I know this is 3 years old, but so informative and helpful! I start studying adult nursing in September, and finding all your videos useful.
This was super helpful I’m starting my degree this year at either university of Birmingham or BCU and its useful to know what to save up for before i start. The khan academy stuff is amazing I’ve used that site loads for revision and assignments in my access course.
Pippa Cocks That’s great Pippa. You’ll be onto a head start with the Khan Academy :D it’s so good. It’s really saved me so many times haha. I just find it so easy to understand but I know some students don’t like it. Good luck for starting! 🌟

Your uniform is so lush! We wear purple scrubs 😭 so unflattering! I’m MH, so I don’t always have to wear them, thank god!

I have got a huge struggle to reference level 3 stuff in my access course and the tutor says every time that we can’t really use websites and videos in assignments and essays referencing …😟😞

Morning :) if your university say you can’t use them, then you shouldn’t use them sadly.
You’re allowed to use government websites for assignment though, and journal articles, research papers online, books etc. I hope that helps? :) x

I want to order a planner from the happy planner company but I don’t know whether to order the week to view format or the extended version, I’m starting first year nursing degree in September and I’m not sure what’s best to use for the quantity of uni work, any help would be appreciated😩

Hi Claire, I love your videos😊! I just wanted to ask if would you recommend buying a stethoscope? I'm starting children's nursing at uni in September and I know nurses in the UK don't use stethoscopes as much as American nurses or other countries. So I was just wondering if it is worth buying a stethoscope for myself and since I am doing children's nursing, if I do get a stethoscope, do you know if I should buy a paediatric one or can a normal Litman Classic III be used as well?
Hey! I have a stethoscope which I use now in GP :)
Everywhere should have their own one that you can use so it’s not 100% necessary BUT it’s nice to have your own haha. There’s a double one you can get which does adults and paediatric apparently! I’m not sure where they are. Have a look at littmann because they are amazing 😍

Hey. Great video. I just wanted to ask what the size range is for the nursing uniform?
Sana Ahmed that’s a very good question and I have no idea 😂🙈 sorry! Every uni is different as well, they all have their own standard uniforms. But our ones measure the same as tunics do if you’re a HCA already :) I have a size 10 for mine. But they have smaller sizes and go up to bigger sizes if needed x

Monty Monty Hey, I’m so sorry but I didn’t read any books for the levels of writing. I just went to our personal development department at uni with help for it all. But it’s more about critically analysing and using evidence based practiced to get those marks.

What Zee Loves I like the books but I personally prefer to watch TH-cam videos to help me remember it all. Most students I have spoke to have the Ross and Wilson books and love them :-) they are easy to understand too

Hannah Smith Thank you! ☺️ To be honest, I use my iPhone 7!! I do have a Nikon camera but recently I’ve struggled to get it to focus on video mode. I have good lights too! I bought some studio lights from eBay for £30 for the pair. Best purchase ever! Makes your video so much clearer

Hannah Smith 100% just use your phone. It’s the lightening that makes all the difference ☺️ I’ll show you the ones I got. Hang on... just warning you tho, they are huge! Haha. You can always sit by the window for natural light. That’s what I did before I got the lights ☺️ that works.

Tonia Brian Tonia Brian Hi, oooh sorry about that! I hadn’t noticed the delivery charge (I think because I’m on student prime so I get it free! If you sign up for student prime you get the first 6months free!) then you can cancel it if you don’t want to keep the prime after. But that might be a good option if you’re buying lots at the minute 😊

It depends on you. If you learn from a book then they are worth getting 💙
But I didn’t learn from books 😂 I did a lot of online learning, hands on stuff more than opening a book. X
@@ClaireCarmichael with me being dyslexic I like learning hands on not by books , am just worried I won’t be able to find answers to questions that they have in books they tell you to buy if that makes sense x
