Very pro looking setup! I'm just about to build a new studio desk and have a fantastic multi mount for monitor, overhead mic, lights and camera. Looking forward to setting it all up!
Beautiful, compact clutter-free setup for a clutter-free mind! I’m very happy for you. My studio is also based on a single adjustable height table. I had been looking for a music desk with a sliding tray that could fit a full size piano keyboard, but they were all too big. Instead, I got a keyboard stand on wheels that I could slide under the table.
Nice .. I Really appreciate the fact you can get the chair arms out of your way for playing. Sometimes I like to get out of the sweet spot and away from my monitors for a listern. I think this is where the phone app for controlling your desk height could come in handy. Easily dial the sound in a lttle better. Love the Clean and Airy look. . mark
Very Cool !!! Happy New Year Mike. Ironically at today's coffee session with the gang (before your video) a primary topic was Medusa .. and her 2 sisters .. so when I saw what you were wearing I just had to comment.
As a past contractor working at Hallmark Cards in Kansas City, I found that quite a few people working there loved to stand and work all day rather than sit, which surprised me.
I’ve got a similar setup. Hi/Lo desks are a game-changer. I doubt I will ever use a fixed-height desk again. As to the arms and mounts for the speakers and monitors, I’ve gone with the arms for the screens and edge-clamp stands for the speakers because I live in a seismically active location and the last 7.1 we had here sent everything to the floor. The other benefit with the monitor arms is that I didn’t need to have the shelf. Anyway, nice setup and having a second viable space to work in is liberating.
I like this very much, most studios I've been in are in basements or are otherwise totally void of any sunlight - and I find that very un-appealing. Any room sound-treatment in future plans? (Such as bass-traps, etc.) Happy new year and best regards!
Really cool setup 🤘 About the KC3000 and the enclosure... I'm considering the same ssd. Are there any downsides at all, to use it as an external, instead of internal and connected to the motherboard?
Maybe one little downside is, that it has "only" NVMe protocol 1.4 instead of 2.0. 2.0 has newer "longevity features". (But in practice it does not matter that much.)
@@flatpicknut thak you for ur answer. I never used a laptop and never will. any idea if the PC case should be placed on the desk (will the weight affect the mechanism and reliability) or on the floor? best regards
you do need a treated room to make it sound better other wise he can sound like crap due to bass build up in the corn of the walls and reflections of the front and back wall
Hi there. Thanks for watching. Did you happen to watch the part of the video where I explained why treatment is not important for this studio? Where i explained it won't be used for either mixing or recording? Just wondering.
Great video Mike. I have been experiencing "butt hurt" from spending so many hours in my studio..... I nevr hought of adustble desks for recordng. Thanks for sharing.
Congratulations on the new studio, Mike! Happy New Year!
Cheers Marcio :)

The DT 1990 Pro are my go to mixing cans and I love them. I only reference on cans but if you need to be quiet these cans allow you to keep going.
cool stuff! have a blessed new year!
Thank you, and the same to you!
Great setup, Mike!
Thank you :)
Mike, your setup looks incredible. Keep up the good work. Also welcome to my world of R.A. At age 76 it's done a number, so take care of yourself.
Congrats 🎉
Thank you!
looking good. happy new year, happy new studio😊😊😊😊
Can’t recommend the studio one template for the Streamdeck enough. I’ve been using it for years and it really improved my workflow!

Looks like you’ve been very busy, really good
Sounds like a good idea Mike x
What a lovely setup to welcome in 2025.

Yep, I think you need them where you are! Thank you :)
I'm totally env6of your studio! Thanks for sharing!
Enjoy and have fun.
Thank you :)
For comfort, try MDR7506’s. 👍
That setup looks amazing! You’re lucky. Waiting to hear your electric guitar.
Yes, i have them too! Very comfy :)
That's awesome
Thank you :)

Super cool! 😎👍 Why upgrade Studio A, when you can simply build Studio B? 😅
Really cool setup 🤘

Very cool indeed. 👏
Since you said you missed the daylight in Studio A which is the reason you created Studio B, why are the blinds blocking daylight in the new studio?
This was just for filming. When filming over several hours, there is too much inconsistency for camera work. Us TH-camrs need controlled lighting :)
Make the treatment on the windows removeable and only put them up when mixing?
Cool setup. Checking the desky site, it doesn’t appear either of those chairs you chose are still available. Bummer, I was sold.
Wow! I miss my well-lit room, since I had to move!
Happy New Year, Mike!
Does the monitor stand attach to the desk or does it just sit on it? I worry it could easily fall off...
Darth Vader chair! Haha
Thunderbolt 5? I think OWC makes a Thunderbolt 5 dock now.
Up to three 8K @ 60Hz,
or two 8K @ 120Hz,
or three 4K @ 144Hz
Niceeeeee‼️🔥
So... no Desky in Europe! 😔
What was the total cash outlay for this luxury space?
Can you pls give a Link To th chair
one thing you did not mention and is quite important, is where is the PC case.
I can't see it on the desk or under it.
He is using a Mac laptop, sitting on top of the shelf, under the video monitors

@ I don’t have this desk (I’m just a watcher). I’m sure the desk could handle the weight of a pc. You would just be giving up space on the desk.
So you got your Apple pc working at last?
