I Didn't Believe in Bigfoot...Until I Went to Look For Him!

  • Welcome to Wonderhussy Adventure #328
I'm not much for paranormal stuff, but I figured since I was traveling through the forests of the Pacific Northwest anyway, I might as well take a look around for the legendary Bigfoot. I went deep into the forest and camped near the site of the famous 1967 Patterson-Gimlin sighting...and ended up actually changing my mind about the possibility of Bigfoot being real!
What do you think? Does Sasquatch exist? Have you seen him? Tell us about it in the comments!

You'll have to excuse the folks who like to live in their box...to each their own. But anyone who has done just a fair amount of research knows what's up.

@ClearlyCaribbeanReb You know what? I'm done trying to show folks the obvious. If you really want to know, I can assure you it's not hard to find out...plenty of evidence. Anyone who doesn't think so either hasn't done any research or they're terrified of it's existence so they stay in their box. No disrespect intended...just saying. Believe what you want.

@ClearlyCaribbeanReb You are clearly the one who don't get it......at all. Tens of thousands of people have witnessed the creatures for hundreds of years. Thousands of footprint casts, hair samples, and yes, DNA. The mother is human and the father is unknown. Anyone who wants to clown about Sasquatch not being real is either trolling or too ignorant and incapable of wrapping their brain around the fact that they don't know everything ...especially about the wilds of North America. I'm guessing you're the latter.

I saw a bigfoot back in 1963 when I was 15 up behind my house in Boulder Creek, California. At the time I never even heard about bigfoot. He was across a ravine from me when I was walking by myself on an old logging road. I heard him take 3 steps in the leaves which made me turn my head in the direction of the sound. All I could see was a big old grow stump across from me. So as I was staring at the stump I saw this head slowly poke up and it looked like a frickin gorilla head. 😳 Scared the crap out of me. and I took off running back home as fast as I could.

Every Native Indian tribe in North America believes that Sasquatch, or 'Bigfoot' is real. Native Indians have been living in North American for at least 13,000 years and have spent all that time outdoors. So they've had all that time to decide if Sasquatch are real or not ( there are over 60 Native Indian names for Sasquatch in North America ), and they do treat the subject of Sasquatch with a deep amount of reverence. I don't know why some modern people who have never ventured out in the forests somehow 'know' that Sasquatch are not real. Also, Northern California is where the famous Patterson/Gilmlin Sasquatch was filmed in 1967. I wish I was out that way to find the original filming location, but it's all overgrown now and very difficult to find.

I used to live in Iowa I was driving in southern Missouri very late at night. This was in the late 70's. My family was sound asleep. I saw a movement in a grassy ditch near the road When I got closer I passed a very large , hairy reddish figure that looked like a human but was covered in long fur. It crouched down as I passed by and it's eyes glowed red in my headlights. Somethings out there for sure. I live in Texas now. Never saw another one. In my mind this encounter plays in my head like it was yesterday! I woke everyone up, but I've never been sure if they believed me or not. It absolutely did happen though! Honest!

One day the “gold standard” for the existence of Bigfoot won’t be the Patterson-Gimlin film, but the *Wonderhussy You Tube video!* Maybe you could combine your Sasquatch search with the search for DB Cooper! Launch out of Ariel, Washington, the former location of the annual *DB Cooper* celebration parties!

There is no one subject of any kind that anyone has all the answers to. Isn't fun to feel it is possible??! If Jane Goodal has an open mind who are we to argue ?
I love your courage in stating your candor on this. Your quite the lady.

As a child in the Chicago area, we, the neighborhood kids, firmly believed that Bigfoot was hiding in the cornfields behind our houses!

Up in DuPage County, Illinois there were several burrito places. My faves were El Centro and Las Sombreros. Loved the near football sized burritos they made.
It could well be that The bigfoot don't believe in leaving their dead laying around. They may hide the bodies so it'd harder for us humans to keep track of them.
Thanks for sharing the video, Young lady. Ya done a great job.

Most people have never seen a dead carcass of any critter while in the woods, the closest most of them have come to a dead critter is when they've seen road kill.

I took my nephews camping in SE Oklahoma. During the night something threw rocks at our camp and something big was walking around our tent. Didn't see footprints so not sure what it was.
