STOP legitimizing a man who tried to overthrow the government as a normal politician with "a test of citizenship" or "liking the outcome". This is a man rebuked by two joint chiefs of staff for autocratic views. This is a man who should have been disqualified and in jail, period.

It is too easy to blame an "uninformed" electorate. The majority voted with their pocketbooks, not worried about such relatively abstract concepts like democracy or even the rule of law. That is probably how it has always been for a large segment of the population. If you and I were under serious daily pressure to put food on the table, would we respond any differently? If Trump does somehow help the paycheck-to-paycheck citizens, it would not be such a bad thing. Of course we have serious doubts about such a vain, power hungry, and ruthless man like Trump. Good luck to the lot of you Americans
I give up. Many are blaming mainstream media but the reality is that well over half of the country has zero morals, zero values, zero integrity and a healthy dose of xenophobia mixed with ignorance. That is factually what the US just showed to the world.
I had been due to celebrate a part of my 60th year cycling the Trans America Cycling route in spring but today have cancelled the whole thing (flights, hotels etc).
Thinking on it, I have a better than even chance of engaging the mindless and morally bereft people who caused this and I have no desire to do that during a celebration nor do I have any desire whatsoever to pay any of my money to these people.
I doubt anyone will care but I also doubt I’m the only one with that view from outside the US.

New med interns would sign on for psych rotations all excited to make the change in the unfortunates life. By lunch, as initial interviews went from one to the other patients, the interns eyes glazed over, checking their watch for quitting time. Lol, after years passed, you see the same behavior from the interns, residents, and patients. The face changes but the behavior is the same. From Europe. Last night i watched a movie on WWII.
I can’t believe that Americans have elected another Hitler. Same words, same policies, same ideas. We were reflecting with some friends that many, many Americans are uneducated, so they don’t even know what happened during WWIi, except in movies. And all the people who had gone through this war have either died or are too old to talk about it, a voice in the desert. Therefore, lessons have not been learned. Start from scratch. Again.
I wish good luck to the non Trump. Hold tight and protect as much your freedoms as you can.

In order for an ammendment to be adopted and added to the constitution it needs to be ratified by 2/3 of the states after passing through the house the senate and signed by the president . Now they might be able to pull off the house , senate , and president but it's very unlikely to get the 2/3 of the states to get on board. But, because it was all anecdotal, I never discussed my observations in depth. My musings were generally taken as me venting frustration.
We are near the final chapter of this Empire. Our nation's military domination might allow it to flourish longer than fallen Empires of yesteryear. But, the experiment has reached its conclusion. The majority of the citizenry of the United States of America has an appetite for autocracy. This election result clearly illuminates the willingness of the population to waddle in the dark muck of vengeance and gripe that has overtaken this World that we call America.
