Interesting documentary, despite omissions and euphemisms. For instance, referring to the atomic bombs merely as "weapons to end a great conflict" understates their true nature. They are weapons of mass destruction, and this is what Oppenheimer's profound internal conflict post the Trinity test is about. There have also been deaths and long-term health effects for Americans exposed to radiation during the Trinity test. Their unfortunate sacrifices should be acknowledged and remembered.

At the time fat man and little were created, they were exactly 'weapons to end a great conflict'. They became deterrent much later.

First they kicked him out of the lab, and now they act like it never happened.

Oppenheimer has always been a true legend at the Los Alamos Laboratory. Nobody there wanted to see him being treated like that.

@@Elo-hv3fw Go complain at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, which ultimately became Teller's habitat. LLNL was even founded following Teller's suggestion. There is still big-time competition between LANL and LLNL, reaching back to Teller's betrayal. At Los Alamos, Teller was a lone wolf, but Oppie has remained a legend. The disliking of Teller goes so far that people use "Teller" as an insult when you misbehave in Los Alamos :)

When will we all be driving Hydrogen Cars??

It takes electricity to produce H2 ie molecular hydrogen from water! So EVs are much more basic! I agree that we need to produce better EV batteries
