I find the lore of the Spirals to be pretty sad and depressing. To think they started off a such a noble tribe only to fall so hard and into the clutches of the Wyrm.

I think that's the point. The wym is balance gone made trapped by the Weaver. The Weaver was the first triat to go mad and out of control but it's madness is different. The Weaver seeks to control and constrict everything. The great namer. When the wrym that was balance could not control it and got caught in it's web. Unable to fufuil it's primal duty as balance it went mad thinking the only way out Is to destroy........everything. like the Weaver it has no balance. There is no more balance. For the wyrm was balance and now it has gone mad. Even the wyld if It could would destroy everything. The dancers are the manifestation of the wyrms madness. There is nothing not depressing about the fate of the white howlers. They are despair made manifest and death is a mercy for them and the world but they are to mad to know it. Once they have danced the black spiral they can never come back. Minds shattered by the truth of the wyrms madness and pain. They where one of the Garou's proudest now they are their greatest enemy.
spirals are cool and all but I have seen many new storytellers use them far too early in a story ... I think one should wait a bit to introduce them ... Let the pack fight humans, spirits, banes, famori and vampires to build the packs believe that they are bad ass ... Then to meet a strong spiral or a pack of them ... Think it will make the spiarals more feared ... as they should be ... just my thoughts...

One question I had, you said the Fianna introduced the White Howlers to the Garou Nation, I was under the impression the Nation was only created way, way later when the European Garou came together with the Pure Tribes, did the Garou Nation exist way back then?
Hi! Thank you for your comment and my apologies for the late reply! In this video, I used the term Garou Nation a little sloppily; indeed, it hadn't been formed by then, and my intention was to speak about the rest of the Garou, whom the Howlers had no interactions with pre-Fianna. My bad!
As a tribe? No, I think they are too far gone unfortunately. But maybe they might be revived by heirs in other tribes? The White Howler tribebook has some interesing suggestions for bringing them back.

What you say can be supported by the fact that the average BSD is stronger than the average garou.
Agreed! They're often best saved for when the Pack needs to realize that they're not the biggest fish in the pond.
