passed the MSF course this past weekend, just went to the dmv and failed the written exam, I studied for hours. Some of those questions are very tricky. Going again tomorrow. It wouldn’t be so bad if the wait time at the DMV wasn’t 4 hours 😅
Literally every single question I got wrong was embarrassingly incorrect. They asked if I needed to slow down in a turn, what do I do? I'll tell you it's not fully applying maximum braking. But according to the dumb test it is.
I had the same experience. Like why are you trying to trick us. You're supposed to educate us & have 1 right answer. Most of my questions had answered that all seemed almost right without the "all of the above" option.
I was a lucky one who got a test that had some of these questions on it actually the very first question on this video was the third question on my test. And I passed. This video did help me. However you need information about turning down shifting and braking.
@oldschooloakland No, its fairly easy. Most questions are common knowledge. The NC motorcycle handbook is what the questions are based off of. And if you fail, you just return a week later to retake it. You only need to pass 20 out of 25 questions
The dmvs set out to make you fail with confusing diagrams that don’t make sense. Regardless of how well you know how to operate a motorcycle or how well you know your facts they make this test so fucking vague in the questions it’s not even funny.
@@boiwth5406 are they pretty much the same questions as in this video? I rode dirtbikes for a long time so I basically knew most of these answers already.
@@Swaps2 bro honestly the test is dumb. im currently riding around without a permit. I failed the first attempt. Not because i didnt read the book. I aid twice but the way they want you to answer the questions is dumb. They try and trick you with certain questions. Some questions arent even on the handbook lol
Anyone know how many times you can retake it in NC? Also, is there a waiting period in between? I failed mine today with some of the dumbest questions & trickiest ever. I was LIVID.
According to this video, 70 percent front for cruisers and 10 percent rear for sport bike. However I was always told 75 percent front soooo… maybe this video is flawed.
I failed the test twice. None of these questions and nothing I can find online anywhere helps me practice for the actual test. Why is this set up for failure so much?
If you try to use it as a study guide, you will fail your test. There is literally nothing on here that is on the actual test. Not one single question.
I took the MSF course this past weekend, got a perfect score on the riding portion and only missed one question on the written test. I go to the DMV on Monday and failed the written exam. I was fuming. The picture questions they give you are so difficult to understand
@andrew5345 retook it today and passed thankfully yesterday was miserable I studied with this not a single question from this video on there I was pissed.
Pretty sure the apex is the middle part of the curve (entry, apex, exit)
I was just screaming at the screen that it was wrong..lol

I just sat for the written part of my trike test and none of these questions…NONE of them are on the test at the DMV.
I’m doing the same for my Ryker none of the questions are on there this my 3rd time
I said the same thing when I took mine is none of the questions is on the Dmv test there’s on the handbook.
Do you just need to take a vision test and written test for you permit?
Yes, it's vision, written and signs test.
It is also age dependent. 16-18 have a safety education requirement.
This is nothing like the written knowledge test for motorcycle at NCDMV
I’m taking it tomorrow, was it difficult?

None of these were on the test

Does anyone know if those questions are considered easy or hard??

If the front brake provided 70% stopping power but rear brake is only 10% where's the other 20%?
engine brakeing i think
