We are being attacked by our own government and department of education. We are 2nd class citizens in our one country. I'm from Mayo and come from a bilingual Gaeilge/English household. Had a mostly traditional Irish upbringing. I was upset by this and I'd normally be very thick skinned but that was pure mockery. Imagine some 12 or 13 year old rural Irish or farmer children and having to see your way of life being dragged through the muck and legs being added onto it. I did an honours degree in “social,science and social policy” 30 years ago and part of the study included how the British government introduced new reading books into the schools which blamed the “work shy, lazy, backward Irish farmers for the potato famine”. I’m sorry I can’t remember what unit it was in my studies so I can’t prove this but there were examples of the children’s reading books. History repeating itself for a similar narrative! We’ve got to get to the bottom of who is behind trying to destroy us all.

It's a ridiculous Subject. Waste of time. I did Teacher Training for 6 months. Quit in unhappy circumstances. (I wasn't informed about a suicidal Pupil with mental health issues). I taught English and SPHE. One class was on personal hygiene, another on road safety. These are common sense issues that can be addressed in Assemblies, or better still at home. Another SPHE Class at Christmas time was devoted to making Christmas Decorations. It is a nonsensical 'Subject' that should be scrapped. Schools are very woke now. One English lesson I sat in, (13 yr olds) to observe, the Teacher showed a McDonald's logo, and slogan. The Kids had to write about how the advertising worked to reach people. This is not an English lesson.
This is only the beginning. This kind of thing is why more and more better off people are choosing homeschooling their kids over sending them to the so called “national” school.

I'm from Mayo and come from a bilingual Gaeilge/English household. Had a mostly traditional Irish upbringing. I was upset by this and I'd normally be very thick skinned but that was pure mockery. Imagine some 12 or 13 year old rural Irish or farmer children and having to see your way of life being dragged through the muck and legs being added onto it. Imagine how them children felt looking at them pages. I have absolutely no issue with foreigners nor equality. We were once the immigrants, so we should be willing to help other nations and their people. But to openly mock and condemn our traditions and culture, which is thousands of year old. It's absolutely shameful and shame on whoever authorised its production

I did an honours degree in “social,science and social policy” 30 years ago and part of the study included how the British government introduced new reading books into the schools which blamed the “work shy, lazy, backward Irish farmers for the potato famine”. I’m sorry I can’t remember what unit it was in my studies so I can’t prove this but there were examples of the children’s reading books. History repeating itself for a similar narrative! We’ve got to get to the bottom of who is behind trying to destroy us all.

And that's the problem. Anyone who's lived in English inner cities will tell you that's exactly how people have been living. The difference is that Irish family A has a traditional, sustainable and productive way of life to pass on to their children. A first, second or third generation migrant family A, living in Birmingham that refused to mix, learn English, kept their kids out of school setting up generations to fail and contribute nothing actually are genuinely bigoted.

It's a ridiculous Subject. Waste of time. I did Teacher Training for 6 months. Quit in unhappy circumstances. (I wasn't informed about a suicidal Pupil with mental health issues). I taught English and SPHE. One class was on personal hygiene, another on road safety. These are common sense issues that can be addressed in Assemblies, or better still at home. Another SPHE Class at Christmas time was devoted to making Christmas Decorations. It is a nonsensical 'Subject' that should be scrapped. Schools are very woke now. One English lesson I sat in, (13 yr olds) to observe, the Teacher showed a McDonald's logo, and slogan. The Kids had to write about how the advertising worked to reach people. This is not an English lesson.
This is only the beginning. This kind of thing is why more and more better off people are choosing homeschooling their kids over sending them to the so called “national” school.

What I can not understand is who or where it all originates from. Some dark group somewhere or what.
