How to Fix Lay Z Spa Air Valve Leaking

If your Lay-z-spa is leaking from the air jets pipe like mine is check out how to easily fix it using an aftermarket non-return valve that is much cheaper and easier than replacing the original.
This seems to be quite a common problem with the Lay-z-spa's where the internal non-return valve perishes and starts leaking.
This valve component should work with all Lay-z-spas with the egg-style filter but check with the manufacturer before buying.

As well as water leaking from the air pipe does your spa deflate aswell because of the perished valve

Just seen your video I have had one off eBay was ok for 2 hours then started to leak it was the black one £9.99 but I have seen one you have had last night so I have paid for one of them I op it works it looks better than one I had thanks

My spa keeps deflating and needs air added every couple days. And it has this leaky water problem. Could they be connected? If I fix the return valve, will it also stop leaking air?

Could this be why the tub inflates sooo much when bubbles are going? I’ve removed the egg and water is coming out of the inflatable part only when I push the black rubber valve
Hi, I'm not sure about that, if you're only getting water leaking from the air inlet pipe when you push the valve in you should be fine. It's an issue if the valve is leaking water without it being pushed in.

Hi do you need to take the old one out first then put in the new one ? We have one that is black with a pointed end inside the new one is a plastic casing with a flat end and a pointed end don’t know how to describe it sorry thanks
I'm not sure sorry as there wasnt an existing one inside the pipe, your's might be different.
Restricts blower performance due to reduced open area. Fit a proper one
mine is leaking like this after a few days. It has always leaked and its impossible to unscrew it now as it is stuck. So cant fix. Its under warranty of course . Doesnt work at all as has a constant e4 error, So cant heat water and the leak which I cant fix causes the spa to empty overnight

Hi Lee, it's because the valve was broken so water from the tub was leaking out, water didn't come from the filter it was what had already leaked inside.
Hi I have had this problem I have bought one of those valves , is there any danger if the water will have leaked into the motor
Hi Jayne, I'm pretty sure ours got water inside the motor too and its still works ok but I can't be sure on yours sorry. I hope the valve works well for you.

Just ordered one , as lazyspa customer service where convenienced it was the pump. So I just ordered one of the eBay valves see if it works

Can this valve issue be the cause of the tub losing air also?
I'm not sure as it's a valve that blows air into the jets rather than the inflatable part of the tub. I would guess its most likely to be a puncture or another valve.
@@cooop92 yeah I can't find any puncture so assuming it is a valve or something but I am lost as to what one or what is wrong with it. Deflates within about 12 hours
Also it worked fine for 2 years but been in storage for a year
@@cooop92 i replaced a gasket that was on the jet and had snapped im assuming thats why theres water in the air intake
can you get an engineer to come out and fix as I have tried to fix a leak an a permanent e4 error which makes a brand new spa unusable. Its not just me. All my fiends and family have tried to fix but to no available. I would rather pay someone to fix than have wasted 700 quid on a spa which is unfixable by me
