  • The city of London bears many monuments to the power of God’s Word in bringing reformation and revival to His church. Standing by the statue of William Tyndale during Ligonier’s 2023 English & Scottish Reformation Study Tour, Stephen Nichols and Nathan W. Bingham discuss the “father of the English Bible” who risked his life so people could have Scripture in their own language.

Tyndales fight was singularly against popery. He said, "When I'm through the average 12 year old plowboy in England will know more Bible than the pope."

They use father as a metaphor figure to describe Williams Tyndall the first to translate the Latin Bible into English. Just like the Apostle Paul described himself as a spiritual father figure toward Timothy,
Barnabas, Silas & others church leaders as he taught them to establish new churches. There’re christian that call Mature Christian as their spiritual mentor as they got saved & helped them along the way in their spiritual growth”father or mother”.

If it was with small letter "f ' Wil be obviously clear that is a man of Lord God who was working on the Bible comprehension , but.... was written with capital "F" ....after small letters ...if it was all with CAPITAL LETTERS : " THE FATHER OF THE ENGLISH BIBLE " ..... again., should obviously clear.....and no comment to be added

Can't wait to see if Jesus will allow any statues (even of saints) to stand when he returns given they go against the 10 Commandments.

William Tyndale, who lost his life defending the spreading of God's holy word . . . would be absolutely horrified to have had a statue made to honor him. This monument, while meaning to give thanks to his sacrifice and give the people a place to memorialize him (since he never had a proper grave stone) goes completely against everything he believed in.

The Church has tossed aside Tyndale for Westcott & Hort.
    What a shame.
Can you name one person in Church history who was martyred or had to go into hiding using the Critical Text?

The Church today is made up of more than the modern day liberal churches that use the patchwork mess of Westcott and Hort. The good thing about a falling away from the church in more recent times is that the weakest chaff is the first that is falling away. Billions around the world still read the work of Tyndale and will never EVER read anything else. His work lives on and on and on.

1,000 of mankinds years here on earth is equal to one day to the creator his name is jehovah! That is why as time passes knowledge surpasses time meaning (the light gets brighter!) Tyndall became aware of this fact because people and scientists like issac Newton discovered gravity the laws of the universe. The Bible is a book of love for you and me

Newton was embarrased about the gravity theory , which has huge holes in it if you step outside tne matrix and look at it with a fresh mind.
“Tis inconceivable that inanimate brute matter should , without mediation of something else which is not material, operate upon and affect other matter without mutual contact, as it must be if gravitation, in the sense of Epicurus, be essential and inherent in it.
And this is one reason that I desired you WOULD NOT ASCRIBE INNATE GRAVITY TO ME. That gravity should be innate, inherent and essential to matter, so that one body may act upon another at a distance through a vacuum, without the mediation of anything else, by and through which their action and force may be conveyed from one to another, is to me SO GREAT AN ABSURDITY
that I believe no man who has in philosophical matters a competent faculty of thinking can ever fall into it.Gravity must be caused by an agent acting constantly according to certain laws, but whether this agent be material or immaterial I have left to the consideration of my readers.
      Isaac Newton

also this ridiculous so called law of gravity and the ‘spinning globe’ is certainly NOT Biblical!

Sadly, the Bible has become a dead symbol of pietism in the church of England, the church of men like Tyndale, like Cranmer and Ridley who gave their lives to love and honour God and His Holy Word.

Without William Tyndale no English speaker would ever have read the Bible.
Without Martin Luther no German speaker would have ever read the Bible.
The Roman Catholic Cult tried to keep the Bible (written in Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic not Latin) from being translated into languages people actually spoke. Latin is a dead language used by a dead "church'".
