Hey nice video, we did this hike every year with my father and brother, but my father is gone and my brother lives now in Australia so just do it now every now and then d the. With my either when te comes. There are many ways of going up, I was a guide once. Anyway thank you for enjoying Guatemala.

That I don't know since we booked very last minute, but from what I remember other people saying it was at least 1-2 weeks in advance to get the hut. Their Instagram is @vhiking.tours Hopefully that helps and enjoy your trip to Guatemala!

How far in advance did you need to book the hike so that you would get to stay in a hut rather than a tent?

can you leave any extra stuff that dont need during hike at the v-hiking house?
We didn't, we left our stuff at our hotel. But I'm sure they would be fine with it, they also have dorms so I think you can stay overnight
What month did you complete the hike on?
We did this hike in mid April from I remember. Could've been around the 10th of April 2023
Did you suffer from altitude sickness?
Not really, just had a headache for a while at the camp, but it did go away. Biggest thing is to stay hydrated

Do you think a chubby non-physically active person can do this hike? say 5ft 11inch and 210lbs?
I think so, you don't need to be in amazing shape or anything, just be willing to work hard and not give up
