Thank you! I needed this template to understand how to sketch the front view of the face. I like the way you teach using the dot system. Everything seems to be in proportion. I am enjoying sketching your sketches of people.
Hi Scottie Did you write a book, describing your techniques and advices, especially figures, heads, and faces. If not, would be a good idea. If so, can it be bought? Regards Detlef
I think the main colours are Paynes Grey, Dioxazine Purple and Turquoise. They also have black which I don’t use. I use Paynes grey a lot but not turquoise so much. I love purples but you can mix ultramarine and rose to make good purples anyway. The main reason I love the 16 set is the palette with 6 mixing trays 😊
I use between a 0.1 and a 0.3mm fine liner. The uniball pen here is a 0.38mm roller ball pen but the actual line is closer to a 0.1mm of a standard fineliner. My Posca is a 'Fine' tip marker.
Thank you so much! Those dots really de-mystified the face, I just finished my copy, and it turned out amazingly well! Easy to follow, and such fun.

Hi Scottie
Did you write a book, describing your techniques and advices, especially figures, heads, and faces. If not, would be a good idea. If so, can it be bought?
Regards Detlef
Thanks Detlef, I few people have been asking but a book is still a fair way off. Its definitely something I want to do though!
Thank you...
Its very helpful
Good to hear 🙌🏼
Scottie, what extra colors are in the 16-watercolor set?
I’m debating on the 12-set vs 16-set

Nice sketching § 💫💯
Thanks a lot👍🏼
Precioso 😊
Can you please do a tutorial of drawing a face looking up?
Great skill/art with a pen. Do you ever use a pencil ?
this is really helpful, do you think you could do a fish lense angle of a face?
What is the best size fineliner and Posca pen??
I use between a 0.1 and a 0.3mm fine liner. The uniball pen here is a 0.38mm roller ball pen but the actual line is closer to a 0.1mm of a standard fineliner. My Posca is a 'Fine' tip marker.
Is there any pencils or pens that you reccomend for drawing people? I need some advice since i really love art !
I'm using a Uniball Ultra Micro pen here 👍🏼
I am new subscriber..Great demo Scottie...what you can recommend diameter of Posca for a beginner like me.
I would get the PC-1M fine tip posca marker
