4:00 that automatic bulkhead door opening and closing is AWESOME! He is right; that would help SO much in delivering. All you have to think about is stopping the van, getting the package and taking it to the door. He is absolutely right. My one complaint about that is the SOUND of the bulkhead door closing! Some of them slide on their trackks SUPER fast and make a loud crashing noise. That would literally give me a headache after a while and - not even joking - I would cover my ears as it crashes closed. (Or I would just turn off the automatic door opening, of course. The only time I make deliveries with the bulkhead door closed is at night, and that is only because the storage area lights come on automatically when you go over a bump sometimes, then it is hard to see outside with the light reflecting off the windshield. The automatic opening and closing side door is the coolest idea ever, and I am borderline in love with Utilimaster for it :P I really do admire their work so much! Their customized walk-in vans (I have sadly never driven a Mercedes one, but drive the Ram and Ford Transit versions all the time), are masterpieces! Veritable works of art. It isn't right that they don't have a more massive contract with all the delivery companies - Amazon, Fedex, *UPS*! to hell with rivian
5:41 just noticed the parking brake. one thing the Ram has which is a thousand times better and easier than this hand pulled park brake, is the automatic electric parking brake. as soon as you stop and put the van in park, it puts the brake on for you. SO cool! you can also turn that off if you hate it - not sure why anyone would not like it though. And to drive off it is also automatic. Just tap the gas once before driving off. I also like to put on the parking brake at long stop lights while the van is still in drive. Just pull a little lever next to the steering wheel, then take your foot of the brake and relax a minute :)
