Water scarcity and a looming land sale threatened Claudia Hauser's family farm in Camp Verde, Ariz. - until opportunity knocked. A new relationship with The Nature Conservancy in Arizona led her to the Farm Bill, which helped protect her farm from future developments through conservation easements and funded projects that made her farm more resilient to drought. The Farm Bill is the nation’s largest investment in the voluntary and successful conservation, restoration and management of America’s private lands including farms, ranches and forests.
