- SCP 5771 is a Euclid Class anomaly also known as Mushroom Man.
SCP-5771 is an organic humanoid creature measuring approximately 30.48 meters in height, with a cephalic region resembling a mushroom of the Amanita pantherina species.
SCP5771 has a body resembling that of a human skeleton. Tissue samples have determined that its structure is composed of its own stalk material and the thorax of the creature is composed of the ring of the fungus.
What SCP-5771 uses to see and hear is currently unknown.
SCP-5771 constantly emits white spores. When these spores are inhaled, it results in spontaneous respiratory arrest.
When approached by a human, SCP-5771 will crouch down in front of them.
This stance is an attempt on SCP-5771's part to appear less threatening to humans by reducing its stature.

@Frankly Jones dmt I think it'll be problematic if you're on LSD. Shouldn't be a problem when meditating or astral projecting, though. Meditation is supposed to help with anxiety anyway.

Idea, get the mushroom man a mannequin, to practice interactions with humans. As long as it doesn't break the mannequin, there is no risk of it accidentally hurting humans, and if it does, well it knows that it should do what it did again, and the mannequin can be easily replaced.

seeing the cactus man and now the mushroom man, I must admit that it was interesting because of how Gaia created SCP 5771 and funny because it didn't want to attack humans, but its shape seems strange to me, more than it has no eyes, I wish this one luck SCP to be able to be free and maybe see for the first time

Holy cow I just checked the translation from meters to feet siren head is 40 feet tall and according to my search the mushroom man is 100 feet how has it not crumbled from gravity lol
Since siren head although does not have eyes it can “see” so my guess is it would be a scenario where the predator (siren head) becomes the prey it would probably try to run away because I don’t think the spores would affect it so I can’t see the fight lasting long siren head either runs away or is destroyed however the Mushroom man seems rather peaceful so idk

Ah yes the unintentionally harmful giant humanoid fungal titan who has a somewhat limited awareness of how humans can be frágile such as being vulnerable to great falls& strong impacts
I'm only shocked by one thing about all of the scp researchers at this point. The fact that they're still always shook and go about things like idiots in horror movies. A lot.
Yet in other stories that describe the overall demeanor of them they describe stoic and steely researchers.
That incongruity in all the SCP channels and stories absolutely fucking kills me.
they should put plants in its containment cell, though, i don’t know how that’ll go since it’s spores will just get on everything. maybe they can power wash the plants down while the other class-D clean the walls. either way, i think adding plants and trees will help him feel better

Honestly I’ve stepped on so many pointy things that it doesn’t bother me anymore. Yeah I’ve had glass in my foot for about 4 days, yes I’ve had many splinters, yes I’ve stepped on legos, but I’m gonna still walk inside and outside barefoot. Sometimes when it’s hot I like washing my car and I purposely get my socks soaking wet to help me cool down. I don’t mind wet socks, I DO mind wet sleeves
