I would love to see a video of the inside of the Flying Millyard!
Me too Pat. Love to meet Allen again but all the classic bike festivals currently not happening. Thanks for watching
His TH-cam channel has detailed videos of the buildup of most of his bikes, these are but three out of countless.
Great Vid......
Thanks Mate..
Cheers and thanks. More of the same day in the pinned comment link top of the page.
@@Banditmanuk Yea.. Ive watched them all...
They are all great.. I like the transition from inside to outside.. Someone should invent "Smellyvision" so we can taste the Castrol R..!! lol.!!
Thanks mate..
Owning one of his creations would be my dream
Don't know if you've seen it yet but on Allen's own TH-cam channel he was assembling the crank on his Kwak super 6 mk2. The guy is such a talant
lucky to see all them started thought he was going to kick start the race bike bit off a shock when he pressed the starter button
That 6 cylinder bike was just ridiculously loud
@@Banditmanuk Hah hah, just like the original RC-174's!! I'd love to see that thing up on the pipe at the Isle of Man classics race... music to the ears!😍👍👍🏍
Hero.
Another nice video for all to enjoy. I missed the MV firing up so your video was the next best thing. Thanks.
Ps. You must have got there early as it was rammed when I arrived!
Not sure if you're referring to the other vid filmed that day th-cam.com/video/xXv0dA_LZHs/w-d-xo.html but yes dark when I set off. Got there for 8.30 and filmed around the inside of the museum before it got busy. Very enjoyable day.
Blinding genius
I think Alan should get an MBE for services to men in sheds...
Absolutely 👍👍👍
SIR Allen Millyard perhaps? Let's start a petition!
@@LeBator 👍👍👍👍
The first time I went 105mph on a motorcycle was a HONDA 100CB, downhill, 1971. I was 12yo.
The first time I hit 100 was in 81 on my RD250LC. Must have been a good downhill for that 100CB 👍👍
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Where can I buy the "Millyard" range of motorcycles?
Unfortunately you can not. Most are just one off builds by Allen. Occasionally he builds two of a kind and sells one. A few of his builds are in the Barbour Museum in America.
@@Banditmanuk Sorry, I was making a frivolous comment, but I'm off to that museum in America with my bolt cutters!
@@TR6Telos 😄😄😉👍
Do we have a similar term of mad scientist but with engineers?
I feel sorry for the little back tyre on the 'Flying Millyard' .
It must work, I've watched him take it up the Prescott Hill climb. He says he rides that bike more than most of his other creations
Oh, you think your S&S stroker harley is a big displacement?
😀😀😀
Love the story about the fella at the French show that exclaimed the SS100 V-twin was a fake lol. What wonderful pieces of machinery, some of which should've been produced by the factories.
Haha yes made us smile when he told us about that. One of his more recent creations is a Velocet V twin which looks so like it was factory built. What's more amazing is he does all the work with basic hand tools in a small garage at the side of his house. Thanks very much for calling by my channel.
@@Banditmanukyes I remember about 15 years ago I was at the Stafford Classic Bike Show & he was outside with his Z1300 V12 & started it up, it sounded like a small block Lamborghini. That bike, along with his Z900 V8 is now in the Barber Museum in the States.
look at the torque reaction when he revs that monster twin☺
You know he rides that bike more than any other of his creations, does 1000s of miles per year on it. You can see him ride it on my Prescott Bike fest vid. Thanks for calling by the channel don
Imagine how good the lager would be
Suppose the natural rev limiter of the Flying Millyard is ones fillings.
😂😂😂😂
Hey Millennial! What choo got?
That man is a genius
Yep, hoping to see him again at the Stafford Bike show this weekend. Thanks for calling by the channel
Men! To your sheds!
😀😀😀👍👍
The flying Millard sounds like it idles at 100 rpm 🤣
👍 👍 👍
He's a good old.
reminds me of Guy Martin and Frank Dibnah .. best compliment I can make.
I couldn't see the Honda at all the camera was pointed up in the air. What kind of Honda was that!?
Sorry about the camera angle. The 'Honda' isn't actually a Honda. Allen built the engine from two Yamaha engines and the bike is a reproduction of the classic Mike Hailwood machine. Better view maybe here: th-cam.com/video/mTHDXAVoGNs/w-d-xo.html Thanks for calling by the channel
Anybody know what those 2 little brass levers are for ?
Amazing
I'm a massive admirer of Allen's work and was lucky enough to chat to him today at the Classic bike show. Thanks for stopping by my channel.
Allan Millyard just because he can
He’s a relic of our engineering prowess. This generation want to play on their Xbox’s. China and India are now taking off where we’ve sadly demised. We need a bit more national pride and the urge to invent and invest. We need to promote engineering to not only design but to build as well. We have the talent but it’s not being used. We our a great brand and it’s needs to be used...
Well said 👍
My lad is doing an engineering degree at Manchester university, 75% of the course are the smartest Chinese students attending one of the top courses in the world, they can see the future and are putting their best and brightest forward.
@@paulm2467 Good luck to your lad, I'm sure it will lead to a great future for him 👍
I would L💖VE to see (and hear) that RC374 on a proper racetrack!! I saw his videos of the build, and it's actually water-cooled and has electronic ignition. I'll bet that thing would scream at Isle of Man.😁
The man is an engineering genius, got to watch him ride that bike at Prescott bike fest, link in the pinned comments. Thanks for dropping by the channel Dan
@@Banditmanuk Cool, thanks!😁👍
Dan W
What are the RC374 based on?
@@kasperkjrsgaard1447 From what I understand it was based on a modified Yamaha FZR 250 (4 cyl.) with 2 extra cylinders added and a custom crank and cams indexed for a 6 cylinder. The man is a certified genius when it comes to building multi-cylinder MC engines.😉
@@danw1955 I listened to him do a talk at the Classic Bike Show today and you are correct he bought two of those Yamaha engines to build his Honda 6. He built that whole bike without drawings or CAD, just amazing
Should of been in charge of norton
We had an order on with Norton so agreed, would trust him to design a great bike. 👍👍👍
Fred Dibnah of motorcycles
That's quite a good analogy, loved watching Fred either doing his steeplejack work or fixing his steam engines.
I like story of the guy in Paris claiming one of the bikes was a fake and burning his hand on the exhaust.
Ha ha yes 'ouch'
Banditmanuk What a fucken muppet that bloke was. I hope Mr Millyard laughed his head off....Cheers😀
6:10👍💪

Even sounds like the airplane engine
It does indeed. Thanks for stopping by the channel. You can see him ride it 20mins into my latest vid here: th-cam.com/video/lajngIrv65U/w-d-xo.html
Hey, don't touch that its a museum piece! Yeh I know I built it
😀😀😀👍
Makes Orange County Choppers look lame as.
Yes I think building an engine was beyond the abilities of snr or jnr.👍👍👍 Thanks for dropping by the channel.
