinkerer. Going to pick this up Friday. I think it'll do nicely. Biggest I've ever had was a 10 gallon.

    I'm at the same turning point with my craftsman. Just had a small leak on the check valve. I too drained it about once a week. I wanted to take a look at the condition of the tank with a cheap Amazon bore scope. I'm glad I did because it was rusting and damp on the inside. I think because the flat surface didn't have a beveled ramp to actually drain moisture from the drain bolt, like these vertical ones, moisture was trapped on either side. It might be a good time to check before the welds get rusted out

      Any compressor will have rust on the inside. The question is just how deep into the metal.

    Harbor Freight sent me a 25% coupon, so I bought this compressor. Good review. Thanks.

    Even though it's not double the gallons, the Mcgraw is easily more than double the capacity, because of its +50 psi tank pressure over the Craftsman.

    Hi! I have an air compressor like that, but today started the air coming out from the valve its below the regulator. Its the valve has a ring to pull it out.
    Do you know why air its coming out from the valve and what I have to do to air stop coming out?
    Thank You

      Thanks for watching and your comment/question. I’m not at all sure but sounds like the pressure relief valve has started leaking. I don’t know of any way to repair that other than replace that valve. Remember that air compressors can build dangerous levels of stored energy so if you aren’t sure it’s safe it’s better not to try to fix yourself. Good luck and stay safe!

      Mine lasted two years at my detail shop, died on me last week, to be fair we use it hard daily as we use a lot of air, I think for a homeowner it would last many years, I just bought the 26 gallon Kobalt, possible it will last as long as my Mcgraw, two years.

      @@MrRedex88 I’m got mine for my home to use on impacts and tools for my car, I wish it was more scfm but I have found couple tools that pair with it well rating wise. I honestly have a lot of Dewalt 20V max XR and some kobalt impacts so I didn’t need this, it was more of a want AND batteries are so expensive, being my main reason. I would say two years of constantly running air tools at a shop or definitely paid for itself!

    Can you also use this as a pressure washer to hose down driveways

    • @CopperBarnHomestead
      @CopperBarnHomestead  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for watching and your question. I’m not sure, it is an air compressor and works great. If you have some type pressure washer that runs off compressed air then yes, but I have never seen that. Have a great day and be safe

    • @CopperBarnHomestead
      @CopperBarnHomestead  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, I didn’t notice that. That would definitely be concerning. I would return and exchange that one. It is an awesome compressor and does everything we need but like all things sometimes there is a bad one in the bunch. Thanks for subscribing! Have a great day and be safe ❤️

    I’ve been looking at this but I’m concerned about the crappy warranty it comes with. Not sure its worth a $300 gamble.

    • @CopperBarnHomestead
      @CopperBarnHomestead  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi thanks for watching and your comment. I guess you could buy the extended warranty but I never do. If it works initially when I get it home my experience is it will probably keep working for a reasonable period of time. Ours has been working great for around a year (not sure exactly how long) it gets used almost everyday and is still doing a great job. YMMV, thanks again, have a great day and be safe!

      I got mine "exact same one" today. Currently running it through break-in procedure so i can put it to work tomorrow. My 1st compressor that is over 2 gallons so im super excited. I rebuild Coleman lanterns as a hobby & man does compressed air come in extremely handy. I ran for 2yrs woth that small 2 gallon so this is gonna be a HUGE uograde. Damn good bargain at 249!!!
