But a two way player, hitter and pitcher, would be the football equivalent to a goalkeeper (defense) very good at scoring (attack). Hence why Ohtani is considered a beast. Fortunately, he needs to rest so he won’t be a position player.

Same here. I haven't watched baseball since the Barry Bonds and Sammy Sosa slugging days. Then last season, I heard about a kid who was good at the plate and on the mound. I was hooked since then. It was unfortunate he got injured. But I sure hope he gets to 50/50. If anyone deserves that distinct achievement, it's Shohei! But who knows...there's still so many games left this season that he may even get to 55/55 or 60/60 if he goes on a hot streak

If you look closely at today's stolen bases, you'll understand. The Cubs catcher threw the ball to second base with perfect speed. Ohtani's base running was just a little faster than that. I think any other player would have easily been out. It's not something you can easily see.
Last year I stayed 1 nite at Oshu, Japan. Then I came back to the USA & started watching Ohtani highlights. I also learned after coming back that Oshu is his hometown.

Ohtani is a legit pitching ace in any team, and he is a legit top offensive player in any team today. In 2022, only 5 MLB pitchers got more K than Ohtani. Let’s just remember this, Ohtani is an everyday player on top of being a part time player, aka pitcher.
