    Thanks for the shout-out…..from the man with the sweaty, moist hands.

    Nice to see a true review on a soon-to-be crowdfunding project rather than just a preview. The teaser cards sent with Bagh Chal piqued my interest, and the realized game looks like a fun one. The Ra-lite comparison seems fitting, and is what I immediately thought of during the gameplay rundown. Reviving Kathmandu does seem distinct enough that I could see owning both, especially if you enjoy bidding games. If the price fits, and they address the issues you noted, I think I'll be backing this one.

      Thanks Aaron! In the coming weeks we'll try to address most of what Chris mentioned in his review. And thank you again for backing the Bagh Chal campaign! :)

    Will the kickstarter have a special Bob Seger edition stretch goal?

      That's their million dollar stretch goal. I think we can get there!

    How would you say this compares to Nidavellir?

    • @RoomandBoardReviews
      @RoomandBoardReviews  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Unfortunately I've never played nidavellir, but I think this would fall into the "easier to pick up and play category" since it doesn't have all the different character abilities.

      @@RoomandBoardReviews Thank you! You might want to give it a try if you liked the bidding and set collection here. In a way, it has something like the goals you mentioned, and what I like the most is exchanging coins for better ones. It's also quick and has a BGA implementation.

      @@m.schwarz Ooh nice, sounds like it might be my next BGA try :)

    Nice video! The game looks interesting! I want to play more bidding games. I like it, but have never really had a great time with it. But I like it anyway, so I need to try some more I guess. :) I am quite interested in trying QE and would say Reviving Kathmandu also looks fun. The reprint of RA is on its way... maybe it will be the one that gets me more into bidding. :)

      Thank you André! I totally see your point. In my view, what makes Reviving Kathmandu different from regular bidding games is that it compensates lost bids with random cards with the same building part on each side of the card, so you never feel that frustration of losing the bid (well, unless you desperately needed a certain building part). If you win a bid, you actually win 1 or 2 cards, so winning just 1 stills feels nice. Oh, and not sure if you are very interested in that, but we are currently working on a solo mode, which is turning out to be quite engaging :) Thanks again for the comment! Cheers, Tamas

    So I passed Project L and backed this instead, I think you get a lot more for your money and looks really interesting!

      Not at all hahaha I have both and I can grant you that project L is a massive hit on every game night since I got it from the very first Kickstarter

    So who is Pablo?

    Great job covering these sorts of games and being honest. Was this a paid preview? I'm interested in backing it if they have the data in all four corners of the card, so lefties can see their cards too,

    • @RoomandBoardReviews
      @RoomandBoardReviews  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      My pleasure. This was not a paid preview, they have given me a better PNG picture of Pablo (who is from their first game and had become an ongoing character on the channel) but otherwise just an unbiased look. I wanted to look at it because I like them as a company, but stayed around for the gameplay:)

      @@RoomandBoardReviews Awesome! FYI, they responded that because there are so few cards, it is not really an issue that the cards are not quad-indexed, It is also exciting that it plays 6!

      @the_verTigO ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's not even necessarily a leftie problem. I'm right-handed but I still hold my cards the "leftie way". I don't know why but it just feels more natural for me to do it this way. :D

      @@RoomandBoardReviews thank you Chris! Always a great experience working with you, and we really appreciate your honest opinion on our games. That's also how we can improve. Having said that, we are already in touch with the manufacturer about the wooden coins :)
