I used this weave to make a 8" self defense key chain. It took about four times to get the pattern, after that is was easy. Has a great look to it, will be making some bracelets next. Thank you
Have just made my third one of these bracelets. This last one I made it with a loop and diamond knot clasp/connector. Am really pleased with the results! Thank you, you tutorials are always easy to follow!
I had a hard time at first catching the pattern but once I got it down it was easy. it was easier for me to understand by thinking of doing one of each color from the left then one of each color from the right while applying your concept of always going under the previous color
I do an alternate tire tread much like this, except I don't go under the top cord, I go over, and also, I use one color on the left, one color on the right. Ends up looking liked a checkered pattern tire tread
I took me several trials and errors. Untying and retying until I could actually see how the pattern worked. It helped me to look at the edges which have a nice serpentine pattern to see where I made a mistake. So I untied back to there and figured it out. I did it in grey and brown so it kind of looks like a cobra.
A measuring tape for sewing works best for me when measuring out how much cord I'll be using, because it's so flexible and can move with the cord. For measuring the bracelet size I just use a plain 1' long wood or plastic ruler. Too easy to hurt your fingers on the side of a fast-moving retractible tape measure. Thanks for explaining how best to measure the bracelet. Nobody ever explains that...and I've watched a ton of these videos.
The pattern is to tie all your "p"s with one color and all your "q"s with the other color. That is the simplest way to keep track of where you're at in the pattern, because it is just the same as the Solomon (just with separate colors for each part of the pattern. That's all). You are correct.... It's Super easy.
Awesome! I am new to this and your instructions were great! Apparently I can't follow instructions however, so I ended up with just a Solomon bracelet I think it's called. I love the easy to follow instructions, I have watched quite a few videos and yours were hands down the best!!!! Thank you very much! Have a great day :-)
I am a new subscriber. I have watched a lot of your videos over the past week. I think this one is one of my current favorites. I have made 3 of these so far. The best looking one is blue with orange in the middle. I think it may look best when there is a lot of contrast between the two colors. I think that on the last one I did, I must have over tightened or something (even thought I didn't feel like I was using any more pressure). It seems more rounded, and it is wanting to curve toward the inside.
So I made this pattern off of you because I understood your way so much better. Well apparently I thought I did. I accidentally did a different design somehow but it turned out really cool. I have to go back and see what I did differently than you. Your tutorial was good though and helpful so thank you! I didn’t have to rewind it a bunch of times. I haven’t done paracord in a long time and this was my first thing I made to get back into it.
What will get you at first is that the side you go on seems like it is opposite of what it should be. But once you recognize the pattern you'll see it forming as you make it and know immediately if you tied the wrong part.
I was just watching your tutorial on the Cobra Belly Bar. You mentioned that you called the manufacturer to create that Lime Diamond, I have looked for almost two years for an orange that matches the University of Tennessee. What are the chances of a guy like you being able to make that happen? Hope you can help!!!
where can I send you a pic. saw a bracelet and not one I've seen before. but I want to make it.. think I know how but yeah I'm sure you've seen it before probably.
8 ft. is way too much for an 8 inch bracelet ! Very wasteful. Wish someone would post a chart of sizes like (just an example here , not for use ) 6 ft. of cord for a cobra belly knot on an 8 inch wrist. That would be great ! But so far no one has !

I discovered you can make a “one size fits all” bracelet with this pattern… tie the knots onto an elastic hair band.
Good for younger kids. 👍

Goodness, 8 feet of each color is way more than necessary. Even for my big-ish wrist, 6-6.5 feet of each was enough.
Beautiful piece
Beautiful job! Thanks for your work!!
That one was only tough only because I kept getting confused but I got it lol . Thank you

I agree. I have had to untie a few rows because without realizing it I had used the wrong side at some point.
